The property description was accurate and looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean & had all the amenities we needed. The property was well kept & the pool was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay, this house was a little piece of paradise, very private with an amazing view of the whales tail. Sophia was great at communicating the entire time with us. I would highly recommend this property to anyone & hope to revisit someday.

What an amazing place, perfect for a romantic getaway! Very remote and private. Saw lots of wildlife right on the oroperty! Great unobstructed view of the jungle and ocean below, especially from the infinity pool! And Sofia and Trina were the perfect hosts! Always available, always helpful. We absolutely loved our time here!

We could not have had a better experience. We were much later arriving than anticipated. Sophia was incredibly accommodating and met us in Uvita to guide us up the hill to the property. The property and view are stunning and incredibly private. The grounds are beautifully maintained. We saw toucans and many other beautiful birds from the pool and balcony. Sunsets were gorgeous as well. Sophia and Trina were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed and more. We stayed for a week and were not ready to leave when it ended. Please take the advice of needing a 4x4 seriously.

The property was as promised. The property manager was flexible and responsive. Uvita is beautiful and Dominical which is not far away is a perfect spot to find an organic supermarket and other goodies. I would highly recommend staying here

An incredible property and value. Very clean, highly communicative host, and breathtaking views. As others have said, the road up is serious, but the Jimny handled it just fine. We look forward to returning!

Costa Rica Vacation

The property is simply fabulous. The furnishings are modern and everything was spotlessly clean. There were local guidebooks available that were very helpful. The infinity pool was perfect for relaxing.

Rooms with view

One of the best views of whale tail beach in Uvita. Toucans were plentiful along with many other birds. Our mornings drinking coffee viewing wildlife were amazing and memorable.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and Peggy’s home truly became our home away from home. We absolutely loved our stay.Uvita is a wonderful little town with a great grocery store and some seriously delicious food. We highly recommend Seba, Restaurante Los Barriles, and Los Laureles. The drive from town up the mountain takes about 20 minutes, and you definitely need a 4x4, but don’t let that scare you. The road is well maintained and the drive was part of the adventure.The house itself was perfect for us. We loved the layout and cooked quite a bit using fresh local fruit, vegetables, and meat. The kitchen had everything we needed to make full meals.But that VIEW. Pictures simply cannot do it justice. It seemed to change every day. Bright sunshine, fog rolling through the mountains, watching a storm come in, or seeing the clouds lift to reveal the Whale’s Tail below. Sitting by that beautiful pool every morning and taking it all in felt like a dream.The landscaping and wildlife made it even better. My bird app identified more than 30 species during our stay, including toucans. We even watched a coati climb a tree right outside our bedroom window to eat fruit!Communication was excellent. It took me a little while to get WhatsApp figured out, but everyone was patient and helpful.This place gave us exactly the Costa Rican adventure we were hoping for while still feeling completely at home. The property is beautiful and incredibly well cared for.If I could change

Casa Bambu - Home Away from Home

Casa Bambu was a great home base for our stay in Uvita. The property had amazing views and was secluded yet close enough for us to get to all the activities we had planned. Trina and Jorge were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend Casa Bambu for your stay in Uvita!

Private paradise!

Very private setting with awesome view. My wife & I stayed on the property for almost our entire visit to Costa Rica with the exception of making a couple of trips down the mountain to get groceries. It made for a great vacation to reconnect, relax, & lounge in the pool.

Perfect Uvita Stay

This was the perfect place to spend a few days in Uvita! Located right in the town, it is close to everything but secluded in the hills with amazing views. The house was stocked with all of the essentials, and was a comfortable stay. Communicated with the hosts was great throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this home for anyone traveling to the area!

Great Place to get away

The house was beautiful and so was the view. We didn’t want to make unnecessary trips up and down the hill, so we had to plan ahead for the day.

Casa Bambu is in a beautiful location, private, high in the mountains with stunning ocean and whale tail views. The support staff were friendly, communicated well and helpful with check in and check out. The property is clean, well maintained and perfect for a romantic getaway, until you want to go out. The drive up and down the mountain is the only negative. A capable 4x4 is a must as well as 4x4 driving skills. If you want to be way of the beaten path and be able to look down at soaring condors, watch macaws fly by your pool and many other types of birds, listen to the sounds of the ocean surf and watch the beautiful sunset and sunrise sky from your bed or pool, Casa Bambu cannot be beat.

Relaxing in the mountains

This house is a perfect getaway for two- it's romantic, has amazing views, and Jacqui (and Trina, who manages it when Jacqui is away) were wonderful to work with. We had a wonderful time! Just be ready for 4x4 driving - our rental car lady in San Jose said we wouldn't really need 4x4, and she was way wrong!

Highly, highly recommend to stay at this house! The location was superb - private, at a top of the hill with the best view for sunrises and sunsets. You are in the middle of the jungle and can hear howler monkeys, see toucans and macaws right from the property! Unforgettable Experience

Amazing view of the jungle and whale’s tail from the balcony. Very secluded and clean property. The bird watching from the property was also top tier (bring binoculars, you won’t regret it). AC in the bedroom worked very well for a comfortable sleep. You will NEED a 4X4 if driving yourself up the mountain to the property!

Jungle sound machine

We love Casa Bamboo. This was our 3rd time staying in this lovely home and it NEVER disappoints! This year we had incredible wildlife visitors daily. The weather was perfect. Sleeping and waking with the sun to the jungle sounds is healing for the nervous system. Highly recommend!
