Everything was great. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi instructions and the help desk solved our problem quickly. Great location, super easy access to the beach. Waldport is a nice beach community. Very relaxing space.

The upstairs/main floor of this home is lovely! The kitchen, dining room, bedroom, living room, and bathroom up there have a wonderful view and are comfortable and quaint. The downstairs, which is where you walk in, smelled really musty to us. It was just my mom and I, and we slept on the bed and the daybed upstairs to avoid the smell downstairs. It’s an old home in a wet place and it’s understandable, and it didn’t dampen our time at all (no pun intended) but is good to be aware of.

Small amount of ants on counter near stove and on the floor in right corner near back sliding door. Downstairs smells a bit moldy. Love the quick access to the beach.Thank you!

Wonderful Week Retreat

We were so stressed when we arrived at this beautiful home. Within an hour, we were calm and so happy in this lovely location. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful beach retreat!

Great place and very well marketed

It was exactly what we were expecting based on the description, which was nice! Great location with quick and easy access to the beach. House was well equipped and very cozy!

The location and the views were fantastic! The upstairs bedroom was nice and the downstairs shower had amazing pressure. My only complaint was the carpet in the basement was stained and disgusting. So much so, that I bought a pair of slippers to wear in the house. Otherwise, it was a great rustic cabin with a lot to offer!

This cottage is very clean and cozy. Location was very nice for nearby attractions. One thing that we realized is the online photos are unreliable. The cottage appears to be closer to the beach than it actually is. There are three dunes to cross. Also because it is close to the public access, there were vacationers using the dunes as a bathroom which is disgusting. The homes are wedged together so that we had construction noise on one side all week and then when we thought we could relax on our last day the other neighbor was getting a full Saturday of loud landscapers blowing edging and mowing. A vacation cottage should go off the market when there is major construction next door and we found it very disappointing. So if you crave privacy and quiet, this is not the cottage for you.

I apologize that the photos made the beach seem closer than it is — we feel the bird's eye shot we have on the listing is a very accurate look at the distance from the home to the ocean, but will consider your feedback when we next take photos of the home. I’m sorry to hear you saw people using the dunes as a bathroom; that is unacceptable. We ask that guests report those concerns to the local beach/park services so they can know to patrol that area more closely. Finally, I regret the disruption from neighboring construction and landscapers. While we can’t control neighbors’ projects, we’ll check whether this work was scheduled and update our listing notes so future guests have better expectations about privacy and potential noise. Thank you again for the helpful feedback.

Nice house on the beach

We had a great couple of days staying here. The house was as advertised. My only complaint was that the upstairs mattress was very firm which didn’t work for my back.

Ocean getaway

This was a great property. We enjoyed our stay and explored neighboring towns. Are only concern was steep steps for our aging dog Sammy. He was a trooper but was tired at the end of our stay.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Really loved our stay here, loved all the windows and the coziness of the living room. I would suggest new deck chairs since 2 out of the three are broken in more than one area. We had a great time staying here for my birthday and all wished we could afford to stay longer than 3days.

Great location

Right on the beach. Cross the beautiful sandy grass dunes to a beautiful wide beach. You can view the stars easily at night as it gets so dark. Close to Cape Perpetua and hiking trails. While it was pet friendly it did not smell like pets at all.

Great location, not great lighting

We loved the location, direct beach access and a sweet, quiet community. Only complaint is there is no overhead lighting in the living room and dining room space, and the lighting that was on the walls was hard white lighting, so playing games and doing puzzles was a bit difficult.

Best vacation house.....

It was the cutest beach house. Perfect location. It just came with roommates...ANTS!! They were in the kitchen and dining area. It didnt ruin our stay, but it made things difficult with our food. Also, maybe dust and get rid of spiders and cobwebs before the next tenant. Otherwise its a great place to stay.

Bell Oregon Coast vacation property review.

Great location with fantastic beach access. Pool at the club house was very nice. Plenty of room for us (husband & wife w/ two teenagers). Kitchen is very small. Cleanliness was so-so. Lots of dust noted on light fixtures and window sills in kitchen. Wet towels were in the dryer when we arrived. Shower drain on upstairs level needs to be snaked.

Not wonderful

The property has a wonderful location adjacent to the beach. Though clean, the home smells of pet urine. Rugs and comforters reeked. Kitchen is bare bones and the furniture is very dated. Not worth the price.

Hi Scott. We are glad you enjoyed the location of our rental, but we are sorry you were not fully satisfied. We reviewed the notes on your reservation and do not see any outreach from you while checked-in. Had we been notified, we would have promptly sent our team over to assist with the carpets. We will follow up with our local property team to see about scheduling a carpet clean. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have an opportunity to improve your experience should you choose to stay with us again.
