This property is beautiful. Chris did an amazing job renovating the house. Very cozy, historic, yet modern amenities. The view is amazing. The sunsets are legit. Chis & Co were very helpful and communicative.

Foxfire is a lovely property in a stunning setting. We enjoyed grilling out and the beautiful sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds were also super comfortable. The master bath is fantastic and even has a heated floor and towel bar. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great stay at a great value

This was a great stay, the house was clean and updated, the evening views were awesome, and the owners were very responsive at all times. We will definitely be staying here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The home was beautiful, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into the little details, includingcomplimentary wine, which was such a nice touch.I was nervous about the location at first because I had never been to Smithsburg and thought the house might be in the middle of nowhere. It ended up being one of my favorite things about the house. It feels private & surrounded by beautiful country scenery, but we were still only about 10-15 minutes from everything we needed. The hosts were extremely responsive, quick and friendly whenever we had questions. I was a little overwhelmed by all the rules & instructions at first, but once we got settled in, everything was very smooth and easy. The master bedroom and bathroom were amazing. The hot tub was so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. We did not use the upstairs bedroom, but it has many conveniences that would make it a nice setup for a single person.A few helpful tips for future guests: there is a toaster oven, so bring a regular toaster if preferred. If you plan to do laundry, bring a couple of Tide pods. The bathroom door in the 2nd bedroom is a little tricky to close. Parking is below the house, with a short paved walkway & several steps to the house. We had no problem with IT, but it is worth knowing if you have a lot of luggage or mobility concerns.Overall, we had a wonderful stay. It was exactly the relaxing getaway we were hoping for!

Great house and location

Foxfire was a lovely house both inside and out. Terrific views, clean and updated amenities, and easy booking process with friendly hosts. Loved the book of local civil war history that Emily’s dad wrote. Great space and easy drive to lots of local sights. Would come again!

Anniversary Getaway

We stayed here for our 19th anniversary and it was great! The house was immaculate, very comfortable, and thoughtfully accommodating. The property and the view were beautiful, and the location allowed quick access to surrounding restaurants in the Hagerstown area.

Mini Winter Getaway

This house had everything you could ever need! While our older kids enjoyed some skiing, our toddlers enjoyed exploring the property. It was the perfect location for what we wanted to do.

We stayed at this house to celebrate New Year, and it was a wonderful experience.The home is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very clean, and well maintained. The kitchen is excellently equipped and has everything you might need, it was a pleasure to cook there. You can really feel the care and attention from the hosts in every detail.We especially loved the heated mattress in the master bedroom. The appliances are high quality, the shower is excellent, and the outdoor hot tub was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely give this place 5 stars. Highly recommended!Sen

Perfect Location

Wife and I spent four nights while visiting family in Hagerstown over Thanksgiving. The house was comfortable, well-furnished, spotless, with spectacular views--basically perfect. Great central location to Hagerstown, Frederick, Gettysburg, Antietam National Battlefield, etc. We will definitely consider returning on our next visit to the area.

So many special luxuries- my favorite might have been the towel warming rack in the master bedroom. But more than I can name… a coffee bar, deck places to sit and enjoy, beautiful deer family each night, a great kitchen with good knives!very thoughtful touches
