Our beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The view was amazing. We were close to town and beach access. I recommend staying at Rio Mar, I think you’ll really like it.

Great Place to Stay in Yachats

The location, bedrooms and game room where all enjoyed on our stay in Yachats. Kitchen was well stocked but if your making a pie bring your own pie dish.

Beautiful Yachats

The view from the living room and dining room is awesome! The bedroom situation was great! There were plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. The mattresses were very comfortable. Great location for visiting beaches, both sandy and rocky, and for access to hiking trails, great house! Yachats is an amazing town - definitely, the gem of the coast.

Fantastic mini-holiday in Yachats Oregon

The view of the ocean from the living/dining room was better than the pictures, the views were simply awsome. The VRBO was clean, confortable, and quiete, and about one block from a State Park on the ocean and about one block from a number of excellent restaurants and bistros. The VRBO and Yachats greatly exceeded our expectations.

Incredible location and property

We stayed for 3 nights in the end of August. Weather was perfect. Location is walking distance to nearly everything. Really, a gem. And the view from those big windows...endless views!!

Exceptional property

The view of Yachats Bay and the Pacific Ocean is unbeatable. The property is fully equipped and was immaculate. Easy walking distance to grocery, bakery, shops and fine restaurants.

We had a great time at our annual family celebration of Mom's birthday -- this year is 103! So we were really happy to find such a clean, comfortable place with an ocean view that she was able to navigate with a walker. The kitchen, two queen bedrooms, bath, and living/dining area were easy. Beds were all comfy, appliances new, plenty of white fluffy towels, etc. First rate. Very nice place and fabulous location. The steps from the garage into the house are steep, so handicap entry is across the lawn and to the front door via a ramp.We only had a couple of issues. The first was that the view on our week didn't look like the photo because the hedge has been allowed to grow up about 3 feet higher than the bottom window sill, so you can't see anything but the sky and hilltop when sitting down in the living room. The other is the parking. The narrative highlights "the street-to-street property provides parking." Not so. There is plenty of space beside the street to park, but you aren't supposed to. The listing is clear that the property is licensed for 4 vehicles, but what it doesn't say is that two must be parked in the garage (standard size) and two on the driveway directly in front. No parking along either of the streets. (The neighbor will call.) There were some structural issues the last day that kept us from using the deck, but I'm sure the host will have those repaired before it is rented again. A lovely weekend in a lively spot with a great if somewhat abridged view.

A Solstice Elopement

We had an incredible stay with our parents. There’s ample room to have your own space, but the coziest of spaces to enjoy a feast together with the most amazing views. This could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate our union. Thank you for being a part of memories forever!

Fun times

Usually like to stay where we are right on the beach but this house proved to be a great location. Nice shell hunting at the rocks at end of street, nice view, easy trip to beach on other side of bay, and town is walkable. Well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. I do expect it’s busier on weekends and mid summer.

Family christmas

We enjoyed our stay. The view of the estuary was wonderful and the location to town was great. Only downside was that the living room was not set up to seat 10 people; it really only seats 5 or 6. The dining table only has seating for 8 and we had 10 in our party.

Birthday Trip

We gathered at Rio Mar for a family birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is delightful with a lovely view of the river’s mouth, the weather was unseasonably warm and sunny, we saw whales and bald eagles. The downtown area is a few minutes walk from Rio Mar and the coast walking path is easily accessible. We plan to return!

2nd Visit, just as GREAT!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It was such an incredible location and visit the first time, that we wanted to bring our family back. You can't beat the location. I think we parked our cars and walked everything for 4 days. It's a cozy little unit with just the essentials and a beautiful wall of windows to watch the tides, the beachgoers, the surfers and the whales. We'll be back!! It's the red house in the picture....

Amazing beach views!

This was an excellent place to stay! Cannot get much closer to the water with amazing views. Having said that, one downside (unrelated to the house itself) is that we had multiple campers and trailers park across the street on the side of the road essentially blocking the amazing view of the beach which was unfortunate. Otherwise, the place had multiple rooms and great common space nearby some delicious restaurants. There was also numerous trails and outdoor activities very close by!

Great views

Wonderful views of the bay and ocean. House was nice great location and a lot of room. Cleanliness was a little disappointing. Cob webs, hairs in shower and oven has not been cleaned for a long time.The amount charged for cleaning we had higher expectations.

Family Fun!

This lovely vacation home met all of our needs so wonderfully. One of our best moments was running to the beach to see the wonderful sunset and taking great pictures with wonderful splashing waves on the Yachats coast. There are rooms for all of my brothers and sisters. The kitchen was well-set-up for our needs for a home cooked meal. The room was perfect for sunrise with coffee, or watching a rainstorm cross the river. The location was excellent! Close to everything we need at groceries. A short walk to fabulous meals at the many great restaurants, 1 minute walk to beaches, and a 2 minute walk to the grocery....not driving was lovely! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Nice view Comfy home

The3 house was very roomy, nice3 views. Every room had a heater this was nice since it was 35 degrees most of the weekend. The yard was fenced for allowing the dogs out with out worrying about running. The beds were comfortable. There weas a garage and a game room with a huge TV and room for activity. attached to a den room with a king bed. This was very handy and where we slept with our 2 Labradors. easy access in the middle of the night for outdoor breaks. There are a few steps to get in through the garage so slow going with my 87 year old mother but doable. The kitchen was stocked well a little tight with big family but we just kept it simple with 1 cooking and 2 on clean up. You can walk to town in 2 minutes and be at the store and restaurants. Great place will go again.
