January 2019 Stay

The property was quite comfortable, charming and perfectly located for our special visit to the Monterey Bay area. We found the photos did it justice and then some. Having it within walking distance of many fine restaurants and shops made for a great visit. The attention to amenities and decor made it a very wise choice for the rental - specially after looking at so many other properties. Highly recommend this property.

This house and town were great!! The house had everything that we needed. It was clean and very organized. We walked to restaurants and the beach everything was close by. I wish that we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back.

Glorious getaway

Wonderful location, well appointed, very comfortable. Everything you could ask for in your home away from home. Every detail is thoughtfully considered. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking any meal - even Thanksgiving dinner. Plenty of seating for two couples and a 3 year old. Great location for a beach get away. I would definitely stay here again

Great place in a great location!

Although the weather was really bad during our visit, the house was awesome! It was well decorated and well equipped. The furniture was very comfortable. The televisions, entertainment system and internet were great. The yard is very small, but serviceable. The location is terrific. We couldn't have asked for a better rental.

Cutest home in a perfect location

We loved everything about this home — the set up and cleanliness and comfort were unparalleled, and the management of the home superb. They thought of everything — well stocked kitchen for dishes and pots and pans, bathrooms had lots of fluffy towels, fireplace worked to make downstairs cozy. The photos of the home are exactly what we got, and we are so glad we found this sweet respite for a few days away. Great location for excursions to Carmel, Monterey Bay. aquarium, kayaking, and also super comfortable for just relaxing.

Perfect Monterey Peninsula Location

The location is fantastic—close to restaurants and shops downtown, the beach, and the marketS. You can easily walk to Lover's Point in about five minutes.The house is clean and has almost everything you need. The kitchen is well-equipped and comfortable. There are three rooms upstairs, and when my family visited, they were able to stay in each one. Parking space is small and fits only a small sedan, but it’s still very convenient to have. Staying at this house made my time in Monterey comfortable and made it feel like home!

A slice of Heaven in downtown Pacific Grove

The location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, and unique local boutiques. With three bedrooms, it gave us the flexibility to have my mom, sister, and son each join us at different points during our stay without feeling crowded. The neighborhood was peaceful and friendly, yet we were just steps away from all the activity downtown.This home was the perfect base for our trip, and we’d absolutely stay here again. Charming, clean, cute and comfy home in Pacific Grove!

We were thrilled with our choice to rent this home in Pacific Grove. Other than the construction occurring on the street by the driveway which made it challenging when first arriving, everything was spectacular! The home was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. The entire renting experience was super easy and we had no issues at all with the home. There was such a nice greeting card welcoming us to the home along with wine and cheese. The house was very clean and decorated just beautifully. It was so nice that everything was labeled with instructions making it easy for us to use the electronics and fireplace. We were in town for the Big Sur Half Marathon and this home was a perfect location. The race actually ran right by the main street where the house is located off of- which made it perfect for those non-runners in our group that wanted to spectate. The town had such great coffee shops and restaurants and it was so nice just to be able to walk to breakfast, dinner, etc. I would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again. Thanks for making us feel so welcome in your home!

There is much to love about LaGloria

Architecturally, it is quite ingenious. The angles and play of light are captivating, making what is actually a fairly small space feel spacious and interesting. We especially loved and used the fireplace that opened into both the living room and kitchen/dining area. The location was perfect for us. There were many days we did not even get into the car. We were within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a hardware store, the post office, ATMS, an excellent little market, liquor stores, florist, and most importantly, Lovers Point and magnificent pathways along Monterey Bay. We were there during winter and Covid, so things were very quiet. I imagine parking, traffic, and the gas station right next door would be considerations during peak season. We appreciated the furnishings and the many amenities provided. The kitchen had just about everything we could want (except a functioning oven, see below), there were luxurious robes in the closets, escape ladders in the bedrooms, battery operated candles for atmosphere (although we needed to supply our own batteries). We arrived to find ample paper products, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. The washer/dryer on the second floor was a huge plus. The garage offered storage for luggage and overflow like water, wine, TP, paper towels. Now the caveats: while there are two bathrooms, both are on the second floor; there is no mail delivery at the house, which turned into a major hassle because we were there for almost seven weeks over Christmas; we had no oven (the property managers graciously provided a fancy countertop oven, but it not only took up counterspace, but was not efficient for baking); and the windows need work. If these issues are addressed (okay, running upstairs to use the WC was good for our glutes, so we can live with that), we would happily rent this house again.

We apologize once again for the malfunctioning oven and despite our best efforts to find a replacement we were unable to, and hope that at least the countertop oven and the financial compensation were able to offset the frustration. Nice House - But Not So Clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a good location. However, when turning on a lamp, I reached over the end table and saw visible mouse droppings. It was very disconcerting. I then noticed how very dusty and dirty all the baseboard areas were. It was very hard to be comfortable in the house thinking a mouse would come by. The people were responsive in coming over, but did not clean up the droppings at first. Another person came out and put on gloves and picked them up. Why didn't they vacuum and really clean the area? Also, sewage backed up on the front yard the last day of our stay. The house accommodates 6, we were 3 people for most of the week 6 people on the last night. Regular use of the toilets with 6 people apparently too much for the older house.

Everyone had their own room which were very well appointed with bedding, pillows, towels, and portable fans! (Heat advisory) The home is very clean & comfortable. We walked to coffee every morning and enjoyed an easy stroll to the beach. They provided all the beach gear you’d need however we didn’t use it. We will definitely keep this home on our short list for future visits to the Penninsula!

We all slept extremely well; had all (and more) that we could hope for in the kitchen and the house in general. It was a very easy place to stay and super convenient to our favorite restaurants, bookstore, coffee shop, etc.One suggestion would be to think about replacing the “failed” glass in the front door and front windows. The home is perfectly looked after in every other way and its a pity the glass is not up to the same standard.

Amazing stay in Pacific Grove

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is everything we were hoping for on our recent visit to Monterey area. Location was very convenient, and the house was simply immaculate.
