Isla verde WOW

Location and property are great a very safe and secure building the room has a awesome view and everything you need for your vacation steps away from the beach and huge pool as well as your own private parking spot Very clean just an older unit that could use some updating and modernizing but still a great rental unitThank you for making our stay welcoming and comfortable

Beach get away!

The condo had the best views of the ocean! Absolutely beautiful. The location was central to everything we wanted to do. Very clean, comfortable bad. Hearing and seeing the ocean from bed made it extra special.

You won't regret

Perfect 9 day getaway.. unit was well supplied and in a good area to get around .. Beach was gorgeous and Balcony view is amazing and an easy Uber ride anywhere .. we rented from Charlie's Rent a car across the street and also a Walgreens across the way...

This is my second timing booking with this host. Very polite and communication was easy. Smooth check-in and check-out process. The place was very clean and offered a lot of accommodations. Will book a third stay soon!

perfect getaway

This property was perfect for us. The pool and beach are gorgeous, the view from the balcony can't be beat. It's very close to the places we wanted to visit (Old San Juan, Piñones, El Yunque) and it was so convenient to be in walking distance of pharmacies, restaurants, etc.

Wonderful location and view perfect for a couple close to everything you need all walkable. Time for some updating to make this location perfect otherwise we would definitely stay here again

Being on the 14th floor was fun -- great to watch the parade of life on the beach and at the pool as well as the changing skycape from the balcony such a height.

Lovely accommodation

The condo was excellent except for the bed which was raised up two steps on a platform with no handrails. Never saw anything like it. The lock box was difficult to operate.

Good view, unit as described, with the following challenges: bathroom sink did not drain well (this was also noted in a review from 2023), sliding door to patio was hard to close (also noted previously). I lost fob to one set of keys while running (it was very worn down so that I could not see numbers for management), label to keys also ready to fall off of ring. That was very frustrating, especially since I was told I owe additional money to replace. Fobs/Key rings should be inspected regularly and replaced prior to failure. Unit was in a nice location, and we felt secure there. Check-in was very difficult. We suggest sending directions on how to get in initially PRIOR to arrival, as fob entry is necessary to get into parking area. This would have saved us about an hour. We appreciated the start-up foods/drinks/TP and dishwashing liquid. Overall, nice place!

We loved having a condo on the beach for our stay in PR. Home away from home. We were welcomed with a few staple food items that were so appreciated due to the fact that we landed at 9pm. We were able to forgo a grocery run until the next day based on the items they had waiting for us. Everything is as pictured and clean. We enjoyed our stay. A little noisy when windy (often) as the wind seems to howl through the patio door and right through the hallway door as well. They had beach supplies and bathroom supplies all stocked and ready for use. Thank you!

Stay Away!!!

Location is great, the view is amazing but underneath lies TROUBLE!!! My fiancé and I both were bitten by begs bugs DAY 1!! We assumed it was misquotes bites boy were we wrong!! Day 2 was even worse they ate get back up all was down to her buttocks and legs… That ruined the entire trip, spending an entire day at doctor, then being too paranoid to sleep on any furniture so we bunked up with a cousin the remainder of our trip.. Wasted time and money and no one from upper management has issued an apology, reimbursement, or anything of the sort! They stopped communicating with me as soon as I reached out about my problems.. Please be aware!!! My advice don’t stay here!!!

Beautiful view from the balcony

Overall it was a nice space but needed updating. Kitchen was well equipped. Lighting during the day was great but at night it was very dim and difficult to see. The bed is at the top of two 10" steps. I would caution anyone w/ knee, hip or balance issues to NOT stay here. We used towels and pillows to help us see the steps when getting off the bed. The beach chairs were very much appreciated. Also, do NOT rent from Charlie's Car rental, whom the Marco Polo corp recommends. Although they were very efficient they crudely paint over previous damage. So make sure to take pics when you rent and then when you turn your car into the rental. Charlie's will ask where you are staying...DO NOT TELL THEM! Better to pay the extra $$ and rent from a reputable car rental. We used our plastic/rubber cups as we were unable to find a vacuum or dust pan. Had we broken anything we would have been unable to clean up the glass.

Direct Beach Access and Amazing Ocean views

The photos of the apartment are exactly as the apartment appears with the exception of how beautiful the view is from sitting in the bed. When you walk into the bedroom there is a space to access the closets (lots of storage room and drawers), then the floor of the bedroom has two steps up onto a platform where the bed is. The windows of the bedroom are extremely high, which is why it is magical to be able to sit in bed and look out to the beach and ocean. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to see out of the windows. The only problem for us was getting up in the night to go to the bathroom could be precarious because of the steps (which aren't marked). We didn't have any problems, but we had to remind ourselves every night before going to bed! The apartment has a great modern mid-century vibe to the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cabinetry, which we loved. We ate every meal on the balcony and enjoyed the view of the beach and ocean activity. The neighborhood has a lot of walk-able areas with some great restaurants, Walgreens and grocery store nearby. The beach in front of the condos is the best in the area. The beach and umbrella rental is very reasonable (4$ for a lounge chair and 10$ for an umbrella). There was very little seaweed in the beach area near the condos and no jellyfish! We hope to come back! Rent this one!!!

Great location with potential, but several issues

Overall, this is a very nice condo but there were several major issues that prevent me from giving it a great review. PROS - Location, clean, view, communication with rental manager were all great. CON - A/C unit was (still) extremely loud, like sleep prohibiting loud. This definitely needs to be addressed. B/C unit is on the 14th floor it's CRITICAL that the A/C run at night. Even if ceiling fans, or at the very least box or unit fans were provided, this would've helped circulate the air. STOVE - had a HUGE crack on the surface top. I was so scared when we checked in thinking the mgt might think we did it, b/c certainly they wouldn't rent it out this way. But they did know about it but have been waiting on a repair. Okay, but tell us thought so I don't get a fright seeing this upon arrival. POOL - it is closed every Monday for "cleaning." A whole day, yes. Also, you can only use the pool for 1 hour/day and it needs to be reserved and obtain the key from front desk security. This is of course very cumbersome and not even worth the trouble. I paid extra for a pool but never used it b/c of these strict limitations. Not blaming the rental company but they need to communicate this very important factor to potential renters. There were some other maintenance issues that should be addressed like rusty dish rack, super worn countertops, A/C creates a huge puddle of water.. again, all these things add up. I do appreciate that when I addressed this to management after we departed they were fair with recompense and seemed to want to correct it. I am not a picky person but we also have a rental property in Va Beach and I think these issues were important to let renters know about. Overall, it is a nice condo with lots of great amenities but until those issues (some of which I know are out of their control) are corrected, I would not rent here again. There are many other properties in Isla Verde area to consider.
