Welcome to Fork Tail Lodge — where the Caribbean is quite literally outside your door.
Located on a small key at Calabash Bight Point on Roatán’s peaceful East End, Fork Tail Lodge is a unique 3-bedroom, water-access-only retreat designed for guests who want to experience island life from the water.
Wake up to brilliant shades of blue, step outside for a morning swim, launch a kayak from the property, snorkel in the clear Caribbean water, cast a line from the dock, or settle into the over-the-water palapa and watch the world drift by.
The Home
Inside, Fork Tail Lodge combines comfortable modern amenities with relaxed island living. The open-concept living area features high ceilings, comfortable seating, air conditioning and large windows and doors that bring in plenty of natural light.
The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and plenty of space for preparing meals, with an island for casual dining. Prefer to eat outside? Take dinner onto the deck and enjoy the sea breeze and beautiful water views.
The home offers three bedrooms:
Lower-level bedroom: King bed that can be configured as two twins, ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Two upper-level bedrooms: Each features a king bed and access to the upper deck, with beautiful views across the surrounding water.
Life on the Water
This is where Fork Tail Lodge really shines.
Multiple decks give you plenty of places to relax overlooking the sea, while the over-the-water palapa provides a shaded gathering spot for drinks, meals and lazy afternoons.
Steps lead directly into the water for swimming and snorkeling, and kayaks are available for exploring the surrounding shoreline and bight.
For anglers, the location is particularly special. Bonefish, permit, reef fishing and deep-sea fishing adventures can begin right from your own dock.
Your Local Hosts
The owners live in a separate home next door. They respect guests' privacy, but they're nearby when assistance is needed—and their local knowledge and hospitality are a special part of staying here.
They can arrange fishing, snorkeling, sightseeing and other private boat excursions directly from the property. Guests booking multiple excursions may also be eligible for discounted rates.
Rather than driving somewhere to meet your guide, your island adventure can begin right outside your door.
Getting Here
Fork Tail Lodge is accessible only by boat, so please keep this in mind when deciding whether this experience is right for you.
Parking for a rental vehicle is included on the main island, along with boat transportation to Fork Tail Lodge upon arrival and back to the parking area at departure.
The owners may also be able to assist with additional trips to and from the parking area during your stay when they are available. Additional transportation should be coordinated in advance whenever possible.
Electricity
Electricity is charged separately and is not included in the nightly rate. Typical usage is approximately $15 per day, although actual cost may vary depending on usage, particularly air conditioning.
A Different Kind of Roatán Vacation
Fork Tail Lodge isn't simply a place to sleep between excursions. The property itself is the experience.
Swim before breakfast. Fish from the dock. Paddle across clear Caribbean water. Spend an afternoon snorkeling. Take a boat out with your hosts. Have dinner overlooking the sea and finish the evening listening to the water beneath the palapa.
For travelers who want to get away from busy tourist areas and experience the quieter, water-centered lifestyle of Roatán's East End, Fork Tail Lodge offers something genuinely different.
Island Living: Roatán is a tropical island, and occasional power or internet interruptions can occur. You may also encounter tropical insects, geckos and other island wildlife during your stay. The property is regularly maintained and treated, but these are a natural part of life in the tropics.
Starter Supplies: The home is stocked with a starter supply of basic household essentials to help you get settled upon arrival. Guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.
This property is proudly offered for vacation rental by East End Roatan Property Solutions, providing personalized, hands-on guest service throughout your stay.
