Experience one of the most unique stays in Costa Rica in this stunning 133 m² (1,431 sqft) ecological dome, just a 400-meter flat walk to the beach near Isla Tortuga and the famous bioluminescence tours.

If you are looking for the property it is right behind the little cafe. Would highly recommend this property especially if you are look for a little calm and peace and waking up with the sound of nature.

We enjoyed the overall experience. We wish we would have had more time at the biodome. It was pretty cool but I feel there are a few things that could have been addressed. The entryway door was extremely difficult to open and close. My wife and kids couldn't even use it. It was as if either the door was swollen from moisture or just off angle. I guess that could be a really big deal. The whole place did have a musty smell, I'm assuming the humidity doesn't help. The giant window would have been nicer if you could have actually seen thru it. It could use a good cleaning. The place was spotless but to me those were minor things that could be fixed fairly easily. Being from the states I tend not to use Whatsapp that much but I know the rest of the world tends to rely on it for communication, the host relys on it as does the rest of Costa Rica, if your not familiar with it, familiarize yourself with it. I would definitely come back, my kids thought it was super cool. I wish we would have had more time to explore the area.

The entrance door has been adjusted and now opens and closes smoothly, and the large panoramic window has been professionally cleaned to restore the beautiful views. Geodome switch

We were not able to get in the Goedome because heavy rain had affected the interior a little. Instead, Carlos upgraded us to one of his beautiful 2 bed 3 bath homes. It was perfect and had a pool. We would definitely stay there anytime. Also everyone was so friendly

Property description is not accurate

We paid for 3 nights and only stayed one. It lists 4 bedrooms - they count beds and fold out sofas are also counted as rooms. It is a completely shared space. The air conditioning that is in the space is not adequate to cool the space for comfortable sleeping and the kitchen is a kitchenette at best. The BBQ that was advertised did not work. I felt REALLY ripped off as I was leaving as I had to book another place to stay at an additional cost. The property manager was very available and as responsive as he could be in the situations.

Dear Charlotte When you first contacted us, you asked if there is wifi/internet, and we answered yes. One day before check-in, you also received a video showing the whole 133m2 (1.431 sqft) area and the concept of what a Dome is, everything matching 100% with the pictures online when you made your booking. Sadly, after arriving, we got messages from you saying that you need reception for your phone as you need to be available for your clients. We said this is a place in the Jungle with great internet, as you requested, but for cell phone reception, you'll need to go to town, which is 8 minutes away. You insisted on the need to be reachable 24/7 and that being reachable through the internet (Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp) was not enough because some of your clients are not familiar with this way of communication. Charlotte, the situation escalated your comfort, and we apologize for that. If you check all other reviews, all five-star reviews, you will notice that no one client mentioned having any troubles with the AC, the vast space, or the kitchenette, which in the description is not only described as a kitchenette rather than as a Kitchen but exactly that box is activated and not the one of a kitchen. The BBQ was also working the day before, as it was the day after you left, as we had other guests in the other domes. You just needed to turn on the gas bottle. We work very hard every day so people can enjoy their deserved vacation, and we are so grateful for all the positive feedback we get. We also understand that we cannot make everyone happy, and we hope you were able, in the end, to enjoy the rest of your vacation in another place. Pura Vida

More than we expected!

Our family of 4 (kids 9 & 11) found ourselves privileged to be the first to stay here. The large dome was clean & well-appointed. It provides a peaceful & cozy vibe. The large shower was perfect for a luxurious rinse off after the beach, the lounger sofas were cozy for curling up with a book or listening to tunes using the Bluetooth built-in speaker, & the bed was comfortable too. The kitchenette was well stocked. We could hear & see howler monkeys off the deck. Travel from SJO was simple, the Paquera ferry drop-off is 10 minutes from the dome & accessible without 4x4. The highlight of the location was the close proximity to Playa Organos, a quiet beach oasis with a beach-side restaurant whose menu satisfied our kids. Excursions included a trip to Isla Tortuga, night kayaking in bioluminescent waters & enjoying the abundance of wildlife at the Curu Wildlife Reserve; all within 30-minutes. Additional value that cannot be understated came from that of our host, Carlos. From the time of booking and throughout our stay, Carlos, who lives nearby, was exceptionally accessible & attentive. Issues that arose, such as the need for a clothes line, handled within hours regardless of their urgency. We were delighted to have been able to tap into Carlos’ vast network of local connections & knowledge that he’s cultivated in his 14 years here. We would definitely return & we share Carlos’ excitement as his vision of dome units surrounding a communal outdoor living/cooking space takes shape.
