Welcome to Black Mountain Lodge, a five-unit property where each apartment has its own private entrance. Apartment 3 is a cheerful, 388-square-foot space at the front of the house, with beautiful mountain views and plenty of natural light.

To reach the apartment, climb a few steps to the front porch, enter the building, and take the interior stairway upstairs.

The entry opens into a small but well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, including a drip coffee maker.

The adjoining bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed, two swing-style chairs, and a smart TV where you can sign in to your favorite streaming subscriptions. Lots of windows give the space a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

The queen-size bed accommodates up to two guests. For fire-zoning and safety reasons, sleeping is permitted only on the bed; cots and air mattresses are not allowed on the floor.

This home is more than 100 years old and sits among large, mature trees. Because of this natural setting, insects may occasionally find their way indoors.

One pet is welcome. If you bring one, please be considerate of the other guests in the building. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and be crated if left alone. Please do not bring a dog that will bark while you are away. Thank you for helping us keep the property comfortable for everyone.

For everyone’s comfort, this is a non-smoking, non-vaping property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside or outside the property.

Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge, so your stay will require a little self-sufficiency. We’re happy to help with questions or concerns during reasonable hours, but we are not a corporation and do not have staff available 24 hours a day.

Self check-in is available anytime after 4:00 p.m. You may check out anytime before 10:00 a.m. on your departure day.

This is a very old home with gas furnaces for heat and window air-conditioning units. Because it is a shared building, you may occasionally hear neighboring guests.
