Everything was pretty great! Only thing we didn’t know at first was that the water heater is on solar so if you have many people stay and shower at night you will run out of hot water and have none til everything gets heated in the morning.

Great property! 4 bedrooms worked great for our party of 8. Location is a long ways from everything on Island but it is beautiful and a really nice house with everything you need.

This house was perfect for our family of 7. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the back patio. The pool and gym were just a short walk away. We enjoyed being tucked into the mountains. We made meals with food from the local grocery store. Plenty of towels, snorkeling gear, and beach stuff. Each day we tossed much of it in the car so that we could be prepared for whatever adventure the day had in store. One day we pulled over to snorkel in a little lagoon by the blowhole on the other side of the island. We drove all over Oahu. Check out Ted's Bakery on the north side and go through the tunnel in the middle of the island to check out the green beauty of Kaneohe.

Sounds like your family made the absolute most of Oahu. Glad the home gave everyone room to spread out and that those sunsets from the back patio delivered, with the pool and gym close by when you wanted them. Great to hear the beach and snorkeling gear got put to good use on your drives around the island. That lagoon by the blowhole is a find, and Ted's Bakery is always worth the stop. It was a beautiful location and facility!! We had a gorgeous view from the deck, both the ocean and the mountains! The rental included snorkeling gear, paddle boards and beach towels! Would highly recommend the place to anyone!

Great stay

House was very clean and was exactly as listed. We had a great time staying and would definitely stay here again. This was my 27th trip to Oahu and my first time staying in Makaha, I definitely like the pace of the west side, much more relaxed.

Three generations of our family truly enjoyed our stay here to celebrate Grandma’s 87th birthday. The layout of the house was absolutely perfect for five people. We had breakfast on the patio every morning, with the ocean off in the distance and numerous birds (and “Jurassic” snails) to keep us entertained. Along with its fabulous configuration, the house was immaculately clean, there were plenty of towels, and the beach towels were also plentiful (and easily washed every day after snorkeling). A huge plus for me was that it has an electric tea kettle. But bring your own snorkel and mask and fins if you’re a serious snorkeler. The west side of Oahu is not touristy; and the two lane road with numerous speed bumps makes getting to and from the house a tad tedious at night, but during the day offers wonderful ocean views. Snorkeling at Electric Beach is about a 20-25 minute drive from the house and has good snorkeling and a lifeguard. And a little further south is the Aulani Disney resort where you can rent loungers and an umbrella and have beach waitstaff bring drinks and food to your lounger. The snorkeling there is just okay (not tons to see) but a very safe bay; and you can’t beat having someone bring you a lava flow and fruit plate while basking on a gorgeous beach! In sum, this is a perfect house for a family vacation; I highly recommend it. It is nice being away from the touristy spots—and still get an açaí bowl five minutes from the house!

Beautiful Home and Setting

We had a wonderful time and this home was everything we could’ve ask for and more. Very up to date and we felt safe with it being in a gated quiet community. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great location away from Honolulu. Travel to Honolulu is at least an hour when traffic is good.

Great vacation getaway location

The area was safe and secure in a gated community. The hope was clean and easy to access. All the photos of the property were accurate. Very convenient for Ko Olina.

Great stay

We had a family group of 9 staying and it was very comfortable. The back patio was so nice to enjoy every morning and evening with a view of the ocean and mountains. Good selection of spices in the kitchen. The neighborhood is beautiful and a nice place to take a walk.

Great place! Gated community! Everything was as it should be! Place was clean and ready! We had a family group of 9 and it was perfect! We enjoyed the view from the back patio! Palm trees and a little view of the ocean sitting on a hill! Thank you for a perfect stay!

Great stay. Fun area.

We had a great time at the house. There are lots of good restaurants and a grocery store nearby... for some reason I hadn't expected that! There is limited cookware, but were so surprised that when we contacted Avantsay, someone showed up with the cookie sheet we needed the next day! They were very responsive whenever we contacted them. Also happy to have towels and chairs for the beach. Great ocean views too!

Beautiful Rental Surrounded by Tropical Mountains

Overall the rental was a hit! Very spacious with games in the garage for the kids. Only issue was the guard at the front gate could be a little over the top with allowing entrance. Avant stay was very helpful, although they could have left us more cleaning supplies for 9 nights. But overall an awesome experience!

We loved the size for our ten guests. The view was beautiful and so relaxing. The amenities were great. There was a rice cooker, and coffee maker that also did kuerig. There were beach towels and snorkel gear even a life jacket! Pool table and other game table in garage. Laundry detergent so that we could wash clothes and towels! What a great place for your family to visit!
