Thank you for your review Jennifer. I found Jennifer very easy to work with and would definitely welcome her and her family back. It is very important to me that my guests have a very comfortable stay. I really do wish that I could upgrade the air conditioning situation. But short of a major remodel: It's just not possible. I have definitely looked into it. I do agree that the location is perfect to visit all of the area's offerings. As for the laundry situation: after having numerous people abuse the free situation, watching them bring in trash bags full of dirty laundry and run the machines for many hours during their stay: I felt it only fair to move to a pay per load. It's definitely an extra: that anyone would also pay extra for in a corporate Hotel or Motel. When calculating each of the costs involve with supplies and utilities: it does come to about $5. per load. And if we add wear and tear on the expensive equipment it's a fair price, far lower than a laundry mat. I hope that brings some understanding for the reasoning.

The added fee for the laundry is clearly stated in the ad. This is to cover the cost of the supplies. The amenity was being abused hence we moved to a per use fee base. I totally recycle and process all of the trash myself. It is out of utter respect for the earth and an attempt to preserve the planet and minimize waste. You clearly are accustom to different habits. Why would I make a false accusation on the pull chain? The chain was new last fall and the fob was broken off and found on the floor. I didn't feel it unreasonable to ask for compensation. The effort to be compensated far out ways the costs in this instance.

Cameras are definitely listed in the listing as it is the law. The cameras are strictly exterior as is typical in this type of establishment. The listing has never had a complaint about there being two units. However I have updated this information to the main about section. Of course you did not have access to their part of the house, nor did they have access to yours. They had actually planned on site seeing as they are visiting from France. The house behind is one story, the window is a textured leaded glass that can not be seen through AND it’s approximately 56-60” off the floor, so above my shoulder standing in the tub. I’m sorry that you read short and snippy into my texts. I had just received news of my brother’s suicide and was not doing well or seeing clearly. I asked about the towels, but made no accusations. You asked about trash management shortly after arriving at which time I saw a man hauling extra large trash bags out to the lawn. You could have corrected me and kindly explained that you were not hauling out trash. I really appreciated your trash sort for recycling! And in spite of the massive amount of sand EVERYWHERE I smiled and was happy for you and the memories you made with your loved ones. I never asked for additional fees for the additional work. I specifically apologized for my errors. You wanted a refund and threatened this review when I declined. Your review is retaliatory.
