This beautifully preserved property features 2 inviting bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, along with a spacious kitchen, a separate dining room, and a cozy living room. Great location! Relaxing, quiet and peaceful.We rode our bikes all over area , enjoyed a show at People’s Theatre. Tons of history in the area to explore .We will be back !

The property was beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch whenever we were between excursions around town. It is very conveniently located and within walking distance of restaurants and town. Our host was easily available to answer any questions.

Pros: The cost for what you get is excellent. An entire house both near the water and accessible to the small downtown area. Quiet neighborhood. Although no driveway, we were able to get parking directly in front every time. It's an old house but well kept with a modern enough kitchen and central air that worked great. A big bed and having laundry was a nice bonus too. Cons: The home could have been a little cleaner (some dust, cobwebs), especially the shower which also drained very slowly until we put a liquid plumber type of product in it. Some of the seasonings / condiments in the cupboard were expired. Overall, a positive experience, good value for the money. If it were a little cleaner it'd be perfect. I would recommend.

Loved staying in this historic house. I love old houses and antiques, so it was perfect for me. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again, if back in the area.

The house stayed very warm and it was wonderful to watch watch the barges stroll up the river. Great restaurant and convenience options within walking distance. A very comfortable and picturesque place to stay.

We LOVED the property! So conveniently located to everything.When you book your stay, be sure to check out neighborhood restaurants (The Busy Bee , and the Boathouse BBQ) for excellent local food.

The house served our visit purposes well. Owner had very good prompt communications. Enjoyed our stay. Only surprise is the road in front of house is busy with traffic including some noise and only has street parking but was manageable.

Beautiful historic home close to marrietta. Shower is nice and hot. You might want to bring your own blankets as there arent extras, except whats on the bed.

My friends and I loved this charming and spacious house in the heart of historic Marietta. Coffee on the porch watching the barges go by was a treat. And good dinning was just a short walk away. A real find!

The house is interesting from a historical perspective. We enjoyed the Victorian furnishings. The bed was comfortable. The host was responsive. The nearby restaurants were excellent, and the views of the rivers were great.On the negative side, there was black mold in the upstairs bathroom near the shower; the iron and board was missing; parts of the front porch were filthy and there were signs of termites.

The house was great. It had plenty of seating, and the living room and bedroom furniture was very comfortable. I loved the Victorian style, dark wood, and antique feel. It had a large kitchen and upstairs bathroom (along with the downstairs half bath). Note that no bedrooms are on the ground floor, if that is important to you. It is dog and cat friendly. The house was very clean, but the living room could have been cleaned of cat and dog hair better. Bring a lint roller, but that is minor. For anyone with cat or dog allergies, this is not the house for you, though, even if you travel with air purifiers.

Little charm in Marietta

This property is very cute with a gingerbread charm and a lot of character. This place has been redone and has plenty of space for families of all sizes and resides in a great location close to everything Harmar and downtown Marietta. The property owners communicated very well and no issues. We highly recommend this property and hope that others have as great experience as we did for the holidays.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is a very old Victorian home with many of the original floor boards, fireplaces, and woodwork. We loved this. The furniture was comfortable as well. The house was clean and the bedroom we slept in was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The modernized kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of seating in the dining room. The bathrooms have been modernized and were very clean. The full bathroom upstairs was very large and had the washer and dryer in it. Plenty of hot water but could use an additional towel rack or 2. During our stay, the weather outside was hot and humid but the house was very comfortable even a little cooler than we are used to. The house is very pet friendly and has a fenced in backyard. Our dog fell asleep everywhere in the house. The backyard consisted of mostly weeds and some bare spots. There was a small firepit in the middle of the yard and a table with 6 chairs. The handrail down the steps from the deck to the backyard was in serious need of replacement. The host was very quick to respond when I brought this to his attention. Every communication I had with the host was positive and very quick. The only drawback for me was the listing said parking is available. Parking is in front of the house on the street that is busy 24/7. I was not a fan of this but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. Plenty to see and good food within walking distance.

Victorian home with modernized kitchen and bathrooms

Very Victorian main areas of house. Nicely modernized kitchen and bathrooms. Washer dryer and fully fenced back yard. The kitchen is large but not fully equipped for cooking. Limited pots pans and cookware. Overall a fun place to stay within the popular Harmer area.

Overall nice

Old, but comfortable. Could have used a bit more cleaning and a few items could have been fixed, or maintained, and there was nothing in the backyard.... No fire ring, no chairs, no grass. It is close to many good places to eat, so, overall...we enjoyed our stay! The host was helpful and answered our questions promptly. inHost was very helful with our questions.
