That beautiful creek right in front of the porch is actually a direct waterfront tributary of Caddo Lake! In fact, we provide two complimentary kayaks for our guests. You can paddle right from our property along a 15 min. gorgeous, scenic kayak trail that leads directly into the main channel. The public boat ramp is also just a quick 3-minute drive away. While we do have neighboring properties nearby ( the property is on an acre), we aim to use the natural trees to keep the space feeling like a relaxing retreat.We would love to host you both again for another birthday getaway on the water!

I totally agree that it’s nice to be on the water but away from the loud boat noise. I love our tributary, its beauty and peace. One of my favorite paddle trails right off the property. We also love the huge screened in porch plenty of room for a nice family bbq at both tables and still lots of room. I’m glad you enjoyed it- you all are welcome back anytime!

Oh no! I wish you would have messaged or called. My number is right on the fridge. The cabin takes about 15 mins to get down to 75. It is a bungalow cabin. It has a mini split where the air can blow cold directly on you. It also has three overhead fans and we keep an extra fan on the porch. This helps the temperature to change quickly. I’m sorry you had to deal with heat. That is not acceptable- we strive hard to give a 5 star experience.

Spring with new vegetation, water lilies, kayaking, sounds of the bayou coming to life and bbq. Summer with kayaking, swimming in the bayou, napping on the queen futon on the screened in porch and fall you have already experienced with the leaves changing color. All are picturesque. We welcome you back every time!
