Academy Place | Larkspur

Academy Place Larkspur is the south end townhome located in the multiplex building around the Academy Place Courtyard. Academy Place is located just a few short blocks from the central downtown area of Crested Butte, with easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, hikes, grocery stores, entertainment, and more. Larkspur boasts fantastic views of Mt. Crested Butte to the east, and from the private rooftop patio gorgeous views to the south and west as well.

Upon entry, Larkspur has a living/dining space with a large television, counter space for additional seating, and powder room. Opposite the entry, Larkspur boasts a fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances and cookware, including a large refrigerator, espresso machine, drip coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, wine fridge, and dual-sided sink. The counter space is ample for your cooking needs, and the kitchen is stocked with cookware such as pots, pans, dishes, large bowls, etc. Upstairs, the primary suite has a large king bed with views of Mt. Crested Butte, a walk-in closet, and an expansive bathroom featuring a soaking tub and a steam shower. One more floor upstairs is the rooftop patio, with a gorgeous view of both East to Mt. Crested Butte and West towards Red Lady. The patio has a private hot tub, grill, and furnishings. The rooftop patio is alongside the patio of Wild Iris, but both are private and have their own hot tubs.

Compared to other Academy Place units, Larkspur is very similar to Marsh Marigold and Wild Iris, with the same layouts. The difference is that Larkspur is the end unit, meaning that it has south facing windows and has only one neighbor with a shared wall. Because it is a townhome unit, it has superb views that the cottages aren’t able to see. The main things to note there are that the cottages do have an additional bathroom and the building is to yourself, while Larkspur and the other townhomes share a larger building and have ideal views. Preferences between the types of units differ by person, and you truly cannot go wrong as all of them are wonderful places to stay.
