The Montage Seal Rock - Oregon Beach Vacations

Nestled on a heavily wooded 4 Acer lot The Montage is a private oasis for guests looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific North West.

Boasting stunning ocean views in a quiet and peaceful setting, this gorgeous Seal Rock vacation rental reflects its serene natural surroundings with the use of stone, wood and glass throughout the home.

Split between two floors, this 4 bedroom / 2 bath coastal retreat is perfect for those travelers who want to spread out and find their own piece of paradise.

The living room has vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, comfortable seating, a flat screen TV, and a stately stone fireplace – perfect for relaxing after an adventure-filled day. We love starting the morning with a quiet cup of coffee in the armchairs placed right in front of two oversized windows. Keep your eyes out for a whale spout in the distance.

Play the day away at the beach and then return to relax on the large deck just in time for sunset cocktails.

The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare home cooked meals, and the gorgeous wooden dining table is the perfect place to gather to recount the day's adventures.

Wake up to ocean views from the spacious primary king ensuite with flat screen TV, work out area, and access to a private deck. With three additional bedrooms – a queen with ocean views, flatscreen TV, and access to the main deck, another queen with ocean views and a stone fireplace, and a twin over full bunk – your guests will be sure to rest comfortably during their stay.
Traveling with a large group? You can also rent The Cottage which is on a neighboring private lot with The Montage.

Nice, quiet place to stay. The whole family loved it. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beach access is rough for anyone with mobility issues.

This house was the perfect decompression getaway for my family and I. Very quiet. Amazing views and sunsets. We even got to enjoy stargazing one clear night. When necessary, it was a very easy drive to either Yachats or Newport to pick up essentials. Absolutely loved our stay!

Beach Access!

This home was perfect for our family trip. The views were great. Our favorite part was the beach access. Super convenient for our multiple trips to and from the beach.

The house it self was excellent! Very quiet and private. My favorite thing was I was able to travel with my dogs. This was there first time ever traveling so it was home away from home for them. The view was beautiful! I knew this time around I wanted to be able to watch sunsets. The bedrooms were big and spacious and clean. The deck was big! Excellent getaway for you and your big family. Beautiful views out of all the windows.The only issues we ran into while there was when we first arrived my husband noticed the floor in kitchen had pine needles all over and counters definitely needed a wipe down. I think maybe property was vacant for some time. Minor things! Does have beach access but you better be in decent shape to pull yourself back up. It’s a steep incline and you have to use a rope to pull yourself up. If it had stairs going up and down it’s would be a 5 star. The company did reach out right away and ask how everything was and we told them about floor and counters and they did offer to send someone out to do touch up and we declined. We were able to take care of it ourselves. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would definitely come back. Our family of 6 and 2 dogs loved it!

The photos of the place must be very old because it looks very new, but is run down and in need of serious remodeling. Photos should be updated. Ants on the kitchen counter every day. Side kitchen door with bent weather stripping barely opens and is a nightmare to close. The view out the kitchen window of the dirt wall could be cleaned up and planted with something pleasing to look at. The photos make it look like getting to and from the beach is not a problem, but at the access point, there is a rope to repel down. We could not access being in our 70's. Our two teenage grandkids were able to do it but we had to take the dog three miles up road to another beach access. The bedrooms were spacious and 7 of us were not cramped. The deck is a great place to enjoy the view although there was only seating for four and the kids had to haul out the 2 kitchen chairs. The kitchen counter tops were very noticeably poorly installed. There is an outdoor chair on the upper deck and the cloth seat is torn in half and should be thrown away. Had to drive down to the highway to retrieve a garbage can. The dishwasher is poorly installed and wobbles back and forth. The cabinet doors are iffy and the right refrigerator door does not have room to open out properly. Only 3 silverware spoons, 2 mismatched wine glasses. Only 1 wood spatula (not ideal for the BBQ). No plastic wrap or foil. Only 1 dishrag for 7 people for 6 days. Kitchen garbage can was gross. No pride in ownership.

Seal Rock Plus - Property Needs Updated

House and location was solid. cleanliness and supplies at the home were in poor condition. I paid $700 per night to have something special but the overall impression was not good. The property managers were great and sent a repair person over to fix a few things. There was no heat and also inadequate supplies for a home that size and with that many bedrooms. We have received some support in the form of a small refund.

Worst VRBO Stay Ever!!!

The property was disgusting. The house was visibly vacant for a long time and nothing was cleaned before we arrived. All the bed sheets had hair on them and the linens in the closet were dirty with holes. We drove 30 minutes to Fred Meyer at 9:30 at night after driving 4 hours to buy sheets. There were cobwebs everywhere, the heat, fridge, freezer and TV were all broken. There were swarms of ants all over the living room and bedroom so we bought ant traps. Almost all of the windows facing the ocean were broken and foggy so you couldn't see outside. The screens on the windows were missing so we couldn't get any fresh air without letting bugs inside.The "private beach access" path down to the ocean was overgrown and the steps had eroded away so the only way to access the ocean was using a white rope that was tied to a tree to pull ourselves up the muddy hill. My husband has a bad knee so he couldn't join us on the beach. We couldn't go to the beach after sunset because it was dangerous to use the "private access path". Our feet were black and sticky from walking barefoot. The fireplace was filled with burnt logs that had been left behind so the house smelled like old fire, humidity, and musty. Two of the three bedrooms faced the back deck and had no window coverings so we couldn't be out there when the rooms were occupied. The couch in the living room was broken, no EV charger as listed, pictures on listing are old and misleading. The house is rundown, and neglected, stay away!
