Stay ON THE WATER at Keepin' It Reel, a unique docked Caddo Lake houseboat vacation rental in Uncertain, Texas, right next to Johnson's Ranch Marina and overlooking the historic Dick and Charlie's Tea Room, you'll be in a prime location for experiencing the scenery, history and one of a kind atmosphere of Caddo Lake.

Had a great time, even tho we didnt catch any fish. The place was very relaxing and stayed cool even tho it was extremely hot weather. We grately appreciate being alliwed to check in a little early. We plans on coming back again.The Hills

We enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. The lake and the view were SO relaxing, and the houseboat was comfortable. There were 3 of us, so quarters were a little tight, but fortunately we all like each other. Lol. We took one of the boat tours from Johnson Marina next door, which we also highly recommend. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a great place to stay, and the host was very responsive.

This was my husband and I first time to caddo lake and we love to fish and this place was perfect. The only downfall and this has nothing to do with the houseboat itself but it is docked at a boat dock that is also part of uncertain lodge so you never know what kind of people will be utilizing the boat dock while you are there. We didn't have any problems but there were some young kids utilizing the boat dock and was playing loud music and not respectful that we were in the house oat trying to sleep. That will always be a hit or miss with that. Otherwise everything was a dream for my husband and I.

Unique, something a little different. Interior was well decorated and clean, very clean. Interior was cramped not good for relaxing but the bed was very comfortable. Outdoor furniture of folding camping chairs not so comfortable. All exterior condition was poor. Screen was torn, top deck railing bad condition, just not very enticing to want to stay outside. Entire exterior could use a good power washing. I live in the country myself and I know it's a pain to keep the exterior of my property clean all of the time but I would think when charging someone to stay at your property a little extra effort would be put into keeping it a little cleaner. Location was very good, close to the Shady Glade cafe for breakfast and a small store was very convenient and just around the corner

First time staying at a place that isn't a hotel. If I had to pack all over again. I would bring my personal pillows, an oscillating fan to help disperse the AC unit more effectively, and a sign that says do not disturb. When you park, park beside the bridge over to the side because it is a shared dock. Park away from the walk path.

We stayed Thanksgiving night and it was perfect! We bbqed steaks and enjoyed a nice night on the lake.

We loved being on the water. Being able to walk out the front door and fish was great. Our host was very responsive, almost like sitting across the table. It was so convenient rafting up to the houseboat with our boat. The night sounds on the lake were so nice - owls and other birds. We liked being next to Johnson's Marina. The people there are a great help if you're not familiar with the lake.

Great, unique place to stay!

The houseboat is really cozy and the location is near all of the different places we wanted to visit in the area (Jefferson and Caddo Lake State Park). One of my favorite things was looking at the stars from the roof of the houseboat. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The flea market up the road was charming and fun, and the outpost nearby was very convenient for small groceries/sundries.

Caddo time

The houseboat was super fun. It was really cool to be able to sit on the roof and enjoy the views. Having access to the kayaks at no charge was the cherry on top. I absolutely loved kayaking around the lake and exploring the cypress trees with my family!

Magically cute

This quaint house boat is tucked into a scenic spot on Caddo lake. The front porch base the best view of the historic Tea House on Caddo. The Canoes and Kayaks have an easy spot to launch from for a short adventure or if you’d like to book a tour hop next door to Johnson’s Marina. If you need a quick snack or refreshment the marina also has you covered.

Very peaceful and picturesque location

My husband and i stayed on a Monday night in mid Sept, which was very peaceful. The location is directly across from the iconic tearoom built circa 1900. Unique option for an out of the norm experience. We went for my husband's birthday, we enjoyed being right on the water. Location was right in the middle of everything that Uncertain has to offer. We were able to enjoy a mud boat racing event on one of the days we were there. I did see a few complaints about the activity/noise on the dock where this is located. All activity was during "normal" hours, most activity in the surrounding area died down around 8ish. This is a boat house in an active area so it was all expected. We enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We took my husband's boat, so we did our own tours but heard great things about the tour that leaves out from the dock next to here.

It was just like the pictures said. Right when i opened the door, I noticed how clean it was and how good it smelled. When you think about a house boat, you think, musky,lake smell. No, it was the opposite. My internet worked perfect, they provided me with wi-fi password. A/C worked perfect. I didnt know i was on a boat houseuntill a boat zooming by us with large waves. I will be staying again.the communication was good, it does take a moment to get back with you but thats normal life. They have plenty of clean pillows and towls, i did bring mine just incase. I did love this boat house

24 hrs of up to 22 people & dogs ft from bed.

The boat is docked at another resort that hosts 22 guest & 2 barge tours up to another 10 people at a time. So people fish 24 hours a day a few feet away from your bed. We got little sleep. All those people under a covered aluminum dock can get really loud & crowded. It only has 4 boat capacity. Its small. Host said i should have complained? So my problem not hers. They had every right to be there its theirs.
