We enjoyed our stay at Thunder Ridge Lodge very much. The cabin is beautiful and is very well appointed. The owners are very attentive and truly want to make your stay a great one.The cabin is spotless, obviously well taken care of. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck and the rocking chairs and view on the front deck.We hope to be repeat customers!

The hosts were amazingly wonderful and welcoming. Chris and Maria made our trip feel like home! The house is absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. So much warmth inside and out. The hot tub was refreshing and the cabin had everything you need and more. It was spotless clean and I am a clean freak and was so impressed. Chris gave us great food choices and antique shopping options. We made new friends and we will definitely be back very soon!! I give them an 11!!!!

Chris and Maria are amazing hosts. The cleanest cabin with an AMAZING VIEW of Mt Yonah! Very close to Helen and other cities and waterfalls. The listing is accurate, the photos are true and not AI generated or photoshopped. Check-in was quick, easy. The cabin is very private, extremely clean and equipped for 1-4 guests. They gave us recommendations on what to see, do and experience. They even left a handwritten note and some snacks for us to enjoy. Hot tub is private and covered. Fire pit is very nice with great seating and there is also a covered picnic area. Ample wood was provided. There are many sitting areas around the decks. Check out was also easy. Best hosts I have ever encountered, even checking in throughout our visit to make sure we have what we need and always welcoming us to enjoy the amenities for the property. -Heather & Adam

If we could give more than all 5 stars, we definitely would for our experience at ThunderRidge Lodge! We have stayed in many short term rentals over the years and this has by far been our best experience. The house was very comfortable with cute cabiny deco. We did not lack for anything. Our stay there was very short so we weren't able to experience the very clean and inviting hot tub or use the fire pit in the well groomed side yard. We had several chats with Chris before and during our stay....for which we enjoyed and appreciated all the details he provided to ensure our stay was superior. We highly recommend Chris and Maria's property!! We will be back.

Amazing property! Super clean, very private and quiet, with the most incredible view of the mountains. There's tons of space both inside the cabin and outside - as well as the awesome hot tub, there's a fire pit area, swing overlooking the mountain view (my favorite) and plenty of parking space.We love being in nature, but we especially love being in nature in comfort LOL and this place was perfect! Chris, the owner, was very helpful and made sure we had the best stay - the cabin has everything you need, just bring your toothbrush and swimming trunks :)It's a short drive (8 miles) to visit Helen, and Cleveland is only a couple of miles away, on a very pretty road, to get your groceries, so super convenient too.Looking forward to our next stay!

BEAUTIFUL! pictures can be deceiving but Not here. This cabin is Better than pictured.Thunder Ridge has an amazing view of Yonah Mt, Super clean, lots of thoughtful items for most every need. Great kitchen and comfy bedding. Snacks, coffee and wine were appreciated! There is a lovely swing to enjoy your view, a pavilion and fire pit with everything needed and a hot tub! The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay perfect, we haven’t had any that communicate as well as these. Do yourself a favor, Stay Here!

Great stay! Cabin was beautiful and in the perfect location! Host was very easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. We visited all the nearby towns and had plenty to do. We hiked up Mount Yonah too! So much to do even if you just want to stay at the cabin. Hot tub was nice and super clean. There is a fire pit with a covered area and picnic table! There is horseshoes and several board games as well. The host maintains this property themselves so all the little details are thought of! One of my favorite things was waking up to see Mount Yonah right out the bedroom window! All the people we encountered were so nice and we did not have one bad meal the entire time we were there! The house provides restaurant recommendations and I would definitely take them up on that! We tried every single one and didn’t have a bad meal. Honorable mentions are the Tipsy Tomato in Cleveland and Habersham’s winery! Ol’ Clyde‘s Tavern was especially incredible too!! Overall, we had one of the best trips and would definitely come here over Gatlinburg any day! The mountains are incredibly pristine and really give you that Smoky Mountain feel! Chris & Maria have really outdone themselves with their cabin!If I had any complaint, it would be that the perimeter lights cannot be shut off so you cannot see the stars at night BUT I will say it makes total sense to keep them on to deter any kind of unwanted guest, so it’s not really a complaint .

The cabin & grounds were neat and clean. It is a beautiful cabin. We loved the view. The location of the cabin was perfect and so close to a variety of things. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the fire pit due to high winds every evening.

The cabin and the grounds were top notch! All I was hoping for and then some. Super clean and great atmosphere! The view of Mt Yonah was stunning! The hosts were friendly and very helpful, gave me some great suggestions for my trip and were there for me for whatever I needed. I would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

The hosts absolutely made this trip worth while. The property, the cabin, the stay: all beyond expectations. From the grounds to the cabin to the hot tub, everything clean and in working order.

Thunder Ridge Lodge has an awesome view of Mt. Yonah! The setting offers total peace, privacy, and seclusion—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was kind and responsive, making everything easy from check-in to check-out. The cabin was spotless, with a comfortable, high-quality bed that made for restful nights. The hot tub was a highlight, especially in the evening while looking out at the mountain view. A beautiful, quiet escape that I’d definitely recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful mountain retreat.

We had such a lovely stay at Chris and Maria’s cabin. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful they are as hosts. The cabin was cozy, welcoming, and exceptionally clean, a perfect place to relax. Chris and Maria were very attentive and responsive, and their personal touches made us feel right at home. They also shared wonderful recommendations for the area that we really enjoyed. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The place was so beautiful and peaceful. My family had a resent loss and this home was what we really needed to heal from it. My husband and I are planning on going back as much as we can. The owners were very informative about places to go to and things to do. They made us feel like family.

Relaxing retreat

Our family spent a few night at Thunder Ridge. it was rainy weather and we still enjoyed our time and loved the cabin. Owners were nice and recommended where to eat, etc. we would go back to stay longer. The VanWey’s

A hidden piece of paradise!

We cannot say enough about how awesome this cabin was! We rent cabins quite frequently and this one was by far the absolute best. We loved the view of Mt. Yonah, the perfect fire pit, the hot tub, the awesome king sized bed and luxury linens, and most of all the stellar hosts who paid meticulous detail to ensure we had an amazing stay! We cannot wait until our next stay!

Perfect mountain getaway

Cabin was as advertised: great location, impeccably clean and very comfortable. The view of Yonah mountain did not disappoint. Perfect place for rest and relaxation complimented by hiking and wine tasting. Host was most accommodating. Will return.
