This house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with great access to the sound and the beach. There is a pool that can be heated, hot tub, and a game room. It has plenty of room for a family beach vacation with all the amenities. Right next door to MS-9 for larger families that need more room!

Lower Level: Has a game room with a fridge, wet bar and Tv, the sleeper sofa is in this room. The game room has the direct access to the pool, hot tub, and outdoor shower. The Bunk Room has Double Bunk Beds with a Trundle which is a twin, also a twin SS in this bed room too.

Middle Level: King bedroom with a private bathroom and access to the deck. King bedroom with a private bathroom. Queen bedroom with private bathroom. There is a half size bath in between the middle and top level of the home.

Top Level: The Living room has a electric fireplace with a very spacious couch and TV to watch movies as a family with. Fully Stocked Kitchen with Stainless steel appliances.

In addition to all of this, you can also take advantage of all that Monteray Shores has to offer including community pools, clubhouse with WIFI, gym, children's activities in season, bike and walking trails, playground, tennis, 3 basketball courts, AND TWO community Piers for fishing and crabbing! Monteray Shores is the only community on the North Beaches that offers a boat launch for small crafts (kayak, sailboat, jet ski)! The boat launch is available ONLY during regular clubhouse business hours.

Georgous place and very comfy. It wasn't as clean as I would like. The hot tub has an old cover which didn't retain heat and expelled white pellets. When I called about it I didn't get a response from maintenance. Maintenance was responsive about the cleaning issue though. I would rent again if closer to beach but it wasn't that far .

Great Place!

The property was great, the rooms were clean and the space was just what we needed. I loved the location. The only negative is the number of stairs you have to climb every day to get to the living room. Also the pool is not heated in the summer. It would have made for some great night swimming.

Highly recommend

This home was so clean!!! Usually rentals are top cleaned and you always notice things missed. Not this house. There was nothing missed here. We also liked how every bathroom had little shampoos and conditioners, which came in helpful since I forgot ours. There was also a 3 ring binder they had with helpful information. The pool and yard area was small but it was just fine for us.

Fantastic!

The house was spacious, clean and full of amenities. The kitchen had everything you could think of including an electric griddle, instant pot, coffee pot, Keurig and nespresso machines. For the cook it had every utensil and dish that you would need. It even had plastic containers for the beach. There were plenty of beach chairs, pool toys and a few boogie boards too! The pool and hot tub were clean and it had a shower outside for cleaning off after coming from the beach to the pool. You couldn’t want more! Our only wish is that we were closer to the beach. It was a far walk and challenging to find parking sometimes. Would definitely stay there again!

Great family house with modern conveniences

Nice location in Corolla close to beaches and shopping. Sleeps 8-10 comfortably. Modern kitchen. Nice grill and appliances. Pool is small but warm and clean. Would come back in a heartbeat!

A little piece of heaven!

This was our second year in a row staying at Family Tides. It was just as amazing as the first time we went in 2022. The house is in the perfect location for privacy and seclusion and the private hot tub and pool really seal the deal. I would highly recommend this house for your next stay in OBX, NC. The home owners are truly awesome hosts. Thank you so much for making our family vacation memorable!

Nice stay at Family Tides

We just enjoyed a week-long stay at this nice modern furnished home in Corolla. Great location with close proximity to the beach, shopping and dining and the 4x4 beaches. The house features a very well stocked kitchen, nice open living space on the top level, comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. Downstairs was great for our kids with the bunk room, separate TV area and kitchenette with a sink and full-size fridge which was great to have on the same level as the in-ground pool in the backyard. The pool isn't large but was serviced before our arrival and very clean. Nice Weber propane grill which we used multiple nights for dining at home. We also appreciated that there were 8 beach chairs for the whole family. My only negative comments were that one of the bedrooms was listed as a queen and ended up being a full size bed and lacked a dresser/set of drawers, and that all of the bedrooms could have used a table lamp on both nightstands. There was also an ant problem upon our arrival in several rooms, which we dealt with.

Great for Families

Great place, even cuter than the pictures! This place has baby gates, a crib in the basement closet and even has a Radio Flyer wagon in the garage (we didn't know this until we got there so we brought our own everything so, Parents, I'm letting you know!). It is about a 15 min walk to the beach, which we honestly loved. We drove once and decided we preferred the walk. The place has ants, but it's Corolla so you kinda expect that and wasn't a problem for us. Recommend! Would 100% book this place again!

