Ocean Pines - 2BR/2BA - Direct Oceanfront Condo!
The suites at Ocean Pines provide an idyllic escape to the quieter part of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The resort is situated on the outskirts of the quaint and charming barrier island town of Duck, N.C., an area that delivers endless ocean views, fresh local seafood, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.
THE SPACE
At this property guests have access to a range of resort amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts, and playground area for children.
All the 2BR/2BA units at Ocean Pines are 2 level townhouse style condos, with an attached parking garage / carport. The first level is where both bedrooms and both bathrooms are located, with the Master bedroom having a private bathroom and private deck. The second level is the main living space, with a full Kitchen, Dining Room, Living room with Fireplace, and another outdoor deck off the Living Room area.
All two-bedroom suites include a Full Kitchen, Fireplace, and two Full Bathrooms. King bed in the Master bedroom, two Twin beds in the second bedroom, and a Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room. Private outdoor decks on the 1st and 2nd level. You will also have access to your own Washer / Dryer unit in the utility room located in your parking garage.
This unit is rated to sleep 6 comfortably, but if you have extra children, or members in your group, you can bring an air mattress for extra bedding.
OCEANFRONT VIEW UNIT:
This specific unit is direct OCEANFRONT. From your outdoor deck you will only see the Beach and Ocean.
The Ocean Pines resort provides direct Beachfront access, and this property stretches from Ocean to Sound, providing access to both. This unit is located in the A Building (see property map in the pictures section) and is direct Oceanfront, so you will have easy and convenient access to the Beach.
UNIT INTERIORS
Since this property was originally constructed in the 1980's, you will find most unit interiors are clean and comfortable but a little dated. Hopefully the photos provided give you a general understanding for what I am describing.
The benefits offered by staying at this resort includes being in a great location inside the city limits of the Town of Duck, and all the dining and shopping options only minutes away, having easy and convenient beach access, having access to a nice indoor pool / recreation area, and being able to book this at a price point that offers good value for a family friendly budget. This unit also provides a Full Kitchen and Washer / Dryer inside your unit.
Many families enjoy their annual vacations at this property, however if you are a traveler that requires luxury accommodations, this may not be the right choice for you. If you have any specific questions on this please don't hesitate to ask.
STAIRS / ACCESSIBILITY:
Most properties in OBX have a certain number of stairs, so that buildings are elevated and protected in case of potential flooding that could be caused by hurricanes or major storms.
So almost all the units at this resort have a certain number of stairs leading to the Front Door of the unit and interior stairs between the 1st and 2nd level.
Exterior Stairs to Front Door – 7 steps
Interior Stairs to 2nd level – 16 steps
GUEST ACCESS
This is a Resort Condominium property. Guests will have their own private unit, but Pool, Hot Tub, other Amenities, and common grounds on the property will be shared with other Guests.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 25 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in. Your security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.
- LATE CHECK-IN Instructions:
The Front Desk is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. If you know that you will be arriving later than 5pm for Check In, please contact the Front Desk BEFORE 5:00p and confirm your Late Check In procedure.
- Barrier Island Station - Ocean Pines Condominium complex is professionally managed onsite by Capital Vacations. The Front Desk is staffed for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.
- The attached Carport / Parking Garage that comes with this unit can fit two vehicles (at no additional cost). If you need parking for an additional vehicle you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk, but there may be an additional fee.
- Bedding linens, Blankets, Pillows are provided. However, if you need additional items for bedding, pillows, or blankets / comforters during your stay, please bring your own, as the Front Desk will NOT be able to provide extra bedding or pillows.
- Although basic bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, I highly recommend you bring some of your own if your family members have their own favorite pillows or blankets.
- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofas during your stay, I definitely recommend bringing your own sheets, pillows, and blankets, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed.
- Bath and Hand towels are provided for you and will be inside your unit when you arrive.
- There is NO daily Housekeeping or daily Towel exchange provided. However, you have access to your own Washer and Dryer available in the Utility room located in your personal Carport / Parking Garage. Just remember that you will need to provide your own Laundry Detergent.
- Please remember upon your arrival you will find a "Starter Kit" in the unit, which is intended to get you through until you are all settled and able to get to the store. It will include...Toilet Paper - 1 roll in each bathroom, Paper Towels - 1 roll in the Kitchen; Coffee Filters, a couple packs of Coffee, and 1 small bottle of Dishwashing liquid / Dishwasher detergent.
- Recommended Items to Bring / Purchase upon arrival:
* Toilet Paper / Paper Towels
* Bath Soap
* Dishwashing Liquid/Detergent
* Laundry Detergent
* Trash Bags
* Coffee/ Coffee Filters
There are also grocery stores conveniently located in Kitty Hawk, Duck, and Corolla if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.
- The larger type Pool / Beach towels are not provided. Each family should bring their own Pool / Beach towels.
- You should bring your own Beach Chairs / Beach Blankets / Umbrellas / Coolers / Equipment you want to use on the beach. If you don’t bring your own stuff, you are able to rent Beach chairs / Umbrellas in the Town of Duck, or during most summer weeks on the beach out in front of the facility.
- The new H2OBX Waterpark recently built in Powell's Point is only about 15 miles away
- If you or any members of your family enjoy bike riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bikes (if you have the means to do so). Bikes are a great way to move around the resort, and also ride into the Town of Duck. Bike rentals in Duck are available if you don't bring your own. Remember to take your bike locks so you can lock up your bikes at the bike rack each night.
- Pets are not permitted anywhere on or in the Resort property.
