The location was nice, walking distance to the beach. A lot of stuff was closed though because we came after Labor Day. Did get to walk to a car show though, that was fun. Liked having a washer and dryer. Disappointed that there was not coffee provided, also plastic on the bed in the master bedroom was horrible. It just makes you sweat! This place really needs to be deep cleaned. Super dusty.

Our family loved this cottage! Everything you need and nothing you don’t! So quaint and quiet, but so close to everything! So pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a location!!!

Property was as described. Great location, quiet neighborhood which at this time of year was very busy, clean, well organised Within walking distance to beach areas. Owner kept in contact and updated us as needed. We look forward staying here in the future!Would highly recommend!

Great place by OOB

Convenient to all that Old Orchard Beach has to offer. Great communication and offerings of beach chairs and beach towels. Wonderful time. Definitely recommend.

Short and sweet stay

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. Such a cute home with everything that one would need while on vacation. The home is immaculate and well appointed. We will be back for sure.

Very comfortable home in a perfect location for all OOB offers!

This was our family’s first trip to OOB and we couldn’t have had a better place to stay. Convenient location that allowed us to walk to many restaurants, shops, and most importantly, the beach and pier. Home was very well maintained, comfortable and afforded plenty of space for our family of 5.

Mother Daughter Get Away

Property is well maintained and was immaculate. Has everything you need for a long or short stay. Easy and short walk to the boardwalk and beach. Close to Portland. Owner of the property is fantastic. Highly recommend this location.

Clean quiet and comfy

I was worried a cottage so close to the beach would be noisy but I was pleasantly surprised. It was peaceful, with a lovely screened porch where I enjoyed tea and a good book in the early mornings and the evenings. The cottage was clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there for a lovely time. Thank you!

Cozy, Convenient Vacation Cottage

Overall, a really great home to stay in and if we were to go to OOB, would strongly consider it again for many reasons. My 2 1/2 year old son, husband and I just spent almost a week at this home and it was perfect for our needs. It's hard to believe it's the regular home for the owner as the place was simply decorated for character, but without a lot of extra stuff you sometimes find at someone's home. It had all of the necessities in the kitchen to have home cooked meals (including a large pot for a clambake) and modern amenities (wifi, cable tv, coffee maker, toaster, blender). The grill and seating in the yard and porch were nice. We didn't use much in the shed but it was well stocked if we wanted to take a cooler, chairs, noodles, etc. to the beach. The w/d is key since you have to bring your linens - but you can wash them before you head home. The owners are new and seem receptive to feedback, of which we have very few suggestions. I had asked about hand towels and was surprised by a nice gift of souvenir hand towels and bag when we arrived on day 1. Location was perfect - in a neighborhood on a quiet street yet still easily walkable (with a toddler and no stroller) to bagels, coffee and the beach. Parking is pricey so you're best off carrying it in or having someone drop off and pick-up if need be. It would've been nice to have more of yard to play with our son, but the driveway was large enough to throw baseballs. For those interested, there is a large playground by the visitor's center. It has a (free) bathroom and free 2 hour parking if you can get one of the prime spots. Otherwise, there is metered parking available in the same lot. OOB in general is a great location especially for those with children because if the beach and the sand aren't enough, Palace Playland, Fun Town Splash Town and York's Wild Kingdom are close for day trips. There are a few local breweries to visit and dining options in Biddeford/Saco are worth checking out too (The Chef and The Gardener was a nice find for us.) Runners should plan to run along the beach on the hard packed sand! Just a few caveats: for anyone in need of a/c in the hot summer months though, this might not be your best option as there are no a/c units. I would also caution anyone who is a light sleeper (particularly if you do keep the windows open) to think twice. We weren't bothered by the passing trains, but they do blow their horns late at night and early (5 am) morning.

Awesome location

This was a perfect labor day getaway for a group of five adults and a baby. We were able to easily walk to the beach and a bunch of small cafes and restaurants. But we were on a side street, so at night it was nice and quiet. The property was clean and had everything we needed (utensils, beach chairs, sand porch, etc). I hope we can come back next year.

Perfect location, quiet neighborhood 2 minute walk from the strip

This was our second year staying at this property. It had everything we needed for the week, including the beach buggy so it was less we had to pack. It was a 5 minute walk from the house to the pier but in a quiet neighborhood. The host checked in with us to ensure we were all set. We will stay at this property again next year. Beds were comfortable and having the washer and dryer meant packing less outfits for a family of 6.

Spent a fun weekend away here for the second year in a row. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach and all that downtown OOB has to offer! Clean property, responsive owner. Five stars!!

Perfect spot

The two cottages that we rented were the perfect spot for Old Orchard Beach. A quiet neighborhood located just a few blocks away from all the central activity. Easy to walk back and forth multiple times a day with three children for the beach, food, shopping, and deserts!

We had a great stay!

This was a perfect location for us. We are able to walk to the beach and we were far enough away from the busy town. This was perfect for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed. It was nice to be able to make breakfast there to start our day. I especially liked it had a washer and dryer so we didn’t have to do a lot of laundry when we came home. The home was exactly as listed and it was everything we needed. My teenage boys had a ball and didn’t want to leave. Thank you to the home owner! We had a great time.

Cozy and a great location

Nice place! Be aware that neighbors are very close (a concern with babies in both bedrooms) but the noise (typical summer outdoor visiting) ended at a decent hour (10-11 PM). It was very frustrating to supply our own sheets, towels and paper goods - so much to transport & set up. But we did it and enjoyed the beach & town very much. Owner was very responsive and helpful - thanks!

It's quiet neighborhood but short walk to everything

This cottage was perfect for for my family of 5. The kitchen was very well equipped so we were able to do our grocery shopping and make all of our meals. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with other cottages and houses yet within 5 minutes you were on the strip with all the shops, take out spots, scooter rentals, the beach and the playground. You really don't need to get in your car to go anywhere. Jeanette was great with her communication and even sent me a message to make sure we were all settled in. This was our 4th year going to OOB and for the 1st time we found a place that we want to rent again. My sister and her husband stayed in the cottage behind ours so it was nice that we were so close but had our own places.
