Clean and beautiful, great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed this home! Very clean and such a great location! The manatees were residents at our dock, fishing, boating, swimming and soaking it all in! Thanks for a great spot to experience the Keys!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home. They had everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen was fully stocked more than any other home we’ve rented. There is nothing you will need to bring with you. The home was clean and so comfortable too. The living room furniture with the recliner chair and sofa made a world of difference for relaxing and watching tv or reading a book. The pool was so nice and a perfect temperature. We loved the almost daily visits from the manatees in the canal. We rode our bikes every day up and down the island. Did a little fishing off the dock and grilled spiny lobsters on the grill. There is a great bike/walking trail you can pick up right across the street. Shopping is fun, they have nice dress boutiques, home decor and the restaurants and two brewery’s are top notch. The hosts of the home were amazing and super responsive and helpful. You will not be sorry booking this home. It’s a must!

Everything You Need!

This property was exactly as identified in the VRBO description. Bedrooms were very comfortable, living and dining rooms were large with room for our guests to join us for dinner. The hosts provide absolutely everything you need—from kitchen gadgets to soap, shampoo, and most anything else you might need. The best part of the property was the pool that was heated perfectly each day depending on the current weather. We enjoyed watching the manatees in the canal and the other wildlife in and around the water. The host was very gracious and responded quickly to our questions. We enjoyed the property and hope to be able to return one day (hopefully next time WITHOUT a broken neck!)

Nice house and beautiful area

All through the process of booking our two month stay along with arrival was an excellent experience. The owners John and Robin went above an beyond to welcome us along with giving us many recommendations which is listed in a book upon arrival. The house is on a canal that is about 5 houses down from the ocean. We were able to take out kayaks and paddle boards from their dock to the ocean. At the house dock the manatees come and visit weekly and we caught 7 red snapper fish from their dock. We stayed from February to end of March and the weather was beautiful. I highly recommend this house and all its amenities. Vicki

Lovely House, Great for 2 Couples or Family

Pros: Beautiful house, best on the street. Amazing, Incredibly responsive hosts -- immediately addressed problems (even after one issue went away, they still sent someone to be sure) and super communication. Best stocked house EVER. Not only everything we could need or want but also tons of spices, sugar, coffee etc. even some vodka -- great "toys" too (bikes and kayaks even though we didn't use) Great wifi Easy canal in & out of ocean (we rented a boat for our stay and it was SO EASY) Obviously recently renovated and beautiful bathrooms / hard wood floors Quiet -- when many houses in Islamorada are closer to main highway and traffic noise Great outdoor spaces, upstairs coffee deck, main level cocktails deck, downstairs outside eating comfortably fit larger group for daytime hanging / eating / etc EXCEPT for sleeping (more on that below) Perfect location to great restaurants and bars and many options -- this in our opinion is the best section of Islamorada and the best part of the Keys! And owners gave GREAT recommendations! Fresh lobster down the street! Occasional Manatee off the dock! Cons / Really Wish We'd Known or someone else had mentioned to us: Third downstairs "bedroom" really only suitable for kids in our opinion. It has three twin beds but no bathroom -- so when we had two middle-aged couples to visit, one couple lived like kings in the gorgeous main floor "second master bedroom", the other couple drew the short straw in the lower level (they called it the dungeon) where they had to make their way upstairs in the middle of the night to pee. We mistakenly thought both guest bedrooms were somehow next to one another with a shared bathroom between them (description didn't clarify no bathroom for the third guest bedroom / on a different floor). If you have kids and/or only two adult couples staying then you are set!! Three couples were an issue (for us). No door to 3rd floor upstairs master made it rather loud upstairs as a result. Remote working, one of us had to go to the lower level and the other on top level for Zoom calls because you can hear everything on top floor without a door to close. No sun on pool area as someone else in reviews noted, but we were there to work, so not a big deal. Few other minor issues but immediately resolved. House overall was lovely and we'd recommend for a couple or family with kids who can bunk in lower level. Thanks!!

Awesome location, pool, house and amenities.

We stayed here 2 weeks, late April 2022. Very comfortable, clean home in a great location for fishing, diving, and snorkeling at alligator reef. Dock and Ocean access is incredible. Owners are very responsive and helpful. Would love to come back.

Escaping the cold!

