If you’re looking for a quiet getaway from big city living, this is the place! Not only does the house have amazing Potomac River water views, the house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy a vacation. While it’s off the beaten path, it’s just a short drive to restaurants, historical sites and more. We had a great stay!

Our host was very prompt and thorough with all communications. The house was exceptionally clean with all necessary amenities. The location was very accessible despite some recent inclement weather. The best part of all was the glorious view. We enjoyed daily sightings of bald eagles! Our stay was wonderful!

Great place to relax! Secluded house, amazing views. The deck is a fantastic place to relax to enjoy the river. This was the second year in a row we have booked this house and we would definitely go back! Also Tony and team are very responsive to any questions!

Great stay! Beautiful house right off of the Potomac River. The host was welcoming and easy to reach. The one thing I’d note is that the manual mentioned that we should bring firewood for the fire, but the fire pit is gas. We purchased a good amount of firewood and did not have a use for it.

Host was very welcoming and responsive to our inquiries. House is beautiful and in a peaceful setting. The sunset was mesmerizing. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. The entire house was very clean and organized.Cellular is very spotty in the area. However, the wi-fi was pretty good, and I was able to join my video calls without issues. There were occasional stick bugs/shield bugs in the house, but we were in the woods so it didn’t really bother us.I will definitely book again. It was a much needed getaway.

Beautiful home and amazing views

We came here for a short weekend with friends and loved staying here! Beautiful home and amazing views - the weather was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more. We even saw a doe and a huge buck walk right next to the house while we were having coffee on the deck one morning! Corinne was very attentive, responding to any questions I had within minutes. Would definitely recommend and stay here again !!

The whole experience from making the reservation till checkout was great!The host gets back to you so quickly with any questions we had. The house was beautiful, well equipped and very clean. There was a coffee pot and a Keurig with coffee provided. The deck looking over the river was a wonderful spot to gather, beautiful view of the river. Beautiful wooded property overlooking the river, no river access. We all said we should have stayed longer!

Riverfront Stay

My family and I were looking for a scenic and peaceful stay while exploring the area. This home was perfect for what we were looking for. The property was set back in the woods, very quiet, with great back porch views of the Potomac River. The home was very clean, well furnished, and had plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed a grilled dinner on the back porch as a family, and s’mores over the fire pit. Check in and out was very simple.i would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

Forested Get-a-Way

This is a lovely home set far back on a country Road. It sits in the middle of the forest and then you can see the Potomac river below you from the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed using our Merlin app to document all of the birds that we were hearing. There were Baltimore orioles, fluttering about. It was very comfortable and the perfect place for a bunch of bird lovers!

As VRBO owners, we were very pleased with our accommodations. The house was amazing. Plenty of room for our 3-generation family! Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and cookware for Gram’s famous fried chicken with lots of help from g’daughters. 4 bedrooms with beds that were super comfortable; cozy and warm for Gram, cool and comfy for the rest. Baths were convenient and offered nice quality, soft towels; along with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The W/D allowed “some of us” to pack lite!!We enjoyed seeing deer along the road leading to the house and feeding near the river below; plus geese, rabbits, squirrels, cranes, hawks…and both bald eagles and golden eagles. We spent many hours watching from the decks, taking pics, and sharing with family. The firepit was nice on cooler evenings. The guys enjoyed watching basketball and golf on the large TV in the LR. We all had a FUNTASTIC time sitting around a beautiful fireplace, playing games at night. Speaking of golf, the guys brought their clubs and played 2 of the 5 days on local courses. The gals shopped many of the local thrift shops and are taking home some real treasures.

This home is has it all. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. Tony was an excellent, responsive host. Plenty of room. Very clean. Comfortable and classy. They even had coffee KCups stocked in the kitchen. Being able to use the grill was a plus. The home is in a secluded area, yet is still a quick ten minutes away from town. The house is even better than the pictures in the listing showed.
