New to Best Beach Getaways!

This is a beautiful one bedroom condo plus bunk area located on Bayside of Destin West! The unit is just a short distance to the beach using the pedestrian bridge! You will love the location of this unit! Freshly painted, with beautiful decor – you will feel right at home in Pelican 306. With a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and a lazy river pool – this unit is the perfect place for your beach getaway!

This condo has everything you will need for your stay and sleeps 6! When entering the unit you will find the master bedroom is located to the right with a TV, and connecting master bathroom. This bathroom has a shower/tub combo with a toilet and sink. From the master, entering the hallway there is a set of twin bunks and a hallway full bathroom, with a toilet and stand-up shower with a sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a meal! In the main living area you will see there is enough seating for the family!

Destin West has many great features:
On bayside, you will find the 700 foot long, 10 foot wide, and 4 foot deep lazy river with a man made current passes by right in front of your lanai level condo. Tubes are provided by the resort. You can watch the kiddos enjoying themselves as they pass. This Bayside Resort also has a Waterfall pool (heated seasonally), Zero entry pool, and 2 large community hot tubs to have more fun.
The beach side of the resort has one of the largest pools on the island and also a partially shaded pool that you can use (also heated seasonally). The beach and emerald waters are also one of the many things to do at the Destin West Resort.. The sky bridge connecting the bayside and gulf side areas of the resort is a great for easy transitions from lazy river area to beach fun.

Perfect for our family!

The condo was perfect for our family of 5! It was clean and cool for the hot days at the ball field. Kids loved the pool and lazy river. We also enjoyed access to the bay where the kids could see fish, crabs, and sea shells.

Clean and comfortable

My family and I had a 5 day stay and were very pleased. The property was easy to access, pools/resort area was excellent, and the walk to the beach was easy. The bunk area needed some extra cleaning but other than that we were very comfortable. The space was a good size for our family of 4. We would feel confident booking at Pelican again in the future.

Enjoyable Condo

We just completed a 6 day/5 night stay at Pelican 306. The amenities specifically lazy river were a blast for our entire family! The walk over to the beach was quick and easy! The condo was comfortable and clean, providing a nice relaxing space for us between activities.

It’s ok

Dirty floors, sand in master bed, ac went out last 3 days. But luckily it wasn’t overly hot. Nice area. Easy walk to beach. Lazy river is an ice bath.

However, we would have been happy to send someone out about the AC immediately, if we had known about this happening during your stay as well as any issues with cleaning. We do send all of our guests a few options to contact us with any issues during their stay so that we are able to correct them. We hope that you will choose to come back and stay though.

Condo needs updating as far as bedding goes

The condo was as advertised except for exceptionally hard bedding especially the pull out sofa we had to buy a 3 inch memory foam on a late night Walmart trip to even be able to use the sofa bed I would say if you didn’t plan on using it all would be fine master bedroom also was without a lock which is slightly inconvenient

Ok for what we needed

We were in town for a VB tournament so the room was ok for the situation. We don't spend much time in the room at all. However, if we did, this room was very humid and hot. Upon arrival it was so humid that the floors and counters were wet. We did eventually find the dehumidifier that is hardwired into the wall so its clearly a common problem in this room. The freezer door does not latch closed which was an issue for the food we had. The bathtubs would not drain so my husband had to clean the hair in the drains out of both of the tubs. They also were not the cleanest tubs. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to lay your head at night, this room is perfect. If you are looking for a nice room to vacation in, this room is not ideal.
