Adorable 2-bedroom coach house is the perfect Beachwalk Resort getaway for smaller groups. Flexible sleeping arrangements, with room to sleep up to 5, with a full kitchen and all resort amenity access. A small front porch with a bench welcomes you to this charming 2-floor home, centrally located near the playground and activities dock on Lake Kai.

1 in front of the guest house, please park off the road as much as possible. Overflow parking lot nearby.

Professionally managed means peace of mind during your stay. Front desk associates, housekeeping and maintenance staff are nearby should you need anything during your stay. It’s your vacation, we are here to ensure you enjoy it!

RESORT AMENITIES AND INFO * indicates a seasonal amenity.
4ft heated pool*, toddler pool*, basketball court*, tennis court, Sandcastle playground, putting green, paddle boarding* and kayaking*, catch and release fishing off two different piers. New bocce ball* and shuffleboard courts* and toddler sprinkler pad*. Parking Passes ($5 each) and Wristbands ($15 each) are required for all guests ages 4 and up mid-May through September.

Can be rented in conjunction with the main house (Key Lime). See "The Keys" listing for details.
Keyhole Cottage rents with a 7-night minimum with check-in and check-out on Saturday during peak season (mid-June to mid-August).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at Keyhole Cottage, for our young family of four. The house was small and simple in a good way -- the beds were comfortable and the kitchen and laundry were well appointed. Our goal was to unplug, get outside and enjoy Lake Michigan and the Beachwalk amenities! It was safe and fun for our 9 and 13 year old to explore. The neighborhood was incredibly charming, and the lakeshore was gorgeous, even early in the season (1st week of June). We loved every minute and cannot wait to return! -- One issue: the description says there is a 'sofa bed' but it's either a standard sofa or we couldn't figure out how to open it!

Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay here was great!Pros: Location, amenities, staff on site were helpful, proximity to the beach is hard to beat and this place was perfect for our family of 4. We took advantage of the kayaks, paddle boards, pool and ice cream on site often.Cons:The floors were pretty dirty-- upon arrival we took our shoes off and our feet were black from the floors within an hour. There isn't a mop or anything remedy the situation in the laundry room. We also found several globs of hair floating around, including one in the larger bed. I'm sure this was an oversight/poor luck on our part because most of the house seemed spotless.We didn't realize that this property was not eligible for a golf cart rental- it mentions rentals and rules with them in the contract so we were surprised to find out we couldn't.Our stay was cut short because of the wildfire smoke being unhealthy for our children (and us) and having to leave-- I was a little disappointed when we weren't offered some type of reimbursement or credit but should have read the fine print so make sure you do.

Key Hole Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are not planning to spend much time in the house, use the TV, or cook, this is the cottage for you. We truly enjoyed out Lake Michigan vacation and Beachwalk Resort, but would not rent this cottage again. The description over promised and under delivered. The sleeper sofa with a 4 in memory foam mattress equates to sleeping on the couch. Couch doesn’t pull out and there’s no memory foam mattress. The full kitchen was sparsely furnished and utensils, pots, pans, and knives were all dirty with food still stuck to them. Twin bed mattresses were like rocks. No crockpot, no grill tools, no waffle iron, no keurig, no vacuum. One ceiling fan did not work and maintenance couldn’t fix it. It left that bedroom very warm at night. Several light bulbs were burnt out and had to be replaced. I would not recommend this cottage, nor rent it again.

Very close to the playground (walking distance with a 3 year old) and the pool and lake area. We also were told once we got there that the big house wasn’t being used, so we were welcome to the golf cart! That was totally unprompted and the nicest surprise. Great spot, nicest people.

Took advantage of the paddleboards and paddleboats on the lake. Golf cart (included) was a great bonus. The staff were outstanding! Maintenance man stopped to chat and came back with a candy bar for the kids. Will definitely be back!!!