Family Tides Mini-Vacation 5/25/22 - 5/28/22

We thoroughly enjoyed this home. It was our very first family vacation, and our first rental which was a whole home! We didn't agree with the price for the heated pool, and only had one minor concern which isn't even worth mentioning honestly. With the negatives out of the way, pets get to the positives. We booked the wrong place to begin with, but the process of canceling and getting this one (nearly last minute as well) was really easy, and the text service offered works well. Response time is a little long, but we understand how busy you guys must be. We all were ablaze with joy when we walked in. It was super clean, smelled wonderful, and my 9 year old immediately set to the pool. The hot tub was amazing, but might need a little maintenance as the temperature buttons kept turning down. Once around this little hiccup, it was phenomenal. We were pretty close to attractions and beaches, but not too close. That was a luxury we didn't have tie to look into, so when we saw its location, we fell in love. It was easy to plan whole days out at Kitty Hawk and Roanoke Island, and then return to the home to use out amenities. We over prepared and brought along a lot of toys, chairs, and an umbrella. Though we were glad we brought them, we were overjoyed to see these items supplied. We used one of the shovels even, as we were one shovel short. Thank you so much for having those ready. Our son loved all the rooms and balconies, but discovered a minor issue with them. Previous renters streaming apps were still logged in. I would advise, or ask rather, that you guys look into logging out of all these during the cleaning time. I logged out of most of them, but forgot to do so on every TV. This was an amazing adventure, a lovely home, and a well deserved vacation. I hoped so much to give my lady the vacation I thought she deserved. After 4 years of searching for that perfect vacation, Vacasa definitely delivered. Thank you so much, 5 stars.

Home away from home

The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had a great layout which made it feel like a home away from home. The couches and beds were all comfortable. The little extra touches like motion-sensing nightlights in the hallways/stairs were a big help for nighttime wakings with a baby. We also appreciated that the house had 2 baby gates, a high chair, and a tub. There was also a mini crib in the home. It was great to have a full size refrigerator and a bathroom on the lowest level just off the pool area. The decks were nicely furnished and although the pool might be on the smaller side, it was plenty of room for our family of 3 and it stayed warm with the pool heater. The hot tub was clean and relaxing too. The neighborhood is quiet with a nice playground and a dock that overlooks the bay. The neighborhood is straight across Hwy 12 from the closest public beach access, or about 10 minutes drive to the 4x4 beach access. We had a great week in this lovely home!

Cozy, warm, fun and beautiful stay

Our stay at this stunning property was nothing but perfection. From the ease of booking and checking in/ checking out, everything was seamless. The home is also lovely, super clean and spacious, the beach/rustic interior is so well designed which made it feel warm/ cozy, it also has the ability to fit multiples families and entertain on the multiple decks, on the pool/ hot tub ground level with the grill, an open concept kitchen/dining/ living area, all nicely located on a culdesac. The location on the island is also great, right between the beach or bay, what more could you ask for? It is also very close to the Food Lion, shops, restaurants, historic village and lighthouse. I personally do not have children but the security on the ground level is perfect for small children, as an alarm goes off when you open the door. They really have everything you could need in the kitchen, which is a plus, making it very easy to have certain meals at home. For example, they have 2 types of coffee machine and 2 griddles, which we used to make breakfast, seriously anything you can think of is there. They even have a washer and dryer right on the main bedroom level. Overall, we had an amazing time staying at this property, it was made so easy to stay here and want to come back, we are going to make this a yearly trip!

Perfect Vacation Home

My family and I spent a week in early September at this beautiful property. When we arrived, the home was clean and ready for us to enjoy with an easy check-in process. The house was spacious and came well equipped with everything we needed including a full kitchen, 6 beach chairs, & fresh linens. It is located only a short walk to the pier and sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, which was great for our 1 year old to play. The backyard was a perfect oasis to spend the afternoon after enjoying the beach with an outdoor shower, pool & hottub. We look forward to coming back again!

