Dette hjem ved søen på firesæsonen er den perfekte get-a-away. Stort dæk med udsigt over søen, hængekøje at slappe af i og stor dock med fiskeri og padlebåd. Fjederfoder krystalklart vand. Perfekt til fiskeri (fuld af largemouth bas), svømning, padlebåd eller bare sidde på dækket og nyd den smukke udsigt. Denne sø har ingen offentlig adgang - de eneste mennesker på søen ejer hjem på søen. New Hampshire berømte antikke allierede er kun 3 miles væk. Hampton Beach ligger kun en kort 20 minutters kørsel. Downtown Boston er en nem dagstur (1. 5 timers kørsel). Tæt på det hvide bjerg og få minutter væk fra ørredstrømme. Satelit-tv, højhastigheds-WiFi, aircondition, vaskemaskine / tørretumbler, brændeovn, pejs, stereoanlæg på dækket, blåbær, hindbær og brombærbuske. Et soveværelse med queensize-seng, et med to tvillinger, sovesofa, kælderen har en tvilling og en futon. Dejlig niveau baghave til at kaste en fodbold eller spille en omgang dårlig vante. Efterårsløv er absolut betagende. Masser at gøre om vinteren også: isfiskeri, skiløb, ishockey, nærliggende snescooter.

Alt hvad du har brug for er inkluderet - gryder, pander, sengetøj, håndklæder osv. Huset er professionelt rengjort og vaskeri udføres mellem hver gæst.

This rental is located on a beautiful lake that we had intended to fish on with the provided fishing boat. Unfortunately, the boat is not in great shape and the seats need to be replaced, so we were unable to use it for our trip. We did however, enjoy using the kayaks. The house was clean & the kitchen had old cooking tools (some unusable) but it worked. Important to know is that the bathroom has very low ceilings and taking a shower and using the mirror can be a challenge. Also, bring your own life jackets as the ones provided are very dirty and some have mold on them. Beaches are only one hour away and restaurants are half hour so the location is great! We have had many rentals and this was our third lake rental and the other two got raving reviews and unfortunately we are not able to do the same for this rental. With all this being said, we actually did enjoy our vacation at this beautiful lake!!

Thanks for the review, Neal, and for staying at the lake house! Being a cabin-style home, there are some areas with lower ceilings, which can definitely be a little inconvenient for taller guests. We also appreciate the feedback on the knives and boat seats. We’ll make sure those are addressed. As for the boat, unfortunately some rain came through right before your stay, but there are hand and electric pumps available to quickly remove any water that collects. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope you’ll come back and enjoy the lake house again!

The house was great, super clean and had tons of amenities. It was so nice having kayaks right there to use. The neighbors were so friendly. Our stay was during some very hot days and the temperature inside was perfect! The pond water was so warm and great to swim in. Overall a wonderful stay!

Lovely stay! Beautiful setting and grat cottage.

We stayed for a week and had a lovely time. Matt (the host) was so helpful and responsive. The cottage is a wonderful place, right on the water, great deck for lounging, grassy lawns, nice dock, and firepit for evening conversation, super easy access in to the lake for all ages. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. We loved staying here and hope to be back next year.

Nice stay

We had a very nice stay. The improvements in the furniture setup made it much more liveable. Also, the weather was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time. We spent all our time fishing, sitting on the deck, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. For us, this week was about getting away from it all and just relaxing and this was the perfect spot for that! The house was just enough for our needs, it was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. As an added bonus, the owner was very nice and easy to contact and the neighbors were so sweet and friendly! We really didn't want to leave and hope to go back again someday!

Nice time

It was good staying here. We are from Utah and traveled to be with family for a 90th birthday. We had a slight issue when we got there with a paint stain on our sheet. I texted the host they responded quickly and had plenty of sheets underneath we were able to switch it out with. Overall really happy with our experience.

The Lake is fantastic!!! Water is clear and we swam almost everyday. My husband (the fisherman) caught a 3-1/2 pound bass off the dock. There's plenty of outdoor floats plus kayaks and a v hull boat for fishing. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was sufficient. (It's really only a one person kitchen) Matt was great to work with, and the neighbors were so friendly and personable they should be included in the amenities! Thanks for great time.

My summer vacation

Overall we are happy with our stay!! House was very clean. There was an issue with the boat, beyond anyone's control, which was explained. Beautiful pond, great fishing, swimming, kayaking... I would stay again!!!

Quaint Stay on Private Lake

We enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the fact that there was limited water traffic... we were a little disappointed at the proximity of the property to a heavily used road - there was quite a bit of traffic noise during the commuting hours. Great place if you don't mind traffic noise, though!

Thank you for your review. Just to set the record straight, the road is two lanes (one each way) and the speed limit is 35MPH.

