Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with its own private entrance. Unit 5 is a small, 189-square-foot efficiency apartment located on the far right side of the front porch. Please note that steps lead up to the porch.

The apartment has a double bed, kitchen, and living area combined in one cheerful room, with a small adjoining private bathroom. It includes everything you need for cooking, dining, and sleeping.

Amenities include a smart TV, where you can sign in to your streaming subscriptions, high speed internet, and a kitchen with a drip coffee maker.

The double bed accommodates up to two guests. Due to fire-zoning regulations, cots and air mattresses are not permitted on the floor.

This home is more than 100 years old and is surrounded by large, mature trees. Because of this natural setting, insects may occasionally find their way indoors.

This is a non-smoking and non-vaping property, inside and outside.

Pets are welcome. If you bring one, please be considerate of the other guests in the building. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and must be crated if left alone. Please do not bring a dog that will bark while you are away.

For everyone’s comfort, this is a non-smoking, non-vaping property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside or outside the property.

Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge, so your stay will require a little self-sufficiency. We’re happy to help with questions or concerns during reasonable hours, but we are not a corporation and do not have staff available 24 hours a day.

Self check-in is available anytime after 4:00 p.m. You may check out anytime before 10:00 a.m. on your departure day.

This is a very old home with gas furnaces for heat and window air-conditioning units. Because it is a shared building, you may occasionally hear neighboring guests.

We kindly ask all guests to be considerate of one another. If you are traveling with a pet, please do not bring a dog that will bark and disturb others in the house.