The home is both well appointed and clean. The pool is perfect for cooling off and offers great shade in the afternoons. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, grill was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable and the living room has plenty of comfortable seating. The porch off the kitchen is a great spot for evening cocktail. The dock was perfect for a 28 foot boat. Overall great spot and fairly close to everything! We hope to rent here again!

Amazing Vacation

My husband and I vacationed here with our two kids and our friends and their kids. It was an amazing place to stay! Close to island fun and the location of the house was on a quiet street where you could easily relax. Enough room for us to spread out and the pool was a hit with our kids! We will definitely be back. The hosts were amazing reaching out to us during our stay to make sure everything was going well! Highly recommend this amazing island retreat for your keys vacation!

Incredible Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It’s quite large. Plenty of room for our group of 6. I liked the location of the home. Lower Matecumbe Key isn’t as busy as other keys and we liked that. The landscaping around the home was incredible. I also enjoyed that the pool was shaded in the afternoon. The sun is so intense that you could enjoy the sun all late morning/early afternoon but didn’t have to worry about getting burned all afternoon or having to reapply sunscreen. Like other reviewers we thought the beds were very comfortable. There were nice fishing poles in the garage. Pool noodles, dive sticks, water ball, air pump too. We had a manatee come for a visit. You can catch small snappers in the canal. I would definitely rent this house again!

Amazing Property

We were celebrating my husbands 40th. Everything about this property was great. So very clean and well appointed. Close to everything in Islamorada. We had such a great time we will be back again.

Relaxing Islamorada Stay

Had a great week with Grandma, Papa, and our 2 kids (6 & 8). Pool was warm and shaded so plenty of all day swimming without tons of sunscreen. All the comforts of home ammeneties readily available and the porches were made for coffee/cocktails. Very quiet neighborhood but nightlife and great food options 5 minute drive away. Thanks for a awesome stay!

We spent xmas and new years in this beautiful property, the house was amazing , well equipped with everything u could think u needed ! The views were amazing , the pool , the landscaping, everything was perfect ! John & Robin were wonderful hosts , check in on us and were very helpful and nice ! Fantastic Experience

We stayed in John & Robin's wonderful home the first week of January and we highly recommend it. We have stayed in vacation rentals for about 15 years now in the US and elsewhere, and we honestly felt that this was our best experience yet. The home is tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, has modern appointments while maintaining it's Florida beach home charm, and has everything you need to enjoy your stay completely. John and Robin were easy to reach and very friendly. They had helpful recommendations about the house and the area and answered our questions almost immediately. They were obviously interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. John provided us with all kinds of recommendations on things to do in the Keys, and in Miami. The home sits on a channel and a lovely, safe and quiet street, about a half block from the ocean. The pool is brand new, fairly large and heated. Beds are very comfortable, and with living space on three levels, it offers a lot of privacy if you need it. We loved the spacious balconies overlooking the channel and pool, with Adirondack chairs to relax in. We also LOVED the fab porch swing chair on the pool level. There was even a commercial ice machine in the garage! The owners offered three kayaks, bikes, and other toys to enjoy with family or friends. We used the kayaks one day and we were out on the ocean in two minutes - beautiful! The home was spotless, and the kitchen well appointed with all we needed to cook and enjoy dinner on the patio by the pool. There are fish markets galore in the area, so on a number of days we picked up fresh fish or seafood and cooked at the house. The patio had very comfortable seating and tables, along with a gas grill that we used one night. All of the furnishings, inside and out, were high quality. Manatees swam up to the pier on a couple of occasions while we were there. We enjoyed walks in the early evenings as there is a nice long trail about a block away. Stores and restaurants are minutes away, including a couple of nice venues where you can have cocktails and watch the sunset from the beach. We hated leaving and would return to this amazing home in a heartbeat!

Great location house w pool and dock....

Family of 5 had space and ability to spread out and come and go throughout the week from boat or car and do all the things we planned from this beautiful house and well placed location from all our plans north and south in the keys. Highly recommend it! We will return again some time....

Fantastic Week

Beautiful, clean, excellent spot. Short paddle down canal to ocean. Manatees in canal every day. Nice place to dock boat. Nice pool. Very helpful owners. Really felt like home away from home. Only complaint is not enough sun at pool — prob b/c time of year — but I guess you can’t move the sun!
