The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors! Make new friends over a meal at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls.
But Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit thrives in Hawthorne, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.
If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 176-acre city park on an extinct volcanic cinder cone. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty in the Hawthorne/Buckman District!
