Our family really enjoyed our week in this house. Unrivaled beach access, quiet, and convenient to the action of Rehobeth if that's your bag. We love the Delaware Bay.

Wonderful beach house

Wonderful stay

The house had everything we needed - very well stocked. It was perfect for our family; big kitchen, big outdoor area to lounge, quiet spaces away from the ruckus. We would stay again.

This property boasts an absolutely perfect location, offering easy walking distance to the beach and convenient driving access to nearby attractions like Lewes, Rehoboth, Prime Hook nature reserve, and the Cape May Ferry. The property itself was exceptionally clean and provided ample space for a family getaway. The owners were highly responsive and a pleasure to book with.

This is the first rental I have done since my family sold my parents beach house. So there was an high emotional bar for me. This home is beautiful, roomy, clean, and very well organized. Every person in our family group commented on the awesome views (strawberry moon and fireworks in particular) The owners communication was timely and clear and we particularly appreciated the heads up that the town parade would block the main road out after a certain time. Quiet, uncrowded beach and calm water for the kids. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Although the house was able to accommodate our group of 10 it did feel tight at times. The living room did not have enough seating for everyone to hangout together. Everyone could not sit around the kitchen island either. The outdoor seating on the deck is spacious though. The outdoor showers came in handy when everyone was trying to get ready. The hot water did run out before everyone could finish showering though. You do have to walk through one bedroom to get to another bedroom upstairs. There was an issue with the fire alarms and septic alarm, the owner did respond within a reasonable time.

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting our spacious deck and convenient outdoor showers. To clarify for future guests, our home's layout, seating options, and the walkthrough configuration of that single upstairs bedroom are fully and accurately detailed in our listing description and photos. While we frequently host groups of up to 12 guests who rave about how comfortable and spacious the home is for their size, we always encourage reviewing the pictures to ensure it fits your group's specific dynamic. We also want to clarify that our home is equipped with a high-capacity tankless water heater designed to supply continuous, constant hot water so that groups never run out. Regarding the utilities, we always aim for a seamless experience. When you reached out about the smoke detector and our standard septic holding-tank alarm, we responded instantly to assist you and immediately scheduled routine maintenance. We always strive to go above and beyond for our guests—which is why we were happy to approve a special exception prior to booking to accommodate your entire group of dogs. We appreciate you choosing our home for your trip.

Great vacation home!

This is a beautiful house with ability to hold our group: 5 adults, 5 children, including a baby. We so enjoyed the large outdoor space for dining, grilling and relaxing. The gorgeous beach was quiet and not filled with tourists. Homeowners were very responsive. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Getaway House

I was skeptical because I had to bring my own linens, but the quality of the beds and pillows more than made up for bringing my own linens. Very comfortable house. Loved, loved, loved showering in the outside showers, even though I didn’t go I to the ocean. The color through the house was calming. I look forward to another stay in the future.

Great experience

Beautiful house, on the beach was key. Owner was quick with communication. Only downside is the no bedding/towels policy. It was clearly communicated and no surprises but still a bit of a hassle. Beyond that would easily recommend.

Pristine! Beautiful home with stunning views from inside and outside. From the outdoor dining area/sitting area to the private beach area, this home offers phenomenal amenities. This home is perfect for a family beach getaway. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this home for a special family birthday celebration. Highly recommend!! Communication with the host was top notch and they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed — even dropping off a brand new toaster to replace the one that wasn’t functioning. 5 stars!

Beautiful house, great location

My family (kids, parents, grandparents) enjoyed a wonderful stay here thanks to the very comfortable house and superb location. We spent most of our indoor time in the kitchen / living room, which had ample space for our group of 7. The kitchen has all new appliances and is well stocked with all the essentials. We enjoyed several sunrises from the large balcony on the main floor and the huge outdoor area on the first floor was very enjoyable when it was cool enough to be outside. Just a short walk over the dunes, the beach was very pleasant and sparsely populated, even on the busy 4th of July weekend. Finally, the owners were very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation to the beach.

Great house!

We had a lovely time at this house! The beach access was great, and the covered porch was breezy and delightful. All the communication was clear and responses prompt, check-in was very easy. The house was cute, and as described/pictured. We hadn’t looked closely enough at the layout to realize that the you have to walk through the trundle bed room to get to one of the other bedrooms, but that was no big deal. The only downside of our week was that for several of the days the bugs were so bad we couldn’t really enjoy being outside at all - we ended up going to Lewes for two of our beach days and never got to do a fire. This was our experience last time at Broadkill, so more a note about the area, not this specific property.

The house and property are very well maintained. The host was very responsive during the whole booking and stay process. Views of the water from the house are excellent and closeness to the beach is the best. We would recommend this house to anyone.

Is there a way that someone could be available to operate the lift especially at check in? We would have liked a sink and commode in the Master.

We take pride in our property, so it is disappointing to receive a low rating with zero explanation. We always encourage guests to communicate their needs so we can ensure a great stay, but no feedback or concerns were ever shared with us.
