Our stay at the Buckley House in Marietta was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for in a way that’s rare to find.The hosts went above and beyond to make our visit special, offering thoughtful recommendations for local restaurants that ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. Their knowledge of the area truly enhanced our experience and made everything feel effortless.Even more impressive, they worked closely with us to create custom welcome baskets for all of our guests, which added such a personal and thoughtful element to the entire experience.The home itself was charming, comfortable, and well maintained, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Every detail felt intentional, and it was clear how much pride the hosts take in creating a memorable experience for their guests.We left already talking about our next visit. Our group of eight friends set off from New Martinsville, WV aboard a pontoon boat, cruising the Ohio River toward Marietta. We docked at the Marietta Boat Club, and from there, it was just a short walk to The Buckley House—perfectly located in the heart of town.The timing couldn’t have been better. Right across the street, a lively festival was underway, featuring a fantastic selection of Ohio microbreweries. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, adding a fun local flavor to our stay.The Buckley House itself was beautiful—immaculately clean, well maintained, and full of charm. It felt like a true home away from home. In the morning, we strolled over to Busy Bee for a delicious breakfast, then returned to gather our things and continue our river journey.This stop in Marietta was a highlight of our trip. The Buckley House’s location, comfort, and proximity to local attractions made it an ideal choice for our group. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the Ohio River or looking for a memorable stay in Marietta.

My family and I recently enjoyed a four-night stay at The Historic Buckley House, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Traveling with my parents and husband, we chose this property not only for its charm but also for its proximity to the small town where my father grew up. It served as the perfect setting for a mini family reunion.The home is beautifully maintained, with a spacious back deck that easily accommodated our gathering. There were plenty of tables and seating for everyone, and the kitchen island worked perfectly as a buffet setup. Parking was never an issue, with ample space available both in the driveway and along the street.Inside, the house was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. Each bedroom featured a comfortable bed and a private en suite bathroom, which made our stay especially convenient and enjoyable. The location was ideal—directly across from a picturesque park that added to the peaceful atmosphere.Communication with the owner was excellent. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the booking process and our stay.I would absolutely stay at The Historic Buckley House again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed rental in a charming and historic setting.

We had an amazing stay at The Historic Buckley House! The host was extremely responsive and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The house is beautiful, full of character, and in a perfect location. We didn’t want to leave!

Buckley House is absolutely perfect for a family gathering. Four en suite bedrooms, large kitchen with a coffee bar (Kuerig, coffee press, Mr Coffee, .) Stove, microwave, dishwasher,. Kitchen island. Two living room areas for time alone for reading or phone calls. Powder room on first floor and a dining room. We enjoyed the front porch for our first cup of coffee and discussing plans for the day. The back porch has several tables that we used for eating and visiting. The house is perfectly located for a walk into town…great stores. Restaurants and Pubs. The house is across the street from a beautiful little park..take a walk, ride a bike..even has a circuit of strength machines. We will definitely return to this location for a future family gathering.
