It is a perfect little cottage - for a couple to "get away" and enjoy some R-n-R or take a long walk around the neighborhood, or an even longer hike in one of the many trails in LBL or across either bridge that spans over Lake Barkley, or Kentucky Lake!

Thank you! This really IS the place for a quiet relaxing sit on the deck to look at the fantastic view, or a boat or barge or cruise ship going by! Or, sitting up on the covered patio reading a book, or taking a walk down at the beach, lake side! And I personally want to thank you and appreciate that you guys left the property just as you found it...my cleaners say THANK YOU too!!..... :-)

Susan, I am sorry to hear that the couch was too small for your husband - but yes, it is a 'cottage' sized home, making the LR too small for a full-sized sofa. And regarding the shower, I sure wish you had let me know about the odor coming from the shower - as there are specific instructions on 'how to' avoid this situation in the 'Welcome' book, and that the white 'magnetic' drain cover (that was in the shower bottom, covering the drain when you arrived), needed to remain over the drain after each shower. This especially happens when there are windy days on the lake, and the p-trap under the shower drain dries out - between rentals. So putting that drain cover back over the drain after each shower does eliminate any odors from coming back up the drain, into the shower and bathroom. And yes, I do hope you guys decide to come back and stay with us again soon - and yes, we do certainly plan to address this issue since our new replacement septic tank was installed this past Spring, right before summer rental times.
