Great Family Stay

The layout of this home is great for families! We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, the game room, lounging in the living room and the comfortable bedrooms. The backyard landscaping is beautiful and creates a calm and private atmosphere. The pool water was clean and crisp and very inviting. We didn’t want to go home! We can’t wait for our next visit!

Hello! We're Tim and Krystal, the sibling duo behind Spirit Lake Retreat. Both of us were not just raised in Bakersfield; we actually grew up right down the street and in this very home. That's right, long before it became the retreat you're about to experience, it was the backdrop for our childhood memories.

Don't be surprised if you stumble upon old storybooks we used to dive into as kids. They're a little piece of our history we thought we'd share with you. And while we're on the subject of sharing, we have to confess: We're die-hard Steelers fans. If you sense an unusual amount of black and gold around the house or feel an inexplicable urge to shout "Go Steelers!"... well, now you know why.

Here's to a stay that's as memorable as a Steelers touchdown (or so we hope!). Welcome to our childhood home and Bakersfield legacy.