A little gem

Great little cottage on a lake. Kind of a busy road made getting in and out a challenge but with some shoulder wiggle room, no problem. Kitchen is adequate but not fancy. Furniture was terrific. Host was receptive to a few problems and provided immediate response and accommodation. Really great little gem on a lake in a centrally location spot.

Great lake for swimming and boating

We loved our stay at the lake house! The lake was beautiful and clean, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with helpful items, including water toys and extra linens and towels. We also appreciated that it was dog-friendly and did not have a restrictive visitor policy, and we were able to have our pup stay with us, and have some family friends come for a beach day. The entry into the water is from a dock or a concrete boat launch, and it was great to have use of the canoe and fishing boat. There wasn't a sandy beach, but the swimming area is sandy and relatively free of weeds. The house is located on a busy road, but the speed limit is fairly low. Still, you do hear quite a bit of road noise. The lake side of the house is well separated from the road, however, and we never had to worry about our toddler or our dog wandering into the road. The house is also a close drive to Portsmouth, and we took a couple of trips into town on colder days, plus a day trip to the Children's Museum in Dover. It was great to have so many attractions nearby. The Winnie the Pooh trail is nearby and also worth checking out. We would have given our stay a 5/5, but there were a couple of issues. The listing said that there was a fire pit, but for the week that we stayed there it was missing. There were also some maintenance issues - a rickety water faucet and some broken panels on a glass bedroom door. The living room also just had two chairs, so not great for a group.

Stay away!

I’ve been renting places on VRBO and the like for over 10 years, multiple times per year and in many countries and have never been so badly treated! I have never in my life written a bad review, but I feel it's my duty to do so here! Let's begin with the cottage. No, it's not a house! There so were many little things that I usually overlook, like no washer detergent, no dish detergent, no coffee filters, not really working AC, the most uncomfortable mattresses ever!!!, etc... And don't even get me started on the "professionally cleaned" thing! There was a several months old spider web in the kitchen and cigarette buds all over the yard...The basement was disgusting! No way someone can sleep there! I dreaded going there to do the laundry and flip back on the circuit breaker. Yep, you can't use the microwave while the AC in the bedroom is on. All these are things I could deal with and I didn’t even mention to the owners. What really made me angry and feel unwelcome, is the lack of care from them when there are problems that are important!! After spending two hours shopping and preparing food for the grill, I found out that there was no gas! When I told them, instead of an apology, I got "did you see the spare tank?"! Yes, I did see the spare tank. It was EMPTY!!! It was 8:00 PM already and I had to think of something to cook with two starving teenagers waiting to be fed! There were two reasons I picked this place. I could bring my dog and I could fish from the boat. Well, we took the boat out, but we couldn’t even make to the middle of the lake. The battery was dead! We had to swim back pulling the boat behind us! I obviously sent a text to the owners telling them about it. And what was their reaction? "We will not be back till the end of the week." What? Well, that was a week away and the end of our stay! Any other owner would have apologized and run back the next day with a new battery! Not them! Absolutely indifferent!! They told me I can go to Walmart and buy a battery! I wanted to keep the kids happy, so I actually went, just to find out that they don't have deep cycle batteries! When I contacted the owners about it, there was no response of any kind!!! I mean nothing! Like they were irritated by me! I paid a pretty hefty price to stay a week in a dirty, unequipped shack with terrible beds! I think I had the right to be treated like a customer, not like someone who is bothering them! Find another place!

Thanks for your feedback Peter. In all fairness, the propane bottle exchange is 2 minutes from the house. I did drive up the next morning to replace the bottle for you. I think most people would call that responsive and someone who cares. We have added washer detergent to our check list. The spare dish detergent is under the sink. The coffee filters are in the drawer by the coffee maker. I personally check all A/C. Everything is working. The guest who stayed after you told me it worked great. I did buy a new battery (at Walmart) for the boat. It is important not to completely discharge the battery as it will not charge back up. There are two paddles provide for the boat as well. My kids (I have 6) and several of their friends stay in the basement all the time. We do not advertise the basement as a sleeping area because it is not finished. The person who cleans the house is very good. She also cleans our house. I do spot check her about every 3rd cleaning - but your stay was not one of the ones I personally checked. She is more than willing to come back and address any issue any guest has about cleanness - just give me a call and I will send her over.

The cottage has direct pond access with well-sorted equipment for swimming andkayaking. The house is pet-friendly, and my lab loved it. The house is located on a fairly noisy road, and I found the beds were firm.. Other than that, our trip was great!

We fell in love with this house the first time we saw it and knew it was going to be a great enjoyable get away for the family. We have 3 boys that love the outdoors and spending time fishing.

Fishing is great and pond has limited access that makes it a quiet place to relax and fish. Flat backyard with an easy in and out of the lake for swimming. The deck has amazing views of the large pond.
