Cute n Cozy Apartment Near the Beach!

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space located on the Southeast corner of the Island. Walking distance to the beach and literally right across the street from a lake, this cute n cozy space has everything you need for the solo traveler or a couple looking for a jump off spot to stay in while exploring the entire Island for business or pleasure. Everything that you need to be self contained and comfortable while maintaining a budget with accommodations up to U.S./U.K. standards. Cute, friendly and authentic beach town of Punta Santiago.

The space:
Cute and quaint studio apartment located to the rear of our main home. We are Snowbirds from Montana and generally not around much. You will have privacy and use of the full backyard as well as some other spaces while we are away. wifi, laundry and other additional amenities can be discussed at time of booking. Perfect, affordable spot to use with everything you need either while on vacation, here on business or out looking for your own piece of paradise while watching the budget. Cheers, -Rick & Tammy

If this is your first time to PR, you might be a little nervous about the area directly outside the neighborhood. There are some abandoned buildings with graffiti on them. But the area is very safe. I saw many people jogging or bicycling in this area. The location is great, close to many shopping and dining options and close to highways.

Perfect location for a DIY trip to Puerto Rico

Property is clean, well kept and peefect for those who want a central location to explore san juan, el yunque, and vieques/culebrea. We loved that all of these locations were less than an hour away. Neighborhood felt safe, and the beach less than a mile from the property was very pretty. Loved this place and would definately return

Couple adventures

This place was exactly what we're looking for, clean, quiet it has everything we need it, the host was wonderful a real humbled person, from the time we got there Rick treated us like family, i would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time.

Rick and Tammy are excellent hosts. Location is great, near the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. No issues with parking. Very charming neighborhood. The lodging is charming, beautiful back yard garden. I enjoyed sleeping hearing the coquis. Highly recommended.

Very Nice

Very nice little private spot in an interesting neighborhood. Apartment very clean, fully functional and secure. We did not find the local beaches to be very inviting though.

I loved this little apartment!

I enjoyed my two week stay in Punta Santiago.My days were filled by having coffee in the beautiful backyard, walking to the beach to take pictures, going to the Nature Preserve and talking to the locals about their life in Puerto Rico.This little apartment is fully equipped with everything you will need - although small there is tons of storage.Tammy & Rick were great hosts.

Great hosts

My visit was awesome. Rick and Tammy are excellent folks and it was a pleasure to stay at their place. Excellent weather, dining and activities to be had. The accomodations are perfect for a single or a couple. Great bathroom, kitchen and bed. The back yard is private, nicely decorated and well maintained. The beach is a stones throw. White sandy beach, palm trees, look one way and see island and look inland to see mountains! Just awesome .

Check-in was a little tricky because Google Maps wouldn’t take us to the property, but the host was extremely quick and helpful with getting us checked in and finding the place,he even stayed on the phone with us the whole time as we drove there. We loved walking across the street and around the lake every morning to see the iguanas. The beach that is within walking distance isn’t for swimming at all, but there’s a beach just a few minutes away called tropical beach that was really pretty and we found lots of Seaglass. There are also many other beaches a short drive away. The backyard is so beautiful and it’s nice that the location is within an hour of so many cool places, but if you’re looking for a location that you don’t have to drive, this isn’t it.

Evelyn and her husband were good guests, although she was "somewhat needy" during her reservation. She asked for items such as an iron, additional fresh linens and other amenities throughout her stay despite our Listing being more of an economical property for those looking for a self-contained launch-pad type experience. There is a direct correlation between price, economy and luxury. For her anniversary trip, we think that she would have been more expecting hotel-type accommodations.

Quiet, safe and serene! Verde Mar is right across the street from the ocean and has a lake right in front of our place. The residential setting offers a more authentic, less commercial quality experience.
