This cute rental is above the garage, next to the owner, in the middle of a beautiful area filled with redwoods. It’s very nicely decorated and comfortable. The yard is filled with green and pretty flowers and it was quiet.

Loved this place! The host was so sweet and left us seeds from their garden to plant at home! The property was accurately described, and spotlessly clean. Also, the neighborhood and the yard on the property are gorgeous! The beds and couch were so comfy, and the kitchen was so well-appointed that we could have cooked a variety of things there. We were a group of 3, had no trouble fitting all of our things, and felt like we had plenty of space to relax. This is not a space that would work for some individuals with disabilities, since it's up a flight of stairs over a garage, and the bathroom is on the small side. If that doesn't throw you, you'll love staying here.The location was perfect for what we aimed to do - we were there for a wedding at the Sequoia Retreat Center 15 minutes away, and also to see redwood groves (Henry Cowell State Park is 10 minutes away), and the beach near Santa Cruz (just under a half hour away). This place is super close to Felton's downtown, which is full of adorable shops and lovely cafes, taverns and more food than you would guess for such a small town. Lovely stay! Would absolutely return.

The apartment was safe, clean and nice. A few things of concern, but none are deal breakers and I would stay there again if I was in the area.1. Stairs. One flight leading to the main door. I did not see that in the listing but some others also mentioned it in their reviews. Not the easiest to navigate with full size suitcases.2. Very small bathroom. We were in town for a wedding and 4 of us had to use small bathroom with a shower that does have low water pressure.3. No AC. We really did not need it, but it could be an issue if the weather was warm. We opened up windows and things cooled down nicely. We did use the baseboard heat to take the chill off in the morning and it worked well.Other than that. It was a good 3 night stay and was as expected.

We brought all our own food to cook and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The house was comfortable and sunny. The backyard was beautiful and we enjoyed the view.

Great location near grocery stores, redwoods, hiking & Santa Cruz. Very good communication with the rental people. Extremely responsive to my questions. The place was super comfortable with a nice large bed. Would love to stay again.

We absolutely loved this little treasure in Ben Lombard. Immaculate accommodations with every amenity needed to make us comfortable. We only had one small issue which they addressed immediately with no hesitation. We will be sure to recommend this just to anyone who wants to visit this beauteous gem in California.
This is the unique clock in the living room.

Such a cute and fun place to stay great central location. Easy drive to Santa Cruz Monterey and other fun spots. Incredibly beautiful area and home. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The treehouse was very nice and enjoyable to stay plus nice and quiet too. It would have been nice to have a known it was above a garage with a lot of stairs to climb. Comfy beds, nice living area, and kitchen. Two things the shower is pretty small with not a lot of pressure to rinse your hair very well, but totally appreciated a shower. Second the 2 twin beds need a little WD40, because they were pretty squeaky every time you moved. We had a lovely weekend. It was a special 65th birthday very memorable too. It was absolutely perfect! We were excited to discover every room was tastefully decorated for Christmas, including a full size tree in the living room. It's such a cozy, inviting space already so the added warmth of the holiday decor and twinkly lights just knocked it out of the park. It was supposed to be a one-time stay but we're already discussing turning it into an annual trip because it was such a romantic and relaxing experience. Also, Masoods Liquor and Deli which is right down the road, has everything you could possibly need, including great sandwiches and a super friendly staff.

Lovely little gem

This was a lovely little find in the redwoods: clean, cozy and in the heart of nature. The owners were lovely and the property manager responded quickly and effectively. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the treehouse. My Father lives nearby and spent most of the time away. We mostly slept, bathed, and coffee in the morning. Upon arrival we had a nice handwritten card and some chocolates from the owners which was a nice touch and appreciated. I appreciated the parking convenience and the quiet environment. The unit has ample windows that we opened each night to cool the place down. Summer nights often drop to mid 50s so this works pretty quick- especially with the fans that are supplied. The kitchen looked well stocked with utensils. It would be good if you want to cook a family meal. My only negative comment relates to the coffee maker that didn’t work well- it made weak/semi-hot coffee. This was a keurig single-serve unit so we all reset the reusable pod thing to make four cups of coffee. You need to engage the top latch a couple times for it to blink to start the process. The first morning was rough but we got used to it on 2nd day. I would recommend a conventional drip unit that makes more with less fuss.

Quiet Getaway

The stay here was pleasant. It was comfortable for my wife and I had to spend the holidays away. The place had a very warm Christmas vibe. Very clean and well stocked. It was nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful.

As advertised: Excellent location, quiet, clean, well supplied kitchen, comfortable furniture, easy communication with O'Neal property management, easy check-in.Read the fine print: 1. No Air Conditioning, which is a factor during summer months. (Not listed is that the apartment is over a garage with a steep wooden staircase for entry) The garage faces west making the apartment uncomfortably hot during the afternoon through early evening with high temps above 90F. They do supply fans.2. Identity Verification process required for check-in. I have never had to do this for any other rental property. It is not about safety. Creates unnecessary risk for identity theft. Having a VRBO account and credit card on file should be sufficient. Additional upload of a personal ID card is not necessary.Compliments: The refrigerator died during our stay. The property manager and owner reacted quickly to provide a temporary small frig and had a large replacement frig delivered the next day. It was a pleasure to meet the owners. Very nice and caring people.Recommended Update: It's time to replace the shower. Black mold in the shower pan (caulk). It's not a factor of cleaning. The property is very clean. Starting point is to remove/replace caulk. Probably requires replacing the shower to fully cure the problem.

1. Location - we came to visit Henry Cowell redwoods state park and this little house is 10 minutes drive away. There are also cute cafe shop and former grocery store, a great Japanese restaurant we discovered. Location is 10/10.2. Host welcoming - we received a cutest hand written note to welcome us to their house. 3. Cleanness - the place is meticulously clean and tidy when we arrived.4. Amenities - fully stacked with everything you will need or the stay. Set of towels in each room and full kitchen with everything you can imagine for your stay. 5. Check in instructions - they are in pictures and descriptions! Super easy to follow and full of humor. 6. Extra - The main entrance is through the master bedroom which I wasn’t clear from the description till we get there. 7. Overall - we had a great stay because the hosts care a great deal to provide the best possible for the guests.

A nice stay in this sweet, cozy, clean and quiet rental. The place was nearly perfect for our needs. We loved the peaceful street, the beautiful gardens and cute pets in the yard. Would it have been nice to have access to at least a small part of the yard to relax in? Yes, but the lack of outdoor space was disclosed in the listing. We'd give it a perfect rating but for one thing...This rental really should have some type of AC. It was extremely hot the 2 nights we stayed. One day was over 100 degress and the house stayed hot much of the night even with the fans on, all windows open and temperatures outside cooling way off. Even on the 2nd night with much cooler temps, the house stayed uncomfortably warm. I think because it's over a garage and gets afternoon sun, it's a hard space to cool off. We'd love to return, but maybe will wait for cooler weather or for an AC unit to be installed. Still, even with the heat, we really did enjoy our stay and hope to return.
