The Mona Lake home was the perfect property for our family of 16. It was a spacious, beautifully appointed home yet very comfortable. Our Grandchildren enjoyed the themed bedrooms and large game room. The very large, well equipped kitchen with long bar, 2 dishwashers and 2 cooking areas was perfect for all our “chefs”. Outdoor area was enjoyed by all of us as well-heated pool with slide, hot tub and pier where we docked our boat. We enjoyed boating , tubing, water skiing and exploring. The yard was very large and great for lawn games. In the evenings we enjoyed the fire pit and s’mores. Finally, we all had an incredible time and made many memories which I am sure will be lifelong.

Family vacation with 8 adults and 4 kids (ages 3-6). Home had tons of room for everyone. Highlight was the beautiful well kept pool - great area to gather. Set up well for all ages. Hot tub & sauna also got quite a bit of use. We did use the lake for kayaking and paddle board a bit, but the kids were not fond of the beach area, so not much time playing there. Good location for stores and proximity to Muskegon farmer’s market/downtown area. We also went to Grand Haven for dinner, sunset & musical fountain. But we had everything we needed right there - didn’t really need to venture out much! Great host, very responsive.

Eight adults, nine kids, unlimited memories, PRICELESS! Excellent time, beautiful winter weekend gathering spot! Many amenities for the young and the mature. The house was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

We had an incredible stay and would book this house again without hesitation! The attention to detail was unmatched, from the fully stocked kitchen (seriously, it had everything we could possibly need) to the thoughtful touches like s’mores treats waiting for us when we arrived.Traveling with kids can be stressful around water, but the child locks and pool door/window alarms gave us so much peace of mind while still allowing everyone to enjoy the beautiful pool. Every room was clearly labeled, the attention to detail was very top tier. You can tell that the owners/team taking care of this property really pays attention and cares about the folks choosing to rent their spaces? We had three families staying together, and there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out while still gathering comfortably in the large family areas. The lake access was fantastic, and the kayaks made it so easy and fun to get out on the water. Having a grocery store just minutes away was another huge convenience.This home is exceptionally well cared for and thoughtfully designed for families. You can tell the owners have put so much effort into creating a comfortable, welcoming experience, and it truly made our vacation memorable. Five stars all around!

Great house for our family vacation of 15. Lots to do with the pool, fishing off the dock and entertainment in the basement. Huge yard for lawn games with a relaxing area to watch the sunset and sit by the fire. We highly recommend this rental.

Facilities were great for a large family. We were 4 grandkids and two friends, our daughters and son in laws and Gloria and I in our 70s. Kitchen was our only glitch, utensils were slim, but it worked out. All had great times..Highly recommended.

Family Vacation at Mona Lake

This is a lovely property with lots of space and tons of amenities. Kids had lots of fun with pool and slide as well as kayaks and boards. Spacious kitchen well equipped with cooking supplies. Well thought out spaces for the whole family.Plenty of parking as well.

The property was as advertised. Great location on Mona Lake. We rented a boat for several days, and the dock was terrific. Plenty of room in the house, bedrooms, rec room, and living room. Fantastic fire pit. Leslie, the host, was super responsive. The kitchen was well equipped.

A great getaway

We loved off-season Muskegon, which this house made quite entertaining with arcade games, table tennis, hot tub, sauna, Nintendo, and plenty of places to read. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-appointed.

Crew Getaway

Everything was excellent. The home was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you see in the pictures are true. I will definitely stay there again.

Weekend getaway

The house was perfect for my husband’s side of the family to hang out for the weekend. The house has everything including phone chargers in the bedrooms. Definitely recommend!

The home is lovely and fit 6 adults and 2 children with room to spare! The photos are representative of the home and grounds. The kitchen is large and outfitted with just about every pan or small appliance you might need. The location is perfect - several grocery stores and pharmacies are within a couple of miles, so it’s not a major trek if you have to make a last minute grocery run. We will be back!

We had a few hiccups upon arrival. Leslie quickly resolved out issue. We had a wonderful time at Mona Lake Retreat. The house is well stocked, especially the kitchen! The pool was a fabulous place to hang out, as well as the fire pit. My SIL brought his boat, so the dock was another feature we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. We had 8 adults and 5 children, plenty of room in the house for us.

Lots of room

Lots of separate spaces indoors and outdoors for groups of people to gather. Room to relax or have some fun. And plants of private space when you want to get away from everyone.

Family Vacation

Great place to host our large family for summer vacation. Property provided lots to do for the youngest to to the oldest. Everything has been freshly renovated and modernized. Swam, caught fish, seen deer in the backyard. Will definitely keep this place in mind for our next adventure it was everything we hoped for. Lots of memories made!

Mid Summer Vacation

We had a group of 14 people that included 8 adults and 6 teenagers. The property was perfect and Leslie was very accommodating and answered all of our questions immediately. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The house had everything you need to enjoy a week away from home. We would absolutely stay again!

Lovely Home & Everything You Need

It’s so nice to have many king bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. Everyone could spread out in the home and also the living spaces were large enough for us to gather comfortably. The kitchen is huge and stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. We were in the pool most days and went to Hoffmaster beach (beautiful) and Grand Haven as day trips. And our Host was the best!

Leslie is a fantastic host. Anytime I reached out to her, she responded quickly. When she found out that the hot tub wasn’t as clean as my husband liked, she sent someone out that morning. I can’t speak more highly of her.The house itself was perfect for our stay, as a family of 16. It has everything anyone could possibly want or need. Our grandchildren range in age from 4 to 17 years old. Each and every one of them loved their stay. As did the adults. The size of the house allowed each of us plenty of space to spread out. The large kitchen was a gathering place for our family. It has every appliance and kitchen tool that you could possibly need, to include; a Margaritaville drink machine, hot air fryer, both a drip coffee machine and a KPod coffeemaker, two dishwashers, and two cooktops. There is a second refrigerator downstairs near the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, dock and fire pit. When we arrived we found Hershey bars and Graham Crackers waiting for us on the kitchen island. The only thing needed were marshmallows! There were a plethora of “marshmallow/hotdog roasting forks” provided as well. The pool had plenty of floats, water guns and towels for everyone. There is an added safety measure of door alarms near the pool that can be activated. With most of our grandchildren spending time downstairs, it helped provide peace of mind. The lower level was perfect for the kids (my big kids too). They loved having their own space. Five Stars for this property
