Charmerende velholdt semi-oceanfront sommerhus. Dette hjem blev udpeget i april 2014 som en historisk milepæl i Kill Devil Hills. Det blev bygget og afsluttet i 1955. Huset har nu central varme og luft samt Wifi. Den første ting, der vil fange din interesse er den indbydende verandaen, bare venter på at sidde og se solen komme op på balsamisk morgener på stranden eller nyde den kølige aften brise. Denne klassiske Outer Banks hjem med knudret fyr vægge og lofter er den perfekte familie ferie stedet. Blot en kort gåtur til stranden på tværs af gaden og få skridt fra Avalon Fishing Pier og Awful Arthurs Oyster Bar, som er en lokal favorit. Også, kun en kort køretur putt-putt, biograf, bowling, Wright Memorial Monument og flere butikker og købmand. Dette sommerhus er det perfekte ydre banker tilflugtssted for din familie!

Amazing little cottage. Easy beach access. Host is very informative and very nice. Plenty of shops in walking distance and parking was nice. We fit 3 full size pickups and still had plenty of room to move around and didn't have to worry about being in the road. Also there's a good bit of shops in walking distance so we didn't have to pull the trucks out much.

Glenn and Brenda are the absolute best hosts ever. You will not find another OBX home with such history and personal touches. We have now stayed 3 times and cannot wait to get back there!!!!

This home was a very clean very old lived in property. By old I mean lived in family atmosphere home. Very short walk to a beach. Very quiet beach area with an easy walk to the pier. This was my granddaughter's first vacation and it felt like we were in a family owned cabin on the beach. The owners were in communication with us the whole time making us feel comfortable in the home. If you enjoy a laid back easy vacation with food and the ocean in short walking distance this is your place.

The property has a certain charm as a historic house, with many interesting artifacts and character features that give it a unique atmosphere. The location and size of the accommodation were also positive aspects of our stay.However, our experience was affected by several maintenance and housekeeping concerns. In our observation, the property appeared to be in a somewhat worn condition in a number of areas. For example, several window blinds appeared aged, brittle, and partially damaged. During normal use, one blind malfunctioned, and following that incident we felt uncomfortable operating other similar fixtures for fear of causing further damage.We also found that the overall level of cleanliness did not fully meet our expectations. In addition, a water leak occurred through the living room ceiling during a rainstorm. We reported the issue promptly and provided further information when requested. While we appreciate the host's communication, the issue remained unresolved during our stay, which limited our use of part of the living area.We recognize that maintenance issues can occasionally arise, particularly in older properties. Nevertheless, taken together, the condition of the property and the unresolved issues detracted from the overall experience and did not fully align with the standard we had expected based on the listing.We do appreciate that VRBO reviewed our complaint and ultimately provided partial compensation in recognition of the inconvenience experience

This is a nostalgic place for me and have enjoyed this cottage since I was a child. I am so happy that I now get to share it with my family. This is an amazing location and wonderful property owners. I appreciate everyone involved with this property and would recommend it to anyone who wants a real kill devil hills vacation.

Cute cozy house with beautiful knotty pine wood through out,comfortable furniture. The porch with the rockers was nice too, we spent some time on their rocking and enjoying the roar of the ocean. Supplies are plenty for cooking. The access to the beach was perfect just across the street and down the dunes. The beach was beautiful and not crowded.

I loved the property! Old school charm, close beach access and cozy. There was kitchen supplies to cook meals, extra supplies if needed. There is also an outside shower to get the sand off! Recommended to those who enjoy the slow down of this hustle and bustle lifestyle.

Perfectly Situated

The White House was the right size and very close to beach and pier access. It was so easy to come and go from the beach at all times of the day. The inside was cozy and comfortable and many quiet hours were also spent in the shade of the porch enjoying the breeze.

Charming OBX Cottage

We had a great time at the White Cottage. Loved the rustic charm, reminded me of my grandmother's cottage as a child. Excellent location to the beach and kitchen fully stocked to prepare meals. Check with host you may need to bring towels and linens, which was not a problem for us. Great location and comfortable!

Family Vacay 2025

Great location! The beach access is across the street and loved being so close to Awful Arthur’s and the fishing pier. The cottage is cute with lots of history. We used the porch rockers every morning. All 3 beds are full sized and comfortable. Kitchen and supplies are well stocked. Thank you to the White family for sharing your family beach cottage.

The Whitehouse

My wife and I rented this cottage almost 40 years ago. I am thankful for the chance to rent it again. I love the history of the cottage and the beach access across the street is awesome as well.

Cozy and Comfy

My sister, her friend and her daughter and I stayed in this quaint little cottage. The knotty pine walls throughout gave this historic house a great vibe. The path to the beach was across the road was an easy ascent and decent. Restaurants and other shopping are minutes away. The porch and rocking chairs were great for a late night star gazing. It is well equipped for your needs. The owner was fast at answering email when we had a small problem. We had a very relaxing time.

Another great stay at the White House

One of the many reasons we continue to adore this location is the flexibility and attention of its owner, Glenn White. Mr. White is responsive and genuinely concerned about the quality of time experienced by those who select his home. The location is magnificent and the charm of his place unsurpassed by those who appreciate what it has to offer. We look forward to returning.
