Welcome to your serene escape in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Nestled on five private acres just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Roanoke, this beautifully renovated 4-bedroom farmhouse offers the perfect blend of history, comfort, and natural beauty.

All trash placed in the Roanoke County bin must be bagged. They will not take the trash if it is not bagged. If you put loose trash in the Roanoke County bin, I have to scoop it out by hand!

Please do not open the antique windows. You may open the windows in the kitchen if you like.

Please use the stack of towels in the mudroom for the hot tub.

No pets that are not housebroken.

You must use a crate for your dog if you leave them inside unattended. There is plenty of space in the mud room for dog crates.

Pets may not be on the beds or furniture.

Please use the fenced in yard for your dog to do “their business”. No need to scoop poop – we will take care of it.

Please note that the rest of the property is large, unfenced and there is abundant wildlife. Please be careful with your dog off-leash if they have a tendency to chase animals or run off.

Your pet fee covers the expected extra cleaning that comes with pets, but does not cover urine clean up or other damage.

A House and Host

Our group came into town for a softball tournament and had a great time staying at the farmhouse! The house and hot tub were perfect, and the host had great communication throughout. Would highly recommend to all.

Relax and enjoy

This house and property was so peaceful. The woods were fun to explore during the day, but at night- the fire pit, fireflies and hot tub were delightful! The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking PLUS the town’s restaurants and antique shopping made for the perfect vacation for all age groups. Very comfortable for 6-8 adults. Keep in mind, this is a 100 year old house meant for relaxing and enjoying the out-of-doors. No fancy extras, but comfy beds, very clean, and plenty of seating. Relax and enjoy!

Great Property for a family visiting!

Another great stay!!

My husband and I along with our pups visited the Farmhouse for the 2nd time. The owner of home is attentive to his Renters and has equipped the home with everything you may need.The location is convenient to Route 220 and you will have many choices for eating and shopping. The farmhouse was a very nice stay along the BRP.

Fabulous Time Away

We stayed at the Private Farmhouse while attending our son's college graduation. The home, property, and property manager were exceptional! We even had to adjust our stay and communication was prompt and generous with options. The property was immaculate and so beautiful. It is close to everything, quiet, and the views are amazing. We loved waking up to the view of the Blue Ridge mountains right outside the bedroom window! We highly recommend this property! You will not be disappointed with your stay and the hospitality.

Nice Property and Awesome Host

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The property owner, Peter, was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. Location was great as well - convenient to downtown. This property is great for travelers with dogs. We will definitely stay here again.

Holiday visit

The Farm was the perfect place for our family of five as we visited our extendwd family in Roanoke. The location was ideal for our needs and we enjoyed the feeling of being in the woods yet close to civization. The house was spaciois and was well appointed.

Wonderful Getaway!

We've spent an extended weekend end of March at this charming farmhouse to celebrate a birthday and explore some mountain biking in the area. The house was super clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, only wished for some blinds or curtains in the upstairs bedrooms. Lovely farmhouse kitchen with a wonderful view out the bay window, perfect for birdwatching. I can only imagine how nice it will be when all the leaves on the trees are in. We did not use the hot tub but enjoyed the large outdoor space for grilling and sitting around a campfire. Highly recommended!

A Lovely House and Great Location

My husband and I loved our stay here (and so did our dog)! The farmhouse had plenty of space both with number of rooms but also the common areas (kitchen, tv room, sitting room). The fenced in area was perfect for our dog too. We loved how close the house was in proximity to places we hiked, ate, and the antique stores explored. You could hardly hear the traffic on 220 which was great for a relaxing evening in the hot tub. Highly recommend!

Hidden Oasis

A private secluded conveniently located oasis that is perfect for friends and family to reconnect. The picnic tables, fire pit, hot tub, ample parking and room to roam are difficult to find so close to Roanoke and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Peaceful

We were in Roanoke for my daughter’s wedding. We enjoyed staying at this property. It is a very quiet and peaceful location which we needed after all the wedding festivities. We will be back

Loved the farm house

We were very pleased with the house and grounds. It is secluded, yet convenient to the Walmart. We were visiting family in cave springs who didn't have 4 extra bedrooms. Everything was as listed on the vrbo site. Like new appliances, plenty of mixing bowls and Tupperware. Well stocked, though we always bring our stuff anyway, just in case. We were 6 adults and had plenty of space. We cooked on the outside grill, used the picnic tables (I brought tablecloths), and hot tub. Great fun. We had a small cookout for a total of 10 adults and one child - plenty of seating at the picnic tables and plenty of parking for our seven cars. No complaints from any in our group about the beds- we all slept well. We took a walk out back when we had a little free time - nice sunny hill. Definitely would come back again.

Stay at the Farm

The property is great! Really enjoyed being able to have the dogs with us and there is plenty of room to take them for a walk on the property. The house is really charming with very nice updates. The kitchen is well appointed and very spacious. Communication with the owner/host leading up to check- in was fantastic. Look forward to returning someday and enjoying more of the area.

Christmas in Roanoke

This property was PERFECT for our family get together over the Christmas holiday. The home was spacious, with a large and well-stocked kitchen. The location was also ideal. The Farm vibe felt very welcoming, and though we were all traveling, it actually felt like we had all come home for Christmas. The location makes you feel like you are out in the country, but it was still close to commerce when we needed to pick up groceries. The owner made our stay extra special by putting up a Christmas tree, complete with lights. The Farm will definitely be our home away from home whenever we are in Roanoke.
