Welcome to Hounds on Hazel, where every member of the family—furry ones included—can settle in and savor the good life! Nestled in the heart of South-side SoHa, our home is a cozy, dog-friendly escape made for fun, relaxation, and cherished moments. Your dogs aren’t just welcomed here, they’re celebrated! With plenty of space to roam, nearby parks, and pet-friendly beaches, your four-legged companions will be just as delighted as the rest of the family.



After a day of discovering all that South Haven has to offer, come home to our warm and inviting retreat. Cook up your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen, unwind in the comfy living room (lovingly dubbed "The Paw-lor"), or enjoy some friendly competition with board games for every age. There’s no shortage of ways to relax and have fun together in this spacious home.



​​​​​​​Perfectly suited for families of all sizes, Hounds on Hazel features two peaceful Queen Suites upstairs for some restful downtime, and two cheerful Kid’s Suites with twin-over-full bunk beds and trundles—perfect for the little ones to rest after a day of adventure. Downstairs, there’s another cozy Queen Suite next to the game room, giving everyone their own special space. And for a touch of indulgence, the Master Queen Suite upstairs offers a jacuzzi tub, perfect for soaking away your cares after a long day on the lakeshore.



From movie marathons in the in-house theater to lively ping pong tournaments in the game room, there’s something for everyone at Hounds on Hazel. Kids Corner Park is just a short stroll away, offering endless opportunities for outdoor fun, while the Blue Stairs Beach is a quick walk for those sun-soaked beach days. If your pups want to join the adventure, Van Buren State Park is just a short drive away, giving them their own slice of beachside fun.

Beach Access: Blue Stairs Beach access is only a 13 minute walk away

We're available Monday - Friday (9a - 4p), dedicated to helping guests with any questions they may have while they're planning their summer excursion to our area, and helping current guests get the most out of their experience with tips and tricks to help them live like locals while they're staying with us.



For our incoming guests:



Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging. This will include all necessary information to access this luxurious home and make it your own, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We also provide an after hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text message to get a hold of one of our local area experts.
