Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this tranquil escape offers private beach access, a washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, and cozy beds with fresh linens and towels, ensuring all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully stocked, including an outdoor grill and utensils, so you can enjoy home-cooked meals with a view. Ideally located within driving distance to the rain forest, ferries, Bio Bay, and more, there’s no shortage of adventures waiting for you. Start your mornings with a cup of coffee on the wrap-around deck, soaking in the stunning views, and end your evenings at the local bars and restaurants. This home offers the best of both worlds: the serenity of the countryside and the beach steps away from your doorstep. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories!

We're originally from Ohio, and our family has cherished our trips to the beach house. That’s why we call it the 'Ohio House.' Wonderful host and wonderful stay! Luann was so accommodating and helpful. She makes sure you have all of the information you need to have a great stay. The home is equipped with everything needed. The beach is a very short walk (literally a minute) and is beautiful and quiet. Our family of 7 enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot wait to be back!

Great place and Host

It was nothing but a pleasure to stay at the ohio house. Great location 2 minutes from the beach not far from town to grab food and groceries And the Host Luanne was absolutely the best host ever. I will be staying again.

We loved our time in Puerto Rico and our stay at The Ohio House! The house is cozy, has all the things needed to just settle in and relax. It’s just a short walk to the beautiful beach – so close, you can hear the ocean waves. We enjoyed exploring the countryside and small towns in the area. Luann provided excellent directions to the property and helpful tips which made the check-in process very simple. She communicated with us regularly to ensure we were safe, sound, and having a great time. Juan was also great - very knowledgeable about the area and fun to talk with. We will definitely be back!

Ohio House

This house is great! It is close to the beach and in a very safe neighborhood. Juan and Luann are amazing hosts, they were very helpful for places to eat and things to do. The house worked well for are extended family vacation.

The hostess was so kind and accommodating! She check in on us periodically but was definitely not hovering. Just wanted to make sure we were taken care of.The house was absolutely perfect for our coming and going as we pleased. Its in a nice gated community so we felt very safe. There is plenty of room to spread out with 4 nice sized rooms, that all had queen sized beds in them. Each bedroom has a nice air-conditioner in them and they are quite. There is plenty of bath towels and wash rags.The kitchen is fully stocked with pans and dishes. There is even a crock pot, coffee maker, grill, counter top griddle, and there is a full size refrigerator. There is card games in the drawers in the Table. There is a washer and dryer that we were able to use. There is lots of beach towels, several large beach bags and severely coolers out on the deck and we also used for our daily outings. We had such a wonderful time in Puerto Rico. And the Ohio House was exactly what we needed!Thank you so much for the use of your home!

Hidden Gem in Playa El Cocal, Yabucoa

It was a perfect family beach getaway. It’s in a gated community, walking distance to Playa El Cocal with grocery stores/bakeries/restaurants nearby. House was just as described and Luann was very attentive, checking in on us to ask if we needed anything. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been more time….to sip on a cup of coffee on the deck that wraps around, take in all the natural beauty and starlit sky at night and listen to the waves and song of the coquis.

Ohio House in PR

This house is a must stay! The property is located in a safe, quiet area. You’re a 2 minute walk to the beach, so close you can hear the waves inside the house. We spent most nights with the windows open listening to them as we fell asleep. The beach is private and beautiful. The house is clean and just as described. The owner Luann was extremely helpful, always there to answer our questions and checking in on us periodically. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in PR!

Great stay away from busy areas

If you really want to do a ton in San Juan this may not be your ideal location as there is a lot of driving. That being said if you want a nice place to stay for a chill location this place is perfect. Ms Luann is super responsive if there are any questions or issues and the beach across the street is very pretty. I prefer a more relaxed location but we did have to drive quite a bit for activities so if that bothers you then you should probably stay closer to San Juan.
