This was our very first rental and our guest were super renters. Clear and simple communication between us and help us with our trash schedule to get cans to the street. Would welcome them back and there we had no issues and a pleasant experience for both.

The hosts were great. We're willing to meet us before hand to go over everything with us. Communication was a plus, we had a minor issue and Scott came by instantly to handle. House is Hugh, met every need we had. So many amenities and great location. I will say that VRBO needs to correct their listing as bed linens and towels are not included in rental, but because the owner is on top of things we quickly worked that out prior to arrival.

This place is awesome. Has absolutely everything you could want including a really well equipped pier with jet ski launch and boat lift. Colington is a lovely neighborhood for relaxing away from the crowds but still centrally located close to the beach and shopping. The owners were lovely to communicate with and very helpful. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I always work hard for our guest and for a review. Scarlett and there family were another great example of how well VRBO works. Scarlett and their family are a great family to host and we have extended an invite to return on their next vacation. Great experience for both parties.

Canal heaven!

After years of staying ocean front we decided to try something different and SO glad we did! This house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the beautiful decks to watch our family fish, swim and kayak. We really enjoyed the relaxing and serene landscape! We would definitely stay again in the future.

This House was Amazing!!! We had the best time My children ages 10-25 and we have 5 enjoyed this property so much from kayaking, swiming, fishing, playing in the yard all the things a great neighbourhood. The Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you may need from crockpot to huge seafood pot down stairs this house truly has all you need to relax and reset also its close to town and to the beach so travel and traffic isnt a nightmare.Our host was very friendly and helpful I am coming back for sure and would definitely recomend to any family or group.

Great stay at Colington Harbor

Our family stayed for a week at Garber Harbor. We loved the canal/soundside location - it was a peaceful oasis away from the bustle of Kill Devil Hills. There was always a breeze and plenty of shady spots to sit outside. The downstairs tiki bar was great for evening socializing. We brought our paddleboards and enjoyed poking around the canals and the harbor. Scott met us at the house upon check in to show us around, and was responsive via text the whole week. We'd be happy to come here again!

Great vibes and fun for all

We stayed at Garber's Harbor and it was amazing. The property is beautiful and well kept and the amenities were great. Both the bar area and hot tub area downstairs have such a fun vibe. We went kayaking most evenings with the kayaks they provided AND it was so easy getting in and out with their floating launch. They have a great dock at the house and were very amenable to us bringing our boat down.The home itself is well stocked with cooking items and the grill worked like a dream too. The beds were comfortable and the house has an amazing media system set up.Best of all, our hosts were welcoming and helpful - both before hand and during our stay when we had a minor trailer issue. We would 100% recommend staying there!

Hey next guest...make it a point to meet the homeowner. He does a wonderful job of letting you know the small details on the property. To Scott ...thanks for sharing the house. It was a perfect setup and had all the little things. Enjoyed the kayaks for all 7 of us, borrowed your beach chairs for the beach trip and really appreciated the neighbor fishing hookup. We loved the bar and spent time there playing darts. The favorite for us was the back deck overlooking the dock. The house had all the bits and pieces for our cooking endeavors too. Your checking in along the way was nice. We also liked the recycling center being on the way out so we could drop off our recycling. All to say, I got nothing bad to say. A few minor suggestions I shared but overall an excellent stay. I always say the best review is one where the guests mention they would stay again. Well, we would stay again and just might in the future.

The house was great, perfect for our group. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of space. The owners were attentive, responsive and friendly. They even stopped by when we got there to give us a tour of the house, which was very helpful! The home was well stocked, clean, and peaceful. Great location, plenty of parking. The deck overlooking the harbor was great for sitting and enjoying our morning coffee. Many thanks to Scott and Debbie for letting us use their home.

This isn't simply a vacation rental—it feels like a cherished home, graciously shared with others.The kitchen is well equipped. Whether you're preparing breakfast, an elaborate seafood boil, or a family feast, you'll find absolutely everything you could possibly need.The outdoor spaces were equally extraordinary. The private dock allowed us to soak in the peaceful beauty of Colington Harbor. The kayaks allowed us to explore the tranquil canals and breathtaking scenery from a whole new perspective.The downstairs bar ... WOW! This space completely exceeded our expectations. It became the heart of our family gatherings—a place filled with laughter, storytelling, games, and unforgettable moments.This is the perfect place to experience the Outer Banks. Our family gathered here to celebrate, reconnect, and create new memories that will stay with us. Our only regret is we did not book two weeks. We leave with grateful hearts, already dreaming of the day we can return.

The pictures don’t even do it justice. It’s a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place - a little slice of heaven. There is lots of space, everything you want, need, and more! Although we could have stayed in that one spot the entire week, it’s also conveniently located by a cute coffee shop, amazing restaurants, and all within a short driving distance to all the other things OBX has to offer. Thank you Garber Harbor for helping my family make amazing memories!
