Nice spot for a family trip

Nice location in the center of the outer banks. Good launchpad for exploring the coast. Lovely deck and large space downstairs for grilling and chilling. Great coffee shop in easy walking distance.

Our 1st trip to OBX was made especially great staying at Chillin’. the house is conveniently located - a short walk to the beach; easy access to stores, restaurants and more. Our host thought of everything we could want or need; easy check-in and out. Great for families.

fantastic place to stay and play. must check out the town of duck and the kitty hawk museum. unit is just as advertised. clean, neat, and easy acess to beach.

Perfect in every way

If you are looking for a clean house that is close to the beach AND has an owner that is attentive to your needs, then this is the place for you! If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would.

From the greeting package on we were pleased with our stay!! Harriet stayed in touch if we had any questions. Her info sent us to some great places. The house is just like it looks in the brochure .Very close to shopping and the beach. We will be back..it was a great time!!!

Perfect for our Little Family

We had the BEST time at Chillin!! Super close to the beach, quiet street, and perfect accommodations! The house had everything we needed for a great beach vacation. Beautiful deck, perfect area under the house for our kids to play (they loved all the toys at Chillin), and comfortable bedrooms. We enjoyed the short walk to the coffee shop one block away (Ashley’s), and pizza delivery from Sal’s (amazing!!). The owners made sure we had a comfortable and memorable stay! We will be back!

Awesome week and Amazing host

Chillin is a beautiful beach house in an excellent location. Hariet is an absolute delight to work with and she was so helpful in every way. The house was very clean and it was perfect for our family of 4. The outdoor shower WAS AMAZING! We highly recommend this Beach House and recommend Kill Devil Hills. We have been to OBX before but this was by far our best trip and that was due to the house and the location. There was so many added bonuses in the house and it was a very doable walk for our family with 2 young children. The street was private and quiet and the beach was never crowded. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful

We highly recommend this property! It was just my husband and me, so there was a lot of room. It's minutes walk to the beach, close to all conveniences yet a very quiet neighborhood. The house has everything. The furniture is comfy as well as the bed. We loved sitting in the chairs on the wrap around deck. The outside shower was great. Hariet was a dream to work with, great communication, suggestions with local tips and the knowledge that she was just a text away if needed. Chillin' made our first time to the OBX everything we hoped it could be. It's a great place! Thank you Hariet

Highly recommend!

From beginning to end, Hariet was amazing! Very helpful with suggestions on things to do and she was in communication the whole time. The house was very clean and has everything you could possibly need. I loved the open concept of the kitchen and dining/living rooms. The wrap around porch was awesome! The back portion has sun most of the day. One of my favorite things was the outdoor shower. There is a decent sized back yard. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house is off the main road but you'd never know. I highly recommend staying here and hope to do so again.

Great house that's close to the beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chillin! The owners are very nice and stayed in communication with us throughout the entire process. They even gave us some great tips on things to do while we were in the area. The house is very clean and has almost everything you would need while you are staying there (you just need to bring your own sheets). The beach is literally right around the corner from the house which is great. We especially liked that you can walk to the sound side of the island as well. There is a multi-use path on that side that we used to bike all the way to the Wright Brother's Memorial (about 4 miles). In the evening, we also watched the sunset from that side in a public gazebo that is close to the house. Rent this house. You won't regret it.

Amazing House in Kill Devil Hills

The house, location, and owner were all amazing. Hariet was a joy to work with; so incredibly accommodating and full of local knowledge. Checking in and checking out could not be easier. We loved the wide wrap-around porch, the huge area underneath the house, the bright living area, and the outdoor shower! It's only a very short walk to the beach. There is no parking at the beach access so the beach is uncrowded...remarkably so for such a popular area during the Summer. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone was incredibly nice. Restaurants, grocery stores, and activities are all very close by. This was our first time in KDH, but we can't imagine staying anywhere else. We looked at a lot of properties before choosing this one...we felt so lucky to be in this house the entire time we were there. Thanks Hariet!

Great stay in obx

We were a family of toddlers, adults and a teenager and we all thought the rental was great with many amenities. The house is charming and in a great location and came with pretty much everything you can think of in the kitchen, although I would recommend bringing plastic cups if you have young children since it’s a tile floor. The bedrooms were great and you just need to bring your own linens and towels. There were indoor and outdoor toys for the kids to play with, a great outdoor play area and a grill. We appreciated being able to do our own laundry. The house is really cozy with a lot of outdoor seating and a nice deck. We could get to the beach within minutes and we took advantage of that. Also a great location close to everything. The owner is very nice and gave us recommendations on what to do and was easy to contact when we had questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

Relaxing Week

Nice property just a short walk from the beach. Property was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our party of 3. Restaurants, shopping, and sites were easy to get to. Our hosts were very communicative and provided great suggestions on where to go and what to do. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay

Excellent location - very short walking distance to a beach access that did not allow cars, so there were very few other people. Quiet neighborhood yet close enough to everything we needed. Clean property with a great grilling area and outdoor shower with hot water, and morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for and we can't wait to come back next year!

Great location

This property is in a fantastic location! One block from the beach! The house was the perfect size for my family of 4. My young kids loved playing in the sand pit and we loved having meals outside. Overall a great place for a nice relaxing vacation.

Chillin is an awesome place to stay!

I really liked chillin. It is a clean, comfortable place to stay. It feels like you are right at home. The wrap around deck was awesome!!! Not too far from the beach. The owner was very courteous and helpful to us. The house is stocked with everything that we needed we really didn’t need to take anything but our sheets and towels. I would definitely stay at chillin again. It is an awesome place to stay!!!!

Relaxing

Hariet was a wonderful host. She kept in contact until we arrived, provided lots of info on things to do and places to visit. The house was close to the beach and was exactly how it was described. Great time

We had a great time at Chillin'. Location is great. It's a short walk to the beach and a short drive to most of the area attractions. My kids love the backyard, the toys, and games that were provided for us. We had a great time as a family there. The owner, Hariet, is super nice and gave us a lot of good information about the area. We would definitely stay again.

If you have kids this is the place to be! Harriet was great with info about the area! Really close to the beach and activities!

We are a retired couple who enjoy sharing Chillin’ and helping our guests enjoy the Outer Banks. We have 6 grandchildren, ages 5-15, we named Chillin’ for them😎

We love Chillin’ for its open space, closeness to the beach, the great outdoor space, the quiet neighborhood and proximity to restaurants and grocery stores.

Chillin’ has great outdoor space. Even if the weather is bad, such as rain, there is ample outdoor space to spread out or to have play space for the kids.
