Beautiful home! It is not lake front, but it's still a beautiful home with all the amenities you have at your own home. Beautiful view The patio wraps around the kids had a blast playing out in the back looking for toads in what I imagine used to be the lake.. plenty of parking.We had a boat, a camper, and two trucks. Full open garage with a dog kennel. I would recommend, although if you are boating, it is wise to know that all the boat ramps, except two are closed on the north side the ramps go right into the sand. Because water levels are so low. Just beware while boating, we were out in the middle of the lake and hit a piece of wood, the engine stopped. We got pushed into the sand when we turned on the fish. Finder, we had to go to the other side to get into depths, big enough for a boat. All that has nothing to do with this house. Just know if you're going to mcconaughey with a boat, it is difficult to get on on the north shore.

As alwsys house is clean, and welcoming. We love staying here.

We love staying here. So welcoming and so comfortable, always have whey we need and Rene out host is awesome. The owner is very helpful and they answer promptly. We will be back. Th3 lake is beautifull as always. Thank you so much

Beautiful view, spacious main floor

This house is great for a group looking to have a large common space. The garage can accomodate 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles plus all your lake gear. The large dining table seats 8 and the adjacent living room seats at least 6. Bathroom upstairs includes a laundry room which is a necessity if visiting the lake (towels and swimsuits). The kitchen is well stocked. The view from the deck is gorgeous (even though the lake is low and has been for years, and will continue to be low until the dam is rebuilt; the view is still stunning and worth it).

Great place!

Very clean, easy to find property. Quiet and relaxing. Wish the water came up to the property but nothing the property can do about water levels. Highly recommend this clean, relaxing property. Close to everything. We brought our beagle, Sadie who loved the yard and water. Plenty of room with all the things you need to make your stay great. Grill, blacktop, full kitchen, washer and dryer plus excellent windows to look out. We will be back!

Nice house near Lake Mac

This is a great place to stay if you want a nice open house setup for friends and family. There are two bedrooms and an open basement with two more large beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the use of the house. The Blackstone made cooking large meals super easy and all guests appreciated the AC during the hot summer. The backyard was also appreciated as we were able to play games and enjoy the yard.

Nice and comfy beds

Property has a rustic feel however beds very nice! Flys were a bit of a pest and bring your own toiletries! Kitchen cupboards stocked nicely

Convenient but inconvenient

Close to lake, but have to drive 30mins to any moderate sized town. Neighbors are friendly and helpful, plenty of room but at this time lake is too low to view.

Clean & Comfy

This was a great place to stay for 5 adults and our dog. The fenced in dog run was really convenient. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to cook dinners and relax after spending the day at Lake McConaughy (which is only about a 10 minute drive from the house). Would definitely stay here again!

Great Weekend Stay

This house is great for groups of 5-8 people. We had 6 and it worked really well. The garage is massive, we were able to back our boat and truck all the way in, keeping it hooked up. The TV, WIFI, kitchen, grills all worked great. The blackstone grill was a nice surprise. I had never used one and it was an awesome experience getting to use it for breakfast! 2 beds in the basement main room, along with a basement bedroom. One bigger bed/bedroom upstairs. My bed (basement bedroom) was fairly worn in the middle, sagged there, but was still comfortable. Id suggest upgrading when possible. This house is not going to win house of the year for VRBO. The linens are not top notch, the finish work and details in the house are lacking, or are just getting old but I was not expecting otherwise. This is Lake Mac, and the environment here is not forgiving and there are limited options. Its a great place to stay as long as you go into it expecting a little less than brand new. A couple things to note: Check the lake level. I had been to Lake Mac a month earlier and even at that time, I assumed the lake did not extend far enough west to hit this property. Sure enough, we were at 51% this weekend and the lake is a couple miles away. I knew that going in, so no big deal. Had it been up to the house, it would have been amazing to put my boat in at this house, but I would have still probably gone to Admirals Cove to launch, just due to me being sketchy about homemade ramps, and me getting my truck stuck. So, be aware of the lake, if its late July, and snowmelt was low, dont expect to see a lake out your door. Property manager was always helpful and answered our requests quickly. The directions google gives you are not accurate. Check with the manager beforehand.

Home is spacious and well stocked with pots, pans, even several dog bowls, and fans. Plenty of blankets and quilts. Big kitchen table and has two fridges and freezers. Nice big back yard with a small fenced side yard for dogs. Garage is huge, we were able to back our boat and truck in and keep it hooked up the whole time. Nice front load washer and dryer.

Sorry but we were absolutely disappointed staying here . The host was nice , but please invest in cleaning and declutter if you are charging the going rate there. Also I don’t think there has been any water on this property unless perhaps you go in winter or early spring .

The house is within 3-1/2 hours of Denver. There are activities for everyone to enjoy - from swimming, relaxing on the beach, hunting and fishing to antiquing and bird watching.
