Just a short stroll away from Lockhart's Historic Town Square, our cozy cottage is the perfect place for a memorable weekend escape, a productive work staycation, or a sweet & easy family trip. Enjoy a night way AND get your holiday shopping done! You can dig for unique treasure without having to leave the house! This 1500 sq ft home has designated free parking and a wind-chime cladded front porch. The 3 bedrooms each have their own character and pizzaz. Two Rooms have king beds and Smart televisions. The third bedroom has a double desk/ designated workspace with high speed internet. The greatest compliment we have ever received? That this is the perfect place to write a novel! The kitchen is fully stocked with vintage tableware, cocktail glasses, and a proper coffee setup. We believe that Austin's coffee scene is the best in the country and love to show it off by offering fresh locally brewed beans and all the fixings. Guests have access to the entire house, with the exception of the garage. I am personally available for any help you may need throughout your stay. Lockhart holds the distinction of being the BBQ capital of Texas. It also happens to be one of the cutest and most charming little towns in the State. While the legendary BBQ restaurants are not to be missed, this little town has so much more to offer than just smoked meats. If you are looking to explore, take a short walk to the original downtown, Lockhart. With our stunning courthouse dating back to the 1890's at its center, it really is a quintessential small town square, rich in history and ripe with modern amenities such as restaurants, bars and even a little market! Despite its outward appearance of a sleepy little Texas town, Lockhart punches above its weight-class when it comes to festivals and events. From First Friday's, Sip n' Strolls, Court House Nights, to the annual Texas Monthly BBQ Fest there's always something to do in our little town! Because it is so centrally located, while staying at The Copper Cottage you do not need a car.
