Ahweanee i Foresta, Yosemite National Park

Vi kalder vores hytte, The Ahweanee, 'fordi vi designet den i motivet på det store Ahwahnee Hotel, men på kun 1.250 kvadratmeter hus og yderligere 1.250 kvadratmeter dæk er det så meget mindre. Master soveværelse har en dronning være; 2. soveværelse er et hule og har en queensize seng og en dronning futon, og det store rum har en dronning skjul-a-abed. Der er også en sovesofa i det store rum med en ekstra madras til sovesofa i master skabet.

The location is terrific and a quick drive to Yosemite Valley. There are a few gravel roads nearby to walk on, but no real trails nearby. Seems like the hot tub is not available to guests and the BBQ was without propane. But the beds were terrific and the appliances worked. It is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and artsy decor; very family friendly. Bring your own paper towels and napkins altho toilet paper was plentiful. Overall, we would book them again.

Beautiful home and location inside Yosemite!

We spent the last 5 days at this beautiful Foresta home with 2 bedrooms -- one with a queen full size futon, and one with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. Everything was as advertised. We couldn't use the hot tub as it's closed Nov-May as to avoid frozen pipes, but we would love to return again, either in winter or summer! Being 20 minutes from the Yosemite valley floor (Bridevail, etc.) was truly wonderful. We woke up to deer in our backyard twice. :)

Lodging in the Valley

Perfect quiet location within the park. Easy to drive to and from and throughout the park. Views are beautiful from the rear/deck and private. Home is tastefully appointed and very cozy and homey. Only issue we had was getting spa to heat. Otherwise fabulous stay.

Great location!

Wonderful location and a nice house. Great for 4 adults and two small kids. Plenty of sleeping locations and blankets and pillows. Property was well stocked. House had a few small problems, but nothing major. Hot tub was locked.

We loved our stay at The Ahweanee. The cabin is located in a beautiful spot with amazing views from the deck. What made our stay more special was how well it is stocked for a family with a good washer and dryer, grill, oven and a big fridge along with central cooling and wifi! All meals we cooked easily from home. We slept so well and were at Yosemite village in 15 minutes by car. Would definitely stay again.

Great location!

The location of the house was perfect for seeing Yosemite. The house was comfortable and as advertised. I would stay there again.

great Yosemite getaway

Wonderful cabin in prime Yosemite location. Few minutes drive down the valley, yet secluded and off the beaten path. Great amenities and lots of space. Hot tub was awesome after a long day of hiking. Would absolutely stay again!

Peaceful Sanctuary

The beautiful home is nestled in the Yosemite National Park in Foresta ( a short 25 minutes to the Yosemite Valley and Village!). My family and I had all the comforts of home! The home has gorgeous views looking out into the pine forest! All the basic necessities were provided for us; beds made up with soft linens and down blankets, bath towels and soaps for laundry, including washer and dryer! Our host, Jessica Chaney was very gracious and responded to my questions promptly! My family and I highly recommend the property for a great and memorable family vacation!

Good location: within Yosemite but away from the crowds and, therefore, peaceful and quiet. The house appearance, outside and in, was outstanding. Immediately comfortable.

Wonderful family vacation

Perfect property located inside park and just a short drive to Valley! Beautiful views from the huge deck. We loved the doors to the deck that we could open and enjoy the air. Property owner is so nice and responsive. Highly recommend and I hope to return again !

Great Cabin, Great Location

Cabin is in the park. Don’t have to deal with the long lines at the entry everyday. Quiet and secluded. Star show every night. Kitchen is well furnished.

Lovely cabin inside the park

This private home is located just above the Yosemite Valley floor. The home is lovely inside and out. We enjoyed the stars at night and coffee on the deck in the morning. We hiked, skied at Badger Pass, and enjoyed the view. A fun and relaxing get away.

Cozy, comfy, and spacious getaway.

We had a most wonderful stay. The home had everything we needed. We will come again next year. The happy cabin was our get away but also home base for our adventures. Half Dome, Tanaya Lake, Tuolumne Meadows and Redwood Grove. The cabin's location was peaceful and serene and conveniently close to the Yosemite Valley.

Beautiful location!

Staying in Yosemite and close to the valley (25 min) makes the trip so much more enjoyable. We could get anywhere within the park in about an hour and avoided the long entrance lines. There was also a lot of wildlife off the deck which we loved seeing. Unit is very clean and owners are very responsive. We would definitely recommend!

Great peaceful house close to park!

It was so great to stay at this wonderful house and only have to drive about 25 minutes to Yosemite Valley! We bought all our groceries at Pioneer Market in Mariposa and cooked all meals except one with a well stocked kitchen. We also especially loved opening the glass “wall” every evening to enjoy the outdoors . We could not have asked for a better place for the 4 of us to stay!

Perfect location!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Ahweanee in Foresta. The location was a short drive to the valley. My kids enjoyed the property. It was easy to communicate with Alex. Look forward to coming back next year! =)

Sunny, quiet cabin

We loved our stay at the Ahweanee. Perfect for a family of 4, but could easily sleep more. The opening wall was wonderful. The hotub a perfect end to the day and we could see stars for miles! Alex was so easy to work with and great communication. Thank you!

Weekend getaway

Spent 4 days here as a base camp for hiking, climbing and fishing in Yosemite Valley and Tuolomne Meadows. You can’t ask for a better location! 15 min to the Valley and 1 hr to the Meadows. Quiet location. Well equipped house with just about everything you need. Owner was polite and communicated well throughout the process. We plan on staying there again.

Perfect Yosemite getaway

This place is perfectly located for a visit in Yosemite! We were in the valley within 20 minutes and we loved that we could get away from the crowds easily. The house was perfect for two couples. It was comfortable and unlike many rentals we've stayed in, this place was well stocked with everything we needed. If I had one wish, it would be that the hot tub needs to be turned up higher. It's currently maxed at 100 and having a spa of my own, 103 is optimal especially after a 16-mile hike in Yosemite. Other than that, this place has everything we wanted/needed. We'll definitely come back!
