Enjoy nature's bounty at beautiful Lake Barkley, Ky. Boating, kayaking, fishing, hunting, hiking, bike trails, golfing, horse riding and birding are just some of the activities to experience. Family oriented and pet friendly. Cozy and comfortable like a cabin, with 3 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa, can sleep 8- 9 people. Large dine in kitchen with all new appliances and unique hand built design. Ours is a newly renovated lake house near one of Kentucky's treasured state parks. Launch your boat at a ramp less than a mile away. Only minutes away from restaurants, antique shops, music and theatre venues. Historical sights include distilleries/breweries, taverns and museums. Less than an hour from Ft. Campbell, Ky, home of the 101st Airborne. Just over an hour to America's Music City, Nashville, TN.
Nestled in and older, quiet neighborhood, the property also has two security cameras on site. One views front yard, drive entrance and front door. The second one views backyard and back door.

Very clean! Had games, had a lot of stuff that we had forgotten to bring with us, which was great! Host was very quick to respond to messages and great with communication and ideas of things to do nearby! Would definitely recommend.

Great, cozy getaway!

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean, cozy, and the perfect location for a quiet few days away. Celia was very clear and prompt with her communication. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for a stay in the area!

Beautiful home in Cadiz just a walk away from Lake Barkley. House was cozy and complete with all kitchen accessories and modern appliances! I loved all the special touches from the owners. Super cute! My family would stay here again!

Perfect weekend getaway

Celia was the best host you could ask for, very nice and personable. This property was perfect for our weekend of fishing, very nice accommodations. I will definitely contact Celia about staying here in the future.

Great cabin!!!

We enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with how clean and cozy everything was. The owners were so easy to get in touch with! One of our favorite things was how quiet the neighborhood was and how many different types of wildlife we got to see while there. Beautiful!!!

KY Vacation

This is a beautiful property. My family enjoyed making s'mores at the fire pit and hanging out on the deck. Inside the open floor plan was wonderful and the kitchen was fully set to cook. The property was convenient to the marina, lake, and Cadiz. If our travels bring us back to Lake Barkley we hope to stay here again.

Quiet

The property is located with the lake a short wy walk through the woods. The neighbors were friendly and the owner was quick to respond with questions. The deck is a great place to hang out and enjoy a game of darts, eat, and take in the quiet. Lake barkley Beach access is 15 minutes away. Great place

Cozy Stay

Great place to stay. Lots of little details. The owner really thought of everything. There is a full binder and folder with plenty of information and flyers for the surrounding area. Our kids were excited to see deer within yards of the cabin. Unfortunately, the storms hit during our second day and we lost power, but the owners opened their personal barn to let me park my truck inside so it wouldn't get damaged. They also checked on us the next day. I highly recommend this location if you are visiting the area. We are happy to stay there again the next time we visit the area.

Very clean and cozy

Nice little getaway. Close to the lake but not right on it. Love the porch and outdoor seating. The cabin was equipped with nice pans, utensils and dishes. We brought must of our own paper products but the owner also had extra toilet paper, paper towels, and other bonuses like cleaning products, few bottles of water, tea and coffee. Made the stay very nice. Loved the coffee bar area as well. Lots of seating options in living space. Everything was clean. The loft area with the the twin beds were very nice. Would stay here again!

So relaxing

The place looks just as listed. Easy access. Plenty of parking (and we had a boat). The decor was very relaxing and comfortable. Love that it is pet friendly. Plenty of room inside and out. We were very glad that there were ceiling fans on the covered deck. Also ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room. We did not have any children with us but we saw several accommodations for those with kids, from books and games to a pack-and-play crib. Definitely a very nice stay for our family.

Beautiful cabin close to Lake

The house is amazing! We couldn’t have picked a better place. It had had everything we needed and more. Pictures didn’t do it justice. Comfortable, spacious and very clean. After spending the day at the lake, we grilled out burgers and spent the evening out on the porch with an amazing view. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with towels for everyone to take showers. ( 4 adults and kids) The kitchen had everything needed for any occasion. Very impressed with the games and books provided for the kids. Celia provided a folder with information of good places to go or do in the area, as we are hopeful to come back. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very clean and quiet (stayed with young kids)

The house was great. Very clean. The neighborhood is clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of wildlife. Not far from Lake Barkley, which was wonderful. We were able to attend a community event there. The home had every amenity we could possibly need to make us feel at home. The coffee and tea bar is a cute touch that we just loved. It was a rather warm weekend so the air conditioning was much appreciated and worked great. We really enjoyed the patio for almost everything from naps, to dinner and playing games with our family. The linens smelled amazing. The only negatives we experienced were the shower needs some attention because it would only half turn on when put in shower mode, part of the pressure was still coming from the faucet spout. The firepit furniture wasn’t the most comfortable to myself but we were happy to have and use the pit anyway. Our kids didn’t seem to mind one but. They enjoyed exploring the woods and playing with the available games in the home. They were able to watch TV at night when winding down. The apps did need updates that we weren’t able to do so they couldn’t watch all their apps but Tubi and YouTube worked fine for us.

My husband, Rusty and I have lived in Kentucky for almost 40 years. After he served in the Army at Ft. Campbell, we raised our 3 children here. We now have 10 grandchildren! We moved to Cadiz 7 years ago and live on Lake Barkley. When we acquired the property, (we needed the large pole barn for storage), the little house was a very run down, old fish camp. We knew we had to turn it into a fun little rental with a "lake cabin" feel, so that more people could enjoy the beauty of the Land Between the Lakes just as we do. We enjoy hiking the trails, kayaking and boating and fishing here. The many species of birds and animals that live around the lake provide even more natural beauty to view.
We learned a lot during the renovation because we did most of the finishing work ourselves. Rusty made all the barn doors and I did the tile work in the bathroom. You could say it was a labor of love to add our own personal touches. We are excited to share it with you and we really hope you will enjoy your stay.
