Lakefront 3-bedroom house on Amon Carter Lake in Bowie

NOTE!! This is not a handicapped accessible home-there are steep steps going to the front and out the back doors. Welcome to this boutique lake front home in Bowie where you may see deer, fish and all types of birds. The neighbor cat may wander over to see who’s home also. This peaceful property has 3 bedrooms - downstairs with a queen bed, upstairs with two twin beds and upstairs with a full bed. The downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower and the upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo.
The cozy kitchen opens to the living area and has cooking supplies, coffee maker, and kureg coffee bar. The living room has a sofa bed with memory foam topper. The house uses well water which is salty. So bagged ice and bottled water are provided for drinking and cooking. The backyard looks out to the east for sunrises over the water and early morning fishing. Fishing supplies are provided. A kayak, paddleboard, floats and life jackets are ready to go. A sunfish sailboat is available with a little notice to get rigged for sailing. Enjoy the fire pit to make s’mores or sit out at night and listen for the deer to come. Children and pets are welcome. Please know there are 13-20 steep steps going up to the front door and down the back porch. Book now and enjoy everything this house has to offer.

This was the cutest little place and was perfect for our family to hangout and relax! We came to visit family & they ended up coming to hangout with us at this house and we all hung out around the fire and chatted with a great view of the lake! We will absolutely coming and staying here when we are in town visiting family next time!

Absolutely wonderful place for a family outing. The host is amazing. Our family highly recommends staying here.

We cant say enough good things about our stay! The house was fantastic and the host has a great eye for the small details that made it so comfortable from the start. We enjoyed the kayaks for a bit before relaxing by the fire pit. The kitchen was well-appointed to make a good dinner and breakfast during our stay. This was a wonderful weekend getaway and we will certainly revisit!

Don’t overlook this house! The house was very clean, what stood out was the great hospitality. From the homemade cake to the s’mores, the worms provided for fishing, breakfast ingredients, and all the extra products that one often forgets to pack. We will definitely be back!

It was awesome. We were in town to celebrate our lake friends' son's high school graduation and this was a very nice place to stay while visiting the Bowie area.

Highly recommend this lovely lake home!

Home was spotless, well stocked. Beds were extremely comfortable. Very welcoming and homey. Great views and yard. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Excellent communication from the host - very clear and easy check in and check out information.

Absolutely beautiful home and view! We had an excellent time celebrating my mothers birthday with just the girls. We showed up to a great surprise of a Happy Birthday banner hung up and a cake on the counter. We enjoyed making a fire in the pit out back and just sitting around talking. Bathrooms and bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. Thank you for the wonderdul stay!

Fantastic lake property

Beautiful lake front property. Owner's have thought of every need. Well stocked kitchen that made cooking easy. Even had condiments and some breakfast items in fridge which was a huge plus. Kayaks were so fun. Could see this being an annual trip.

Texas Get-Away!

An incredible property! Very clean, comfortable and homey. It had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen to great beds and baths. Seating was great both in and out of the house. The sunrises over the lake were fantastic. We appreciated the charcoal grill. There wasn't anything that was missed in making this feel like home. Highly recommend to anyone for a short or longer stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back next year for Texas Get-Away II.

Amazing Lake House

Everything was awesome! Kitchen was equipped w/all cooking supplies. Wonderful cake & breakfast items. Beautiful fresh flowers. Every detail was thoughtful. Highly recommend this stay! Stayed over Thanksgiving week, so couldn’t really utilize the lake. But it would be a perfect summer stay! Beautiful view.

Birthday Getaway

Got away for the weekend for my wife’s birthday. Jennifer had a birthday banner hanging up and delicious Black Russian cake waiting for us. The home is immaculate and the views were spectacular! Such a peaceful lakeside home. Kayaking, bird watching, and sitting by the fire were fun! Relaxing is an understatement. We will be back!

I recently stayed at this rental and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The property was not only clean and well decorated, but it also has a beautiful lake view that made the stay feel peaceful and relaxing.The host put thoughtful touches throughout.The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials — cookware, utensils, Keurig, and some basic pantry items. She provided a delicious black russian cake and supplies for breakfast.The host was responsive, friendly, and made the whole process smooth.Overall, this rental exceeded my expectations. Access to the lake and the view outside the backdoor made the experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway.
