Year number 5 and we'll be back again next year! I finally got to meet Matt in person, he's the BEST host and we love staying at his place. It's always very clean, great location and perfect accommodations. We'll see you next year!

This was a last minute booking and we hit the jackpot with an unexpected opening with this rental. Super close to the sandy beach. The place had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. Lots of cool places nearby to check out that are walking distance or we were able to take the summer trolley on the weekends. Would love to come and stay at Matt’s again!

Place was so close to the beach you can hear the waves crashing. Very convenient spot to shops. Rode our bikes and walked everywhere. Matt the host was very nice, and always available if we needed anything. Would stay again.

This was our second stay as a family of 5. It had everything we needed and is walking distance from all of our favorite shops and restaurants. We will be back next year!

Fantastic location, literally 30 second walk to the beach. Property was clean & exactly as advertised. Communication was great from Matt, including solving an issue accessing the property immediately which was much appreciated. Would recommend & hope to return again!

This is the perfect beach house for my family. We come every couple of years to come and relax before I start my job back up as at teacher. The property is clean and perfect for us. My dad grew up in LA area and then moved to Utah. He always missed the beaches. He recently passed and I love coming to Newport to be a little closer to my dad. Thanks Matt for sharing your house so I can create memories with my family.

This is a tremendous review that reminds me of so many of the aspects of my property that sometimes get overshadowed by the day-to-day management of the apartment. The memories that we and our families make are truly the most valuable part of this place. We highly recommend this property. It is close to everything with easy access to the beach. The host is friendly, professional, and very responsive. We felt at home all week.

Tranquil Beach Stay

Fabulous beach house!

You absolutely cannot beat the location of Matt’s house. Super easy to walk to the beach or along the harbor. Plus the house is cozy and met all our needs. Wonderful stay!

The place was just like the picture. Short walk to the beach and you could hear the ocean from the bedroom. Matt was great, first time the host actually checked up and made sure everything was okay. Definitely would recommend the stay.

Great apartment and location, super communicative host

Loved our stay. Matt was so helpful and accommodating. Literally 50 steps from the beach, and we loved the beautiful rooftop deck.

Best deck and location. One house to the beach. An older property, but priced accordingly. Very gracious host. You cannot beat the Balboa Peninsula!

You are correct that the deck is the best and the location is unbeatable! It sounds like you had a wonderful stay. The property is indeed old (build in 1959) but, since I acquired the property, I have done quite a bit to upgrade it for my guests. The apartment features remodeled bathroom and kitchen, new appliances, new windows, new paint both inside and out, a new deck, and lots of other upgrades. I look forward to having you back!
