Loved this home! So peaceful and a perfect place to come back and relax in after checking out local spots and Mesa Verde. We had everything we needed there and anything we wanted was just a short drive to town.

It was such a great stay for our whole family. The kids loved the whole property and we enjoyed the peace of the location. We would definitely stay here again — the master bedroom mattress was a little hard for my taste but that was our only critique! We loved it!

Beautiful property! The basement area is undersold with not enough pics. Such a great spot for older kids to have their own space. The portable ac unit was much appreciated in the primary bedroom! So many deer and wild turkey. Great spot with a beautiful drive to Durango or Bayfield. Great communication when small questions arose. Thank you!

Perfect for a mountain getaway! Not far from the lake or from Durango, but the tranquility and wildlife were breathtaking!

The cabin was comfortable even in July with no A/C. I was worried it would be too hot (being from DFW) but there is a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom if you need to cool it down and the lower level rooms are naturally cooler than the rest of the house. My family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out, the kitchen has all the basic essentials, and then some. The cabin was clean and while the drive up is 1.5 miles of dirt/gravel, we had no trouble finding it using google maps. The expansive deck is amazing, and our family enjoyed the views of wildlife and the daily visits from a sweet kitty. The neighborhood is quiet and just what my family needed, we really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this cabin if visiting the area.

Peaceful and beautiful

Our family had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous cabin. The weather was beautiful and the huge porch offered the perfect place to enjoy it as we read, played games, and watched wildlife walk through the property daily. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome

This was a beautiful, immaculate house . Very relaxing, somany places to see in the surrounding areas. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. The host was very responsive, easy check in and out.

This lovely property is only a 20 minute drive from Bayfield. Other's have mentioned the roads being a little rough, but we had no problems with our SUV. However, the road to the property has several somewhat steep switchbacks which may seem a little intimidating if you come from "flat" country. You are definitely in the mountains so make sure you know where you're going before driving anywhere in case you lose cell coverage. The property was clean and fully stocked and was VERY cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood cat will come visit you and is very sweet. We got to watch a flock of turkeys walk through the property every morning and there are deer everywhere. Our party had a wonderful time and we will definitely book this place again.

Nice house with great location for wildlife. The road up to the house was a long, unpaved road. The house was well equipped with all of the basic needs.

Mountain Getaway

It is quite a drive to the top, but it is very worth it. This is a beautiful home with tons of space and huge bedrooms. Our kids loved the air hockey and foosball tables downstairs as well as the deer and turkeys outside. We would 100% stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay. Home was in impeccable condition, and great for our family gathering. Loved the downstairs game room area, the wraparound decks, and the local wildlife (wild turkey, deer, etc.). Somewhat lengthy gravel road access (well maintained road) should be noted for those with motorcycle only transport. We trailered our bikes, so no issue for us. Thank you!

Relaxing in the mountains

Hubby and I drove up from Dallas area for a break from heat and enjoy mountains before I had to have surgery. This home was so reasonably priced and loved the wrap around porch where we could enjoy nature. More room than we needed as home is very spacious but amazing. Even had access to a. 3 car garage to park our car securely at night.

Nice house

Clean home up in the mountains. The 17 years olds had fun with the ping pong and foosball tables. - Nice surprise since they are not pictured. There are no pictures of the third bedroom with two beds - but they were the most comfy beds in the house. The three car garage was nice. The closets are huge. Lots of deck space.

Beautiful home away from home

This rental was one of the best we have stayed at of the many we've rented through VRBO. The home is beautiful and has everything you would need to feel at home. Perfect for families with young children or teens, with the many amenities allowed for use. The host was very friendly, answered questions promptly, and even allowed us to check in a little earlier. Communication was prompt and the listing was accurate. The home is a bit far out from the main road that leads to town. It is in a neighborhood, though feels as though it’s in the wilderness. We saw wild turkeys and deer. We would definitely stay here again if we were not commuting on motorcycles. We came for the Four Corners Motorcycle rally. There are multiple turns on very rough, not well-maintained gravel roads causing the commute to be dangerous for motorcyclists. We would definitely stay here again for a vacation non motorcycle related. Thank you to our host for sharing your beautiful home and for being so helpful!

Christmas Vacation

We overall loved the location and the house. It is pretty high up but still a great view. We got snow Christmas morning which was beautiful. The house had all amenities we needed in the kitchen. Pots, pans, utensils, coffee pot and even basic kitchen necessities like salt and pepper, coffee, creamer, and more. The only thing to note was the couches are a little outdated and not very comfy and the fireplace is not usable which is one of the reasons we were wanting to book there. Also, we bought a Christmas tree and left it there for future use but it would’ve been nice if it was an option to have since it was Christmas week. The internet is not great either but it was okay. Oven was dirty when we arrived and we notified the host. All minor things but we still enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy, our stay was fun. Our kids had a blast. There are some sleds in the garage that kids got to use and the games downstairs were a plus. Lots of room for a family of 6 and our grandson who is 1. The neighbor came over as we were leaving and was clearing the road and our driveway with his snowplow. Real nice guy. Also a very friendly cat who is probably the neighbors since it had a collar. We’d definitely come back here.

Clean and well provisioned. Location was challenging. GPS cell coverage if available was unreliable making it very difficult to find the property. We had to be be pretty close before GPS navigation worked.
