Vacation with Grand Daughter

The property listed is not the location we stayed at. We had to move to another location due to we were not staying for 7 days/nights.

The overall condo was great. The condo was located across the street from the beach, but an under street tunnel allowed for safe passage. The pool was a 3-5 foot pool so is great for kids, and the pool was always clean. The condo itself could use a bit of upgrading. We reported a broken living room chair and, rather than repair it; it was removed. The king bed was very soft and uncomfortable, but we found a 3 inch piece of cheap memory foam under the sheets. Simply removing it made the bed much more comfortable. Probably needs a new mattress. The vinyl flooring in the bedrooms is worn and needs replacing. The master bath could also use upgrading. We own three condos in Destin so we might be a bit more picky than others.

Thank you for the 5-star review! Glad Destiny Beach Villas #11B- Beach Oasis had a great location with the under-street tunnel and that the pool was clean and kid-friendly. We appreciate the detailed feedback about the condo — the broken living room chair was removed after your report, and we’ll share your notes about the mattress, vinyl flooring, and master bath with our property team for assessment and improvements. As owners yourself, your input is especially helpful. Appreciate the feedback and hope to welcome you back. RealJoy Destin

We had a wonderful stay and the location was ideal for us. It was overlooking a beautiful lake right off our back deck and was a very short distance from the beach. The walk to the beach was so easy as the tunnel under the main road was located so close to our beach house. The house itself was perfect for us. The only issue we encountered was the bed in the second bedroom was sandy. There were fresh sheets available and we put those on, so it wasn't a big deal. RealJoy text us on the first full day there to make sure everything was in order and when I related that the sheets in one bedroom had not been changed, they promptly offer to send over housekeeping to clean and freshen the room. We did not have them do that as everything else was cleaned very well. RealJoy was available by phone or text and willing to help at all hours so I commend them on that point! We are thinking of staying at the same place next year because it was perfect!!