Incredible Experience in the Outer Banks

My family and I were very fortunate to spend a week in this beautiful home in the outer banks. From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home as the owners have done a really terrific job with the layout of the home as well as overall decor. The home was immaculate in terms of upkeep and cleanliness as well. All aspects of the home were of highest quality, from the beautiful open kitchen to the relaxing pool/hot tub area in the backyard of the home. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the home. Another great feature of this home is it's proximity to the beach and surrounding town where there are so many great things to do - from mini golf to great restaurants. All is just a short drive away which made our experience even better. A big thanks to the owners for providing such a great experience. Their commitment to excellence in terms of delivering a superior rental experience is easily seen when spending time in their home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fantastic experience in the Outer Banks! We can't wait to come back.

Beautiful and clean home

Great property, comfortable, clean, and spacious. The pool is perfect, as is the hot tub. Great neighborhood feeling. Traveling with a 23 month old they had a baby gate at the ready to use, which was incredibly helpful. There was also a mini crib, for those that wonder, save yourself from traveling with one. Would definitely stay at this home again. FYI also, check in isn't 4, it's 5, which was a surprise and inconvenient but it worked out fine. Overall fantastic experience and highly recommend

Gorgeous!

We spent 2 weeks in July at this beautiful home. It was spacious and clean and had a lot of amenities (even extras we didn't know we needed). We loved the pool and with little kids the pool door alarm was an added bonus. I definitely recommend this house!

Not what we expected

House was dirty when we arrived. We had to call the cleaners to come back the next day. Pool was smaller then appeared in the pictures. No outdoor space to hangout by the pool. Lots of stairs between the 3 levels. Neighborhood was quiet, playground was nice, pier was pretty but far from the beach (needed to drive every day) also lots of spiders on the outside decks. Corolla was nice though

THIS IS NOT A DIG ON VRBO

I have rented many homes through VRBO and have had very positive experiences every time. Booking processes have been flawless, previous houses have exceeded my expectations. The problem with this rental began very soon after I booked originally through VRBO. I was seemingly passed off to ‘Vacasa’, another rental agency that apparently represented the owner of this house. I thought that it was rather odd at first that I was asked to switch to their App. The house itself was very nice and well decorated. We had to wait 30 additional minutes to check in because the home inspectors had not completed their inspection. (having been on the road for six hours this was to say the least an inconvenience). From the moment I was passed off to Vacasa, this rental experience became a nightmare. Apparently Vacasa represents the homeowner. The main point of contact, Barbara, had been very condescending in previous emails to me. There’s just not enough space to write all of the things that were wrong with this rental!! We discovered that there was no bedding so we had to bring our own comforters, The sheets were absolute garbage on the beds(Felt like laying on cheap paper towels) The bath towels were of worse quality than any cheap motel you could ever stay in. There were six lightbulbs missing from light fixtures. When I called and described that these were Edison bulbs(decorative and expensive) they sent a maintenance person to replace them. He showed up without saying a word replaced them with LED bulbs slammed the front door shut as he left saying have a good day. WOW!! I just spent 7k for a week to be treated like this??!! The pool heat (totally not needed as it was slightly larger than the hot tub was $60 per day…I was charged 60 per week in Florida at a home twice as large!!) The problem here is with VACASA. Sadly for the homeowners( their house is very nice) they have a property management company that is deplorable!!!!! I would encourage anyone to avoid this company (Vacasa) at all cost. If you book through VRBO and are redirected to Vacasa- run the other way!!!

Relaxing & beautiful getaway

This house is so beautifully decorated and smartly laid out that it really enhanced our relaxing week. There aren’t a ton of extras from the owners and past guests stuffed away in the drawers and closets so we actually had room for our stuff. They have all the essentials you could need with none of the junk you don’t. There was a small issue with ants in the kitchen that was easily corrected, but this is expected this time of year and in a wooded lot. In the 30 years we’ve been staying in the Outer Banks, this was the newest and nicest house! Would definitely stay here again!

Just like the pictures!

AH-MA-ZING! My family and I didn’t want to leave! We are a family who loves to cook, bake, and grill... it has EVERYTHING you need with the exception of a Kitchen-Aid mixer. The area is a little pricey... which is to be expected. The Mexican restaurant in the Food Lion shopping plaza is REALY good.. but just as pricey. Watch out for the guy giving shots and pouring margaritas..lol. The butcher shop in the same plaza is great! Bone-in Ribeye were a great cut! We wish we had more time... WE definitely WILL be back! Oh, the only suggestion I have and I also told this to the property manager... they may want to put the instructions on HOW to unlock the door.. it’s more than just putting in the code. Other than that check-in and check-out was painless and SUPER easy!
