Nice place, would stay here again

This was a last minute booking but it turned out great. The host team was easy to deal with and responded quickly to any questions. The unit is in a great location and perfect for 3-5 people. The only issue I saw is the master bathroom. The shower and toilet are in a tiny room and it’s hard to shut the door without stepping into the shower or straddling the toilet. All it needs is the hinges moved so the door swings the other way. I would definitely rent this unit and stay at the El Matador again.

El Matador 450

Maybe get some pot holders, there wasn’t any but we made due. It was a nice vacation!!

Nice view but outdated

The condo wasn’t the best. It’s outdated and the back slider and front door are very difficult to open and close. I wouldn’t rent this unit again knowing there are plenty of other updated units in the complex for the same price or less. Also, if I could do it over, I would rent straight from the matador website or the Holis website.

Overall ok

The condo was ok. Dishes had dried food on them, and if you want to cook, you literally need to bring everything. I'm used to rentals that at least basic condiments like salt and pepper. This one had nothing. Also, only one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. We had to share on the ladt night. Mattress in madter very uncomfortable, but location of condo was good.

Over 20 years of staying at El Matador

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit 450 is in great need of updating. I have stayed at many units within 3 and 4 building. This is very first one that I was disappointed with. The unit needs updated. Doors and locks need replaced. The unit is clean and balcony view is nice but I won’t stay in this unit again until updated. I’ll spend that money in another unit that’s updated and secure useable doors.

When we first arrived I was shocked to see that there were actual keys for the door. It looked as though our room was the only one that didn’t at least have a keypad entry. The bolt lock didn’t work. The balcony doors didn’t lock. The carpet looked as though someone had spilt something on it and no one attempted to clean it up. The curtains had little holes all in them. The beds were very uncomfortable and hard and the pillows were flat. There were extra pillows in the closet but they had gross stains on them and we only got one of the extra comforters out of the closet but it was dirty. The ceilings in the bathrooms were peeling off and very outdated and had gaps in the ceiling around the light fixtures. The room was ok other than those things. There were other rooms we saw that were much more updated than the one we were in. The room was ok overall but not for the amount of money is cost to stay there. I have traveled to the beach many times and I have never stayed somewhere with this many issues. Maybe they can take my 2500 and fix some of the problems. The condo as a whole was close to the water, the pool was nice, it was a family friendly place. The doors were locked to the whirlpool and sauna so you couldn’t get in. I would stay an the El Matador again but I wouldn’t stay in this room again.

Grounds are well kept. Our particular unit was comfortable but needed some updates in color and furniture. Overall we would love to visit again. Lots of things to do in area.

Beatt Family Vacation

Loved the location.

was very disappointed in the cleanliness when we checked in.. Crumbs still on counter, hair still in bathroom and stuff still all over the floor. Took me an hour to clean before bringing stuff in. Sweeper in unit was horriblw

The location can’t be beat, and the property is kept pretty clean. Now 450 needs lots of updating. The kitchen items aren’t all working or modern. Other then these issues we always leave relaxed and tan.
