Villa Aiale is a luxury retreat set within the Castelnuovo Tancredi Estate — 600 private hectares in the hills between Siena and Montalcino, Tuscany. Space for 14 guests, every bedroom with its own private en-suite bathroom, and air conditioning throughout the entire villa — not just the bedrooms.

THE VILLA
The heart of the house is a 100 m² living and dining space, transformed from a historic horse stable — stone arches, soaring ceilings, fully equipped kitchen and bar. Handcrafted interiors, premium bedding, and designer furnishings throughout.

Fantastic stay. The service was spot on — breakfast every morning, house always spotless, staff genuinely helpful without being over the top. The estate itself is stunning, and the wine tasting was a real highlight. Highly recommend.

We booked last minute from Florence — three days, fourteen people, no real plan. Violante sorted everything: dinners, a wine tasting, all of it organized on short notice.The estate is beautiful and the location is perfect for the area — Montalcino, Pienza, all of it within easy reach. The villa is perfect: large bedrooms and bathrooms with giant showers. Furnished with extreme taste. Fantastic living room, romantic fireplace, and excellent service—a hidden gem. I come to Italy often, but a place this special is not a given. You can see that there are five generations of extraordinary people behind it who have shaped the history of this country. If you can, ask them to tell you their family history. It's worth everything.

We spent three wonderful days at Villa Aiale in March, and the stay was truly special even in the off-season. The house was warm and welcoming, and evenings by the fireplace made the atmosphere incredibly cozy.During the day we loved walking through the woods and the estate paths, discovering the landscape and reaching the other villas across the property — a beautiful and peaceful experience.A special mention to Violante, whose kindness and promptness in recommending everything—from local experiences to small practical details—made the stay effortless.The dinner prepared by the estate’s cooks was excellent, and the guest guide was the real gem, full of thoughtful recommendations that made exploring the area incredibly easy.We loved it so much that we are already coming back in July for a full week.

I spent four incredible nights at Villa Aiale, and it was beyond all expectations. Traveling in the off-season, I didn’t anticipate the villa to be even more stunning than the photos, but it truly was.The interiors are elegant and comfortable, with spacious bedrooms, beds of the highest quality, and luxurious bathrooms with massive showers. The kitchen is fully equipped, but the real treat was the private chef’s outstanding cuisine—every meal was unforgettable, and breakfast was a daily highlight.What truly set this stay apart was the exceptional hospitality. Violante, the host, is simply brilliant, ensuring everything ran seamlessly, and the staff was kind, discreet, and always attentive.Villa Aiale isn’t just a luxury rental—it’s an authentic experience, where tradition, beauty, and service blend perfectly. Villa Aiale è semplicemente meravigliosa. Abbiamo passato qui le vacanze di Pasqua e tutto è stato perfetto: la posizione è mozzafiato, con una vista incredibile sulle colline, e gli interni sono ampi, eleganti e pulitissimi e il giardino con la Piscina di 15 metri perfetto.La cucina è super attrezzata e l'accoglienza dello staff di Castelnuovo Tancredi è stata impeccabile. Un vero angolo di paradiso. Consigliatissima!

I was born and raised between the countryside and the city, and I have always found my balance in the authenticity of rural Tuscany — its rhythm, its silence, its connection to nature.

I love restoring historic buildings, bringing them back to life without erasing their soul. Every detail you see in Villa Aiale, from the fabrics to the antique furniture, was chosen with that philosophy in mind: understated elegance, never excess.

What I enjoy most about being a host is creating an atmosphere where guests feel not like tourists, but like temporary custodians of a living heritage. When someone leaves Villa Aiale saying they felt “at home,” it is the best compliment I could receive. I hope every stay inspires guests to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the land — just as my family has done here for generations.

The area surrounding Tenuta Castelnuovo Tancredi is one of the most authentic corners of southern Tuscany — suspended between Buonconvento, Montalcino, and the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. It is a place where time slows down, where vineyards, olive groves, and cypress-lined roads still define the rhythm of life.

What I love most about this part of Tuscany is its duality: untouched nature and deep culture coexist in perfect harmony. In a single day, you can walk through medieval villages, taste Brunello wine at its source, and return to complete silence under an open sky.

Unlike many resort areas, this landscape remains private, rural, and real. Our estate extends over 600 hectares of organic farmland, offering endless views and absolute privacy, yet we are just minutes from excellent restaurants, local artisans, and the train station in Buonconvento that connects directly to Siena and Florence.

This area embodies everything I value: authenticity, history, and respect for nature. It’s a place where each season has a personality — golden wheat in summer, misty mornings in autumn, crisp light in winter — and where life is still measured by the sound of the wind, not the clock.

Every architectural element — the vaulted ceilings, terracotta floors, oak beams — was restored by local artisans using traditional techniques. The interiors blend antique furniture from the family collection with modern pieces crafted in Tuscany. The result is a house that feels both timeless and alive, where history and modernity coexist naturally.

What truly makes Villa Aiale unique, however, is its setting. The villa sits at the southernmost edge of the estate, entirely private, surrounded by fields, vineyards, and centuries-old oak trees. From every window you see the landscape — not other houses, not roads, just the rolling Tuscan hills and the changing light.

The estate itself is fully organic, practicing sustainable agriculture long before it became fashionable. Guests can enjoy wine tastings in the 18th-century cellar, explore private walking trails, or simply experience what we call the luxury of silence.
